VVV Maral: Plantation Drive

Plantation Drive  On 13th July, 2019 plantation drive by VVV Maral students as undertaken in the campus. Students pledged to care for the saplings planted and make their surroundings greener. They vowed to save for the planet and make earth sustainable. Message conveyed to parents this day- “Children are doing their lot to save the planet for future, let's do our bit to save this planet for our future - our children. Let us plant trees!”

VVV Maral: Rainy Day

The children of Pre Primary section celebrated Rainy Day adorning their colorful rain coats & umbrella, singing rhymes while enjoying the rain dance. They also learnt about hygiene and health care needed in this weather along with recommended food to eat.

VVV Maral: Drawing Competition

On 31st July, 2019 students took part in a neighbourhood Painting Competition. The competition was organised by German Embassy in the memory of 60 years of Indo-German partnership at Emerald Heights School Indore. Seven students painted artistically expressing thoughts on environment and "3 R s-Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”.

VVV Maral: Independence Day

On Independence Day, students watched the movie ‘आजादी की कहानी’ and learnt the facts about Independence struggle. Teachers performed the skit ‘हम सब एक है’, thereby educating the students about importance of Independence and brotherhood for the country. A community singing activity was conducted with patriotic song led by Music. At the end, principal ma'am gave a message to students that we all should work in unity, help each other and create the environment of peace. Overall the cultural program was wonderful and students enjoyed a lot.

VVV Maral: Investiture Ceremony

Our School Council was installed for the session 2019-20, with oath of upholding the values of school bestowed to students in the investiture ceremony presided over by the Chairman SMC Mr. Dinesh Kumar Mittal, President - Maral Overseas Limited in the presence of other esteemed School Managing Committee members. It was conducted with the high degree of earnestness and passion signifying the reliance and confidence that the school consigned in the newly invested council.

VVV Maral: Janmashtami

The Janamashtami was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the pre primary wing. Kids dressed up as Radha & Krishna and performed dance on Krishna bhajans. They played games, recited songs and learnt lesson giving stories of Lord Krishna’s childhood and life. The kids were really looking adorable in Radha & Krishna outfits.

VVV Maral: Excursion for Boarders

On 25th August, 2019, school boarders went to Indore city for an exciting outing. On their trip, they watched inspiring movie Mission Mangal and all of them liked it. They also visited the zoo and got acquainted with wild life and various characteristics followed by sumptuous lunch at a popular eatery joint in Indore city.

VVV Maral: Green Day

On 31st August 2019, the pre-primary kids of our School did plantation in the campus, recited rhymes, learnt story of Green Trees and Birds. They all dressed up in green to celebrate Green Day. Kids enjoyed a lot while wearing different kinds of dresses and teachers explained them that each one of you must protect nature and greenery to make this planet beautiful.

VVV Maral: Ganpati Making

Eco-friendly Ganpati making activity was conducted in our School by using natural clay. It is well known fact that Plaster of Paris is harmful to the environment which is commonly used to make Ganpati idols. Therefore, Maral School took the initiative to save our environment from Plaster of Paris by not using it and student made Ganpati idols by using natural clay.

VVV Maral: Teachers Day

Teachers Day was celebrated in the school on 5th September 2019, as arranged by senior students and school council members on the theme ‘PRATIBIMB’. Students explained their teachers to follow the same routine as they guide their students every day. The program began with morning assembly comprising of prayer, thought, news, talk and amazing facts. The essence of theme “pratibimb” was reflected in the skit, dedicated songs for teachers, the quotes presented to them and even in the documentary movie shot live during school functioning. The day witnessed a creative tribute by students for their teachers. Later, teachers spent the whole day together rejuvenating with Movie and Lunch at Indore – sponsored by the School management.

