Maral Sarovar : Workshop on Women Skill Development

A one-day workshop with an aim of women's skill development and empowerment was held at Maral Sarovar in association with MasterG, a renowned NGO in New Delhi.  This workshop was conducted by Ms. Preeti Mishra, a trainer from MasterG. About 100 women from nearby society attended this workshop.  From Maral Overseas, Shri S.N. Goyal, President and Shri Manoj Thakker, Vice President (HR) addressed the audience.

Ringas RPSF Plant : Fire Drill Sessions

To spread awareness among staff and workmen, 3 fire drills were conducted on 25th July, 2021,25th Aug . 2021, and 25th Sep 2021 on a Dry and Wet Drill basis.

Shri Deepak Verma, Safety Officer organized this drill and he explained the process of safety to be followed in emergency situations.

HEG: Employee Engagement Activity

The Employee engagement activity is a part of HR that describes the dedication and faith in his or her respective job. To promote employee engagement, many activities were performed by employees from various departments. The motive for organizing this event was to focus on several factors such as communication, team building, boosting morale, and many more aspects.

The response to this event was overwhelming and employees were having different levels of enthusiasm among them. The rewards were distributed to the winning team for their commendable performance.

The training was conducted at Graphite House Lawn on 29th October 2022. This training was organized in the presence of our Executive Director Shri Manish Gulati and Head of the HR department Shri Axay Saxena.

HEG: Session on Quality Circle

A session on the quality circle was organized by HEG in gurukul by Padmashri Awardee Shri BL Chouksey. The employees were curious to know about the life events of the honourable personality and were keen to learn the lessons from his experience. The session was basically based on the Quality circle and how to deliver knowledge about the work ethics, work culture, and shop floor training that could help in optimizing the working more effectively.

The HOD of IT dept. Shri Rajesh Jetha & HOD of HR dept. Shri  Akshay Saxena greeted the hon’ble guest and addressed the session. The Event was Successful and all the employees had some take away from the life lessons of Shri BL Chouksey.

HEG: Training Session on IMS by Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas is a French company specializing in testing, inspection, and certification founded in 1828. It operates in a variety of sectors, including Building & Infrastructure,  Agri-food & Commodities, Marine & Offshore, industry, certification, and consumer products.

This training was conducted for the Integrated Management System which concludes all three ISO namely 9001, 14001, and 45001. An integrated management system is a single system designed to manage multiple aspects of an organization’s operations in line with multiple standards, such as those for quality, environmental, and health and safety management. 

HEG: Quality Concept Training

Quality concepts define the measures and the techniques used for the enhancement of the organization in every aspect. There are number of tools and methodology which are being used by top-notch organizations for successfully operating their functioning.

The training session for the awareness and implementation of the quality concept was organized by QCFI in the Atishay hotel, Bhopal. The session included various important topics such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, etc.

The team from the HEG participated in the event to learn about the quality concepts and how to maintain the quality standard as per the expectations of the organization.

The Employees attended the session and gained some new takeaways about the quality techniques and methodologies from this event.

Ringas : Motivational workshop

A motivational workshop was organized on ‘Safalata Ki Kunji’ at the Ringas plant on 23.12.22 for the employees Foremen / Fitters / Checkers / Senior Workers etc. This workshop was presented by Dr Pankaj Shukla, Being Capable Organization, Nagpur.

Kharigram : Training on “5S System”

HR department conducted an awareness cum training program on 5S at HR Conf. Hall 4-5, Kharigram on 14th Sept 2022. Sh Vinod Kumar Puroit, Manager-CTSC explained 5S and its implementation at the workplace in a very practical manner. During this session, he also elaborated on the review system, checks Sheets, documents, and internal audit of 5S at the workplace.

Kharigram : Awareness Session on HR Policy

HR Department, Kharigram conduct time-to-time refresher training for staff members to make them aware and update about various policy aspects and give clarity as and where required. In this context, an awareness programme on employee benefits & loan policy was conducted on 07th August-2022. A total of 35 staff members got benefited from this programme and they were encouraged to organise such awareness sessions periodically.

