VVV-Maral: Seeds of Hope and Action Exhibition

The SOHA virtual exhibition was organized on April 7 & 9, 2021 for creating awareness among students gentry regarding Earth Charter and UN Sustainable Development Goals being professed by Bharat SOKA GAKKAI. The Initiative was inspired & guided by School's mentors and leading support of Hon'ble Mrs. Shashi Agarwal.

Muskan Chauhan, Meeta Rathore and Kyara Gupta of class-V, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar have given ideal information – how to live healthy life and stay secure and clean through their creative posters and drawings.

VVV-Maral: Digital Newsletter - Stay Positive to get Negative

Positivity has great impact on everyone’s life. Prevailing situations are influencing a person positively and negatively, both. Students felt the acute need to spread positive dialogue and strengthen people physically and mentally, who are fighting against Covid-19. 

In this odd situation, there are many people who defeated Covid-19 with the strength of their positive thinking and self-confidence.

Our student – Yatharth Kushwah of class-VI attempted to collate these stories from various publishes shared the so developed Digital newsletter among the people who are undergoing treatment so that they could get encouraged to fight and should reach back to their family and loved ones as earlier as possible.

He appealed the people to circulate such newspaper comprising motivating stories to as many people as possible so that by reading these inspiring stories; energy can be transmitted to them.

VVV-Maral: State Level Painting Winner

Splendid performance by the students of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar has been shown in state level competition in three Groups A, B,C by winning 4 positions out of 9. They won accolades and prizes in the Painting and Slogan competitions, organized by Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board on World Environment Day.

Mast. Mudit Patidar and Mast. Deep Patidar of class 4th achieved first and second place respectively in Group "B". Mast. Yatharth Kushwaha and Ku. Kavya Nayar of class 7th, secured first and third place respectively in Group "C".

VVV-Maral: Summer Camp

Though it was a pandemic time, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar was on the mission of engaged and active students and had organized Summer Camp on digital platform for the children. In this summer camp children got an opportunity to enhance their caliber of Art Music, Dance and also Sports & Yoga. During the camp, parents also attended the sessions and enjoyed with their children.

VVV-Maral: Webinar on Health Awareness and COVID Safety

The COVID-19 infection has become a part of our daily lives since March 2020. It remains as important as ever to stay vigilant and know how to protect oneself from Corona virus. Dr. Kusum Patidar – a renowned doctor of the area conducted a webinar for school students and parents. She detailed some very simple steps one can take to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect oneself and others.

VVV-Maral: Webinar on Mental Health and Music Therapy

As a treatment technique, music can be explored  to create a harmonious and peaceful state for the mind and body. Dr.Asavari Thombre (Director Music Therapy Ph.D Music, B.Ed, NET, Sangeet Alankar, Kathak Visharad (Pune) had been invited to interact with students and parents to emphasize over the importance of Music in mental well-being and maintaining cheer and positivity. She had shared her expert advice and experiences about medicinal benefits of Music treatment.   

VVV Maral: International Yoga Day Celebration

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar celebrated the International Yoga Day on virtual platform and students performed some effective and impacting  Yogasanas under the guidance of our teachers. Vivekians have been learning Yoga in school since long time in regular online classes also. This auspicious occasion provided an opportunity to showcase their talent.

VVV-Maral: World Music Day Celebration

On the occasion of World Music Day, the students of different classes presented a spectacular Musical show with great enthusiasm and enthralled the audience by rendering melodious songs, Piano recital, Tabla etc. The programme ended with the school Western Band singing ‘Wolves’. This celebration of music not only plays a vital role in the overall holistic development of the students but also creates awareness among the children about the importance of music in life.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Seeds of Hope & Action

The exhibition titled "Seeds of Hope and Action” (SOHA) was held in LNJ group of schools in association with Bharat Soka Gakkai on 7th & 9th April through virtual platform. Principal, Mr. D. K. Gupta gave welcome note on 7th & 9th April, 2021.

This exhibition is a joint initiative of Soka Gakkai International and Earth Charter International. It introduced positive vision for sustainable living that can contribute to the realization of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The exhibition was viewed with great enthusiasm by around 550 students from Grade 6th to 12th from all the four schools of LNJ Bhilwara Group. 