VVV Maral: ISRO Scientist Visit

A seminar was conducted on 6th September 2019. Mr Ravi Kumar Verma, renowned scientist from Nimar, working with ISRO, obligingly oriented the students with intricacies of Chandrayan Mission and informed about vision, structure and working of ISRO. He shared his experience of working at ISRO and how he succeeded in becoming a scientist and got involved in the launching of Chandrayaan 2 Mission. He gifted informative charts to students related to solar system & missions of Chandrayan & Mangalyan. 

VVV Maral: SGFI District Level Karate Competition

In District Level, 15 students took part with full enthusiasm from our school. Eight students played exceptionally well and secured first position in their category and selected for Divisional Level Karate Competition. 

VVV Maral: SGFI District Level Badminton Competition

On 16th August 2019, Nine schools participated in Badminton Competition in different categories. From our school, six students took part in under 19 boys and girls category; both the teams were winners in the tournament and 5 students got selected for Divisional Level. On 19th August 2019, Divisional Level Competition was organized at Indore, both the teams of our school were runner up in the tournament. Master Aman Mishra and Ms. Sanjeevni Dhere were selected for State Level Competition.

VVV Maral: SGFI District Level Volleyball Competition

District Level Volleyball Competition was organized on 16th August 2019. Seven schools participated in different categories during this competition. From our school, 10 students took part wherein the boy’s team stood runner up in the tournament and 4 students got selected for Divisional Level. Everyone was really happy with the efforts of the students on such a big level.

VVV Maral: SGFI District Level Kabbadi Competition

A District Level Kabaddi Competition of under 14 & under 19 (Boys & Girls) was organized on 19th August 2019. Ten schools participated in both the categories of the tournament. From our school, 15 students took part and played on a District Level with full enthusiasm.

VVV Maral: ISKO Karate Competition

On 25th August 2019, ISKO organized M.P. State Karate Competition at Indore. From ours school, 22 students took part and won seven gold medals, nine silver medals and ten bronze medals. The School team won the Overall Runner up Trophy of the tournament which was a great achievement for students as well as for the school.

Graphite School: Teachers Day

HEG celebrated Teachers day on 5th September, 2019 by honoring all the teachers of our Graphite School, Mandideep. The students of our school have scored very well in the past 10th and 12th board exams with highest percentage which are as follows:

10th –  Kumari Pooja verma - 94 %

12th – Master Ashutosh Tripathi – Maths & Science - 95.4%

12th – Master Ayush Tiwari - Commerce - 95.4 %

The credit of above results goes to the hard work and dedication of our school teachers. “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”

Graphite School: MP Tourism Quiz

MP Tourism Quiz was conducted by DTPC, MP Tourism and School Education Department on 7th August, 2019 and it was conducted in two levels. First level was written test and second level was Multimedia Quiz. Students of classes IX to XI took part in the quiz competition and showcased good skills and general knowledge of MP Tourism and Development. Participation helped the students to learn the techniques of quiz and a vast information about Madhya Pradesh state . 

Graphite School: Online Space Quiz

In order to awake the knowledge of Science and Technology basically in the context of space science, the government organized online space quiz for students of classes 8th to 10th. This quiz was organized from 10th to 25th August, 2019. and 95 students took part in the same. All the students got participation certificates after the end of this contest.

Graphite School: Investiture Ceremony

Independence day was celebrated in school with patriotic fervor. The School decked in tricolor flags and decorative pieces looked very beautiful. Students performed  colorful programs and showed their love towards their motherland and pledged to safeguard the Independence of our country. A  skit ‘SWATCHTA HI SEVA HAI’  by  students conveyed the message of making their city plastic free and saving environment. 

Graphite School: Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi festival was celebrated in school with pomp, gaiety, joy and devotion on the 2nd September, 2019. Students made eco friendly clay Ganesha and sensitized the students on the importance of preserving the environment. No child was seen felt short of either enthusiasm or poise and all of them made their own beautiful piece of Ganesha idols. Students were told not to forget the culture, traditions and importance of celebrating our traditional festivals.