Kharigram : Fire Mock Drill

To check the awareness and response of the emergency response team, a Fire Drill was conducted on 25th  July 2022 in the worker hostel area. The firefighting awareness session was also done to aware workmen of the use of fire extinguishers, fire equipment, and Emergency equipment. Sh Dileep Chourasia, Manager-Safety conducted this drill. He explained the process of safety in emergency situations and how to deal with injured persons safely.

Kharigram : Training on Accident- Cause, Effect & Prevention

A training cum awareness programme on Accident- Cause, Effect & Prevention was organized on 8th August 2022 which was presented by Sh Dileep Chourasia, Safety Officer. Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Commercial, and Production departments were covered in this programme. The topics covered -Fire Fighting, EvacuationPlansn, Emergency Exits, Assemble methods, etc. He educated all personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond to different emergency situations.

Kharigram : Training on Market Complaint

A training session was organized on "Market Complaint, its nature, types, and remedies" on 04th July 2022 at Kharigram. Sh P.N. Jha, General Manager, Post Spinning took this session. He explained various types of quality complaints, market response, corrective and preventive actions for complaints, Post Spinning process checks for reducing the complaints, etc. Production, Quality, and NPD staff officers were covered in this program.

Kharigram : Learning session on Quality Complaints and their Remedies

An interaction cum learning session on Quality Complaints and their remedies was conducted on 18th  October 2022. Mr. Jai Singh Manager-QA explained about day-to-day quality issues at each stage of production, market complaints, and their remedies, etc. All Officers & Section in-charges participated in this programme.

Kharigram : Energy Conservation Week

In view of creating awareness among people to Save Energy. The Energy Conservation Week was celebrated from 8th Dec to 14th Dec 2022 at Kharigram. This celebration went off full of events and activities like the distribution of Energy Conservation Badges & Templates to all staff, LPG Saving & Safety templates to Staff Colony residents, Exhibition of Energy Conservation Posters, Webinar Presentation by different experts paneled in Beauro of Energy Efficiency, Various Internal training Programmes for Workmen, Energy Saving Suggestion, Poster and Slogan Competition for Children of Staff Colony. The price distribution ceremony was conducted at the end of this week and prizes were given to workmen staff and kids.

Kharigram : Fire Fighting training program

Fire fighting training program along with drills is conducted for staff members of the Kharigram unit on monthly basis. A fire fighting training program was conducted for staff members of our new mélange unit HJ-21 on 12th November-2022 by Plant Safety Manager Sh. Dileep Kumar Chourasia in which 26 staff members were educated on fire fighting further all members were detailed about the use of fire equipment installed in factory premises with live drills. 

Fire safety training is essential as it will assist learners in understanding the various possibilities and causes of fire formation, identifying fire hazards, particularly in workplace environments, and familiarizing themselves with fire safety devices such as different types of fire extinguishers, fire alarms; fire control mechanisms, emergency evacuation plans; and mock drills, which involve a series of active steps, etc. to prevent fire hazards.

Kharigram : Installation of TFO Machine

The TFO production facility at Kharigram increased with the installation of 23 TFOs having its production capacity increase of 6 tons per day. It was inaugurated by Sh Sukesh Sharma, BH, Sh. N. K. Bahedia, COO along with core team members on 21-10-2022. After the installation of these TFO Machines, the capacity increased by 6 tons per day.

Kharigram : Installation of Dyeing Machine

A new Dyeing Machine was installed and put to use by Sh. N. K. Bahedia, COO along with senior team members on 12-11-2022.

After the installation of this machine in Dye House, the production capacity increased by 2500 kg/day and the total dyeing production capacity reached 32 tons per day.

Kharigram : Training Programme -Safalta Ki KunjI

HR department conducted a 2 days motivational workshop-“Safalta Ki KunjI” at Kharigram on 21-22, Dec. 2022. This workshop was for Forman, Checkers, and Fitter category, Dr. Pankaj Shukla, Senior faculty, being a capable Organization took the session, also different motivational games were played during this program. After this program, the energy level of our checkers was observed very high with good feedback. They were very much happy to attend this external programme. A total of 88 checkers benefited from this workshop.