Total 8 students from VKV Rishabhdev presented the panels with lot of enthusiasm. They explained every panel to the viewers confidently and satisfied the students with their queries. The panels and the central message of the exhibition about the power of one single individual had a deep impact on the viewers and many left the exhibition with a deep resolve to effect a change in their environment and determined to spread the message of peace and hope in their respective communities. Our Mentor Mrs. Shashi Agarwal & Captain Jaspreet Kaur guided the students for their panel presentations. Mr. Anand from Soka Gakkai International gave answers of the questions raised by students.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Science Workshop

Six days ‘Online Integral Education and Hands on Science Workshop’ was organized by Sri Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi from 12th to 17th April, 2021. Our science teachers Mr. Jaiprakash Chaubisa & Mr.  Surendra Singh Chouhan participated in this workshop. We expressed our special gratitude to “Sri Aurobindo Ashram” as well as mentor brother Mr. Baren and sister Ms. Mahak Hira who gave us the golden opportunity to learn as how we can create interest in the students in science by the concept of “learning by doing’’.

This wonderful workshop will help us to address some practical issues/challenges/problems/doubts etc. that support us to get deeper understanding on subjects and concept of science. Our teachers came to know about so many new things which will help us to implement NEP-2020 recommendations. We look forward to attend such workshops in future also. After the workshop our teachers submitted a detailed feedback report which was appreciated by Mr. Baren. Both the teachers received participation certificates.

VKV-Rishabhdev: World Heritage Day Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev has sought to ignite the young minds of students through an Essay Writing Competition on 18th April, 2021on the occasion of World Heritage Day. The competition involved engaging the children in writing an essay on the topic - 'How to preserve our Heritage'. Students from classes Vl to Xll took part in this competition and certificates were given to the winners.

In Junior Group grade 6 to 8, result was as follows: First- Aarav Jain (VIIB) & Diya Kothari (VIIIB), Second- Janshi Jain (VIIB) & Jahnavi Jain (VIIIA), Third- Hiya Trivedi (VIIB) & Hiya Bandari (VIIIB).

In Senior Group grade 9 to 12, result was as follows: First- Ruchika Bhagora (XB) & Yukti Jain (XB), Second- Pahal Jain (IXB) & Mansi Pandya (XII), Third- Kirti Sevak (XA) & Koushal Kalal (XA).

Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was also organised for Grade I to V. Results of the competition are as follows:

VKV-Rishabhdev: Peace Club Orientation Session

A virtual orientation session was organized on 19th April, 2021 under the mentorship of Mrs. Shashi Agarwal. Members of peace club shared their activities conducted under peace club. Mrs. Agarwal emphasized that we should respect each and every person irrespective of their position or work they do. We should also try to understand the feelings of others. We should first change ourselves and start with small activities for change. Students also shared different small projects started by Inspire Peace Club like Polythene Collection for recycle, Ecobrick Project (An ecobrick is a plastic bottle packed with used plastic to set density. They serve as reusable building blocks. Ecobricks can be used to produce various items, including furniture, garden walls and other structures.), look after birds, animals, surroundings etc. 

VKV-Rishabhdev: Live Interactive Webinar on MIND HACKS

"How to Rewire Your Brain to Stop Overthinking"

A live interactive workshop on ‘Mind Hacks' was scheduled on Sunday, 9th May, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. We feel proud to share that our alumni of 2010-11 batch CA Ajay Bhandari was resource person on this occasion. He made a pragmatic presentation on the simple and practical techniques by which students can program their brain towards setting goals and achieving them too. First he introduced the principles of mind- focus, mind changes to negativity, guilt for not 100% efforts and stop comparing. He explained in very simple language, through stories, games and real life examples. He also explained the things which also determine our mental state such as food, sleep, breath, meditation etc.The students of class 9th to 12th attended the webinar. They put thoughtful queries which were answered interestingly by the resource person. The entire session was not only interesting but was like a rejuvenating warm up for the brain. The feedbacks were extremely positive.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Scout & Guide Training (Jagriti)

Three-days Scout and Guide online training was conducted by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev from 20th to 22nd May, 2021. These online training sessions were conducted for newly admitted Scouts and Guides. In the first session, instructors Ms. Nirmala Menaria and Ms. Indubala Rawal gave detailed information about the history, purpose and functions of Scouts and Guides to the students. 