 

Graphite School: Teachers' Day

On the birth anniversary of Shri Sarvapalli Radhakrishanan, Teachers Day was celebrated in school on 5th September, 2019. Students took over the mantle of responsibility by stepping into the shoes of the teachers and taking charge of the school for a day. They presented a variety of programs which was energetic, vibrant and stole the hearts of all their teachers who were greatly impressed by the show and appreciated the wonderful performance of the students. Teachers were felicitated with mementos as a token of appreciation for their valuable works. Best teachers awards were given in different segment. As a special appreciation school management organized a felicitation program for teachers and honored the teachers and distributed token gifts. At the end of the program a grand feast was arranged for all.

Graphite School: Cleanliness Drive

To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, awareness is created among the students to be truthful, follow the principles & ideas of Gandhi. The students have taken the resolution to keep their surroundings clean and say NO to plastic. The teachers and students spread awareness through speeches, slogans, banners, posters showing message to save the earth. Skits and Nukkad-Nataks were presented in the local areas highlighting the importance of pollution free nation and to create an eco-friendly environment. 

Graphite School: Dussehra

Dussehra festival is one of the unique in its perception and significance. Dusserha celebration in school was organized to mark the victory of Rama and signify the victory of goodness over evil, light over darkness and happiness over gloom. With the traditional worship of god everyone in the school seemed to be in a state of absolute bliss. Adored in beautiful and attractive outfit, all students participated in Garba with devotion and danced with enthusiasm and spirit of festival to the melodious numbers. All the staff and students were a part of the footloose frenzy. 

Graphite School: Annual Pedagogical Plan & Experiential Learning Workshop

An informative and interactive workshop was organized by Sahodaya Group, Bhopal on “Annual Pedagogical Plan & Experiential Learning”  for CBSE School Principal & secondary teachers on 3rd October, 2019. Graphite school teachers enthusiastically participated in this workshop, also it was attended by Principal, Ms.Vinita Mishra & the faculty staff Mr. Manoj Richariya & Ms. Neeta Bhansali. The resource person Shri Manoj Katekar, Principal of Gail School, Bijapur conducted the workshop and expressed the role of integrating art & experiential learning in the pedagogy plan of school. Our Principal Ms. Vinita Mishra also gave her suggestion for inculcating experiential learning in the lesson plan for teachers to make learning more enjoyable for students.The session was truly enriching for all the principals & teachers for improving instructional practices & managing data and administrative processes to foster qualitative improvement.

Graphite School: NCC Camp

2 MP AIR SQN NCC BHOPAL COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP CATC-IX was held at sports hostel NO -1&5 BHEL BHOPAL between 10th to 19th August, 2019. 25 NCC Students of Graphite School attended the camp and participated in the rigorous trainings of drills, PT and learnt disaster management and rifle shooting .NCC cadets were given training to make them socially and morally active and March past helped them to be strong, sturdy& disciplined. Personality grooming was one of the major aspects of the training in the camp. In order to make the cadets s socially responsible tree plantation was done in the campus with a message of saving the environment.

Graphite School: Divisional Chess Championship

Khel Evam Yuva Kalyan Vibhag organised Divisional Chess Tournament at Sehore, MP on 13th September, 2019. Twenty four students participated in the Chess Championship from our school and two students, Master Vicky Malviya & Master Saksham Jain were selected for State Level Chess Championship. 

Grahite School: State Ball-Badminton

School Games Federation of India conducted a Ball Badminton Tournament at Model School, Bhopal on 28th September, 2019. Teams of ten divisions took part in this tournament and from our school there were twenty nine students who participated in the tournament. The senior boys’ team was the winners and team of Bhopal division was the overall champion of the event.

Graphite School: Understanding Solar Panel

The students visited the solar panel site in the school and understood the working of the solar panel. Students learned the practical working of the solar panel that works by allowing photons or particles of light to knock electrons free from atoms generating a flow of electricity. They were happy to learn that the photovoltaic cells in solar panel converts sunlight into electricity. The visit were informative and educative for the students.