Kharigram : Interaction Programme -“ITME, 22”

An experience - sharing session was organized on 17-12-2022 at Kharigram in presence of Shri Sukhesh Sharma, BH after his visit to ITME,22, Noida. This season was interactive and knowledgeable, discoursed was an area of advanced technology, energy conservation, process optimizer & improvement quality and the shop floor team of production, engineering, maintenance, and QA were benefited with this session. 

Rishabhdev : KNOWLEDGE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME

A technical session for knowledge enhancement of Spinning and Finishing staff was organized at Rishabhdev.  Shri Gaurav Maheshwari, GM (SQC) was the Faculty.  He has taken classes and given training to the participants on how to improve our product quality on a sustainable basis.  Feedback from customers/market about the quality of our products was also discussed for ensuring the quality standard of our products to customers’ delight.

Rishabhdev : Session on Leadership

A two-hour session on `Leadership; was held at Rishabhdev on 29th September, 22 conducted by Shri D K Gupta, Principal, VKV.  Assistant Managers and above-level officers attended the programme.

Rishabhdev : Motivational Workshop on Safalta Ki Kunji

A  motivational workshop `Safalta Ki Kunji’ for foremen, Fitters, Checkers, and senior workers was organized at Rishabhdev on 17th December 2022. Shri Pankaj Shukla from Being Capable Organization conducted the workshop. The topics covered were mainly - the presence of mind, removing negativity, the secret of health, the law of change, anger control, etc.  The participants were approx. 75  in number and all enjoyed and liked the programme very much.

Rishabhdev : Technical visit of Engineers

A team of Engineers from The Institution of Engineers (India), Udaipur Local Centre visited Rishabhdev's unit on 17th December,2022. Shri Anil Dalawat, GM (Engineering) welcomed the team and showed and briefed them on the functioning of the plant. 

Kharigram : Special Induction Programme for Graduate Engineer Trainees

A Special Induction Programme was initiated in addition to the regular Induction process for the Campus-hired TGTs (Batch 2022). This programme placed a strong emphasis on enhancing TGTs everyday job-related knowledge and understanding of the organization's processes.

TGTs had an opportunity to interact with the leadership team, which included the JMD, BH, FH, COOs, and Department heads.Each instructor in our newly established introduction programme was a part of the RSWM family and a subject matter expert, which made it unique.

During this Special Induction programme, we have identified few TGTs as potential future manager based on their presence of mind, urge to learn, sincerity, and the quality of question raised by them pertaining to the subject and attach them with COOs office for 6 months to groom them as future Manager and involve them in strategic decision meetings, business study for their development/analytical study and other managerial decision making process.

LNJ Denim - Energy Conservation Week

Energy conservation is Energy Generation, LNJ Denim Unit celebrated Energy conservation week from 08th December to 14 December 2022, Shri Arbind Mishra & Shri Mahadev Sapkal inaugurated the celebration week on 08th December 2022 at the Spinning Conference hall with all staff members of the Denim Division. He asserted that there are many ways to save energy in our daily routine life, not in the company but also at our home also.

During this week all staff members & workers were taught about energy conservation & how we can utilize it in the best manner.

LNJ Denim - "Safalta Ki Kunji" Motivational Workshop Awareness Session

'Change is the nature of life' A motivation workshop - "Safalta Ki Kunji" was conducted on 16th December 2022 The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp & prayer by Shri Suketu Shah -BH. The one-day training program was provided to our Forman / Fitter / Checker / Senior Workers of LNJ Denim & Knits. A total of 48 employees participated in the program.  It was imparted by Shri Pankaj Shukla, from Being Capable Organization, Nagpur. It was a good programme to find out the inner potential of an employee. It was elaborated that how a man gets capable in four aspects of health, knowledge, money & characteristic. In the end, it was concluded by playing the game Unity of strength. It was a great learning for employees. All the participants were highly appreciative of the programme and they learned so many good things which can change and improve their lives. 