VKV Hurda: Spic Macay

The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Among Youth, conducted Odissey Dance ‘Gotipua’ on July 17, 2019. Fourteen young performers of age five to ten years, danced with such a grace and beauty in feminine dressing that it was difficult for audience to recognize that they were boys. The dancers formed complicated pyramids by twisting their bodies into stunning forms and their flawless movements and postures captivated everyone’s eyes. The venue was filled with delighted applause and heart-felt amusement.

VKV Hurda: Vijay Diwas Day

26th July, 2019 was celebrated as Vijay Diwas (Kargil Day) at VKV, Hurda school premises. On the occasion, one of our ex-student Siddharth Rathore presently serving in the special forces of Indian Army addressed and motivated the students of the school to always give priority to the nation first and be ready to sacrifice for the country.  

VKV Hurda: Interschool Debate Competition

An Inter-School Debate Competition was organized on September 13th, 2019 at St. Paul Senior Secondary School, Bijainagar. Seven students have participated in the competition from Gulabpura and Bijainagar. Our school won the Champion’s Trophy among the competitors and our student Ms. Ayushi Sharma of Class 12th (Science) stood on second position in the competition.

VKV Hurda: Air Rifle Shooting Competition

A District Level Air Rifle Shooting Competition was held on 2nd & 3rd August, 2019. From our school twenty six students participated in the tournament and won Nine Gold, Nine Silver and Six Bronze Medals. The performance of Anjali Gurjar of Class 9th and Gaurav Gurjar of Class 10th was commendable.

VKV Hurda: Parents Teachers Meeting

A Parents Teacher Meeting was conducted on two different days i.e. classes L.K.G. to II on 9th August and from classes III to IX on 10th August, 2019. Parents as well as teachers shared and discussed their views and problems regarding their wards. The session was really fruitful for all of them as everyone cleared their doubts and concerns. 

VKV Hurda: Independence Day

An Independence Day was celebrated at our school on 15th August, 2019 with great pride. The Flag Hoisting ceremony was followed by the March Past and Cultural Programme by the school students. The day was full with fun and patriotism for students as well as for teachers and principal of the school.

VKV Hurda: Painting Competition

On 24th August, 2019 an Inter Class Painting Competition was conducted from Classes III to IX at inside the school premises. In this competition, 125 students participated with full enthusiasm. It was conducted in two age groups i.e. Junior and Senior groups and the winners were awarded with the trophies. 

VKV Hurda: Fit India Movement

It was launched on August 29th, 2019 by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Our students observed the programme very carefully as Fit India Movement is a programme to take the nation on a path of fitness and wellness. Motivated by this programme our school also started Yoga, Mass P.T. and various games in a daily routine to keep students fit, healthy and active.

VKV Hurda: Teachers Day

There was a grand celebration on Teachers’ Day by the Students of Class XII Science and Commerce stream. They presented cultural programme and honoured all the teachers of the school. The teachers were really happy with the efforts put in by students. Teachers also got appreciation by students for making them self reliant and knowledgeable.

VKV Rishabhdev: Vaccination Programme

It was organised for students on 7th August, 2019 to prevent both Measles and Rubella diseases. Total 1039 students from Play Group to Class Xth were vaccinated during this camp. The vaccination programme was executed in collaboration with Aasha Sahyogini, Anganwadi workers along with the medical team of Community Health Centre, Rishabhdev.

VKV Rishabhdev: Spic Macay - Artists Program

Artist Shakir Khan, one of the most promising young exponents of the legendary Etawah Gharana, gave introduction of Sitar instrument and showed them how it is played & what are the playing techniques. He also taught them how to create specific notes on Sitar.

On the other hand, Tabla Vadak Unmesh Banerjee, disciple of Pt. Sunil Banarjee and Vidwan S. Shekhar performed fabulously on Tabla.

The students were overjoyed and enthusiastic while they were performing. After the session, students cleared their doubts and queries with the artists.