LNJ Denim - 5 S System Training

A training session & review meeting on 5 S was conducted on 08th October 2022 at LNJ Denim, the three-hour training program was provided to employees. The training was given by Shri Mahadev Sapkal. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about the use of 5 S & its implementation in plant. Before training 5 S Audit had conducted to review the implementation of 1 S & 2 S in our plant by our internal Auditor. They had given certain observations for further improvement in department-wise. Another review session was organized on 16th November 2022. A total of 25 staff members attended the session.

LNJ Denim - Traffic Awareness & Road Safety Training

Human Life is very much important in the world. On 23rd November 2022 a training session on Traffic Awareness & Road Safety has organized. The training was given by District Traffic & Safety Department, Banswara. Shri Sanjay Sharma District Traffic Officer has asserted the Value of human life, our safety, rules & regulation of safety, how we can avoid it, and how we can be saved in our daily routine life.

MPCL : Mock Drill on Fire Accident

An emergency fire mock Drill was conducted at MPCL near admin office on September 28, 2022 at 14:00 HRS. As per mock drill scenario, Fire had broken out in company mess, near administrative building. Two number of mess employees had stuck inside the kitchen of company mess and they were to be evacuated by MPCL fire rescue team. As part of learning, observations were recorded, for future course of action.

ADHPL : Re-Certification Audit of IMS

Re-certification audit of IMS (Integrated Management System) was completed successfully on 7-8 October 2022. The audit was conducted at the site by Auditors from the certifying agency. During the audit, the auditors inspected all the relevant documents pertaining to IMS followed by a site visit and interaction with different department in-charges and employees of ADHPL to assess the implementation status of Management Systems (ISO 9001; 2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001: 2018) at ADHPL. After completion of the audit, the lead auditor from the certifying agency recommended ADHPL for the re-certification of IMS for another three years subject to the successful completion of surveillance audits.

BSL : Specialized Training Program on Hazards Identification & Risk Assessment

BSL has organized a Specialized Training Program on the topic of “Hazards Identification & Risk Assessment” for their floor-level workmen-related workplace activities including machine operation and preventive maintenance. Approx 360 workmen from the Spinning, Weaving, and Processing Divisions participated in the said training program.

BSL EHS team has conducted such a training program to identify all the possible hazards at different workplaces& activities, conduct an occupational health risk assessment, calculate the risk rating based on the risk matrix, and compare the risk rating before and after the control measures.

Kharigram : Special Induction Programme for Graduate Engineer Trainees

For the Campus-hired TGTs (Batch 2022), a new Special Induction Programme was initiated in addition to the regular Induction process.

The above initiative will be helpful to nurture and retain the future managers of RSWM.

ADHPL : First EQHS management review committee meeting held

The first management review committee meeting of IMS for the certification year 2021-22 was held on 6th August, 2022, in the ground floor conference hall of the Admin block at ADHPL. All section in-charges, committee members & workers from various departments participated in the meeting. Chairman MRCM-cum-VP (TL), VP-F&A, HSE Manager corporate, TL-Bhuntar and TL-Sundernagar representatives joined the meeting through online mode. 

ADHPL : Re-Certification Audit of IMS Completed

Re-certification audit of IMS (Integrated Management System) was completed successfully on 7-8 October 2022. The audit was conducted at the site by Auditors from the certifying agency. ADHPL : Tier-2 Emergency Preparedness Drill on FLOOD

A tier-2 mock drill on flood was conducted on December 30, 2022, by ADHPL to check the emergency preparedness, planning and response of the rescue team.

The Pradhan Gram Panchayat Prini and Chahoga, people in the vicinity, staff of the small hydropower plants located in downstream of TRT and local administration were also involved in the mock drill.

The mock drill scenario involved a sudden rise of flow in Allain Nallah at the barrage (diversion site) and a subsequent rise in water level. Due to this, vehicular traffic on Allain road was closed and staff positioned at the barrage control room had to leave the site and move to a safer place. Looking at the dangerous water levels the Allain Barrage team closed the HR and bulkhead gates and flashed the message of emergency to control room PH. The mock drill was conducted as per plan and all parties took part actively in the drill.