On this occasion, the CO from the district headquarter, Udaipur Ms. Vijayalakshmi Rohilla also addressed the students. She advised the students to be self-disciplined, love the nation, serve the society and work with dedication. She appreciated the work of Scouts and Guides during this pandemic such as- public awareness rally, free masks distribution, water and seeds for birds and animals.On the second and third day, the rules of scouts and guides, prayer, pledge, salute, reason for left hand shaking, physical exercise, yoga, Surya Namaskar etc. were taught. In order to awaken the spirit of service and dedication in children, various illustrations were presented. On this occasion, scout instructor Mr. Omprakash Suthar also demonstrated different physical activities to the students. Principal Mr. D K Gupta also motivated the students on this occasion.

VKV-Rishabhdev: World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated across the world on 5th June every year. Its main purpose is to make common people aware of the burning issues of environmental pollution, climate change, greenhouse effect, global warming, black hole effect etc. and various problems caused by them among the people all over the world and they should do everything to protect the earth. An online webinar was conducted on Zoom Platform on 5th June, 2021 on the occasion of the World Environment Day. The theme of the program was ‘Eco System Restoration’. On this occasion Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar, IFS(Retired) & President, Green Peepal Society, Udaipur, Mr.Vikram Singh, IAS (Retired), Member, Appraisal Committee, Department of Environment Government of Rajasthan, Dr. K. S. Gopi Sundar, Scientist, Nature Conservation Foundation. Mr. Arun Soni shared their views on World Environment Day. 

Talking about the relationship between environment and human life, it is an inextricable relationship in which nature has given everything to humans, but in the name of its responsibility towards nature, humans neither conserved it properly nor worry about the future. As a result of this, today the world is getting buried under the wrath of polluted environment and natural disasters. On this day governments, NGOs and citizens try to spread awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and the impact of human activity on the environment. Whenever it comes to World Environment Day, global warming and climate change are discussed among the people.The panelists advised to develop native plants and avoid decorative plants. They also suggested when should we plant and how to take care them. On this occasion Vice-president Mr. K.B. Khatod, Mr. M.S. Manilal, teachers and students participated in plantation drive in association with WWF-INDIA. The guests were welcomed and introduced in the Webinar by Principal Mr. D.K. Gupta and Capt (Mrs.) Jaspreet Kaur proposed the vote of thanks.

VKV-Rishabhdev: World Day Against Child Labour

A virtual webinar on World Day Against Child Labour was organised on 12th June, 2021. On this occasion Dr. Shailendra Pandya, Honorable Member, Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Jaipur, Mr. Kuldeep Sutrakar, A.D.J. and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Smt. Sindhu Binujeeth, Child Protection Advisor UNICEF, gave their views. 

Every year, 12th June is observed as World Child Labour Prohibition Day across the world. It was started 19 years ago by the International Labour Union. The purpose of celebrating this day is to stop child labour and motivate them to take education. Many programs are organized around the world on this day.  Children are forced to labour, children are forced into illegal activities like drug trafficking and prostitution, due to this, this day is celebrated to make people aware about the problem of child labour and help them. The guests were welcomed and introduced by Principal, Mr. D.K. Gupta and Capt. (Mrs.) Jaspreet Kaur proposed the vote of thanks. This session was very informative and useful.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Health & Wellness Webinar

Health and wellness are very important for human beings to get success in life. A webinar on ‘Health and Wellness’ was scheduled on 15th May, 2021. The resource persons of the webinar were Dr. Dinesh Kharadi, CHMO, Udaipur, Dr. Shobha Lal Audichaya, Senior Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Udaipur and Dr. Rekha Soni, Life Skill Coach.  

Dr. Dinesh Kharadi focused on Covid-19 protocols, Vaccination and Post Covid-19 precautions. Dr. Sobhalal Audichay focused on Role of Ayurveda in Covid-19 treatment. Dr. Rekha Soni gave Yoga and meditation tips to stay fit and focused on chakra enerygy. They gave an insight on impact of Covid-19 on human body and laid emphasis on precautionary measures to be adopted in the current scenario.

The session was very interactive. The students, parents, teachers got their queries and doubts resolved by the resource persons. About 100 participants witness the session on Zoom App and about 400 on YouTube.

In this webinar, Mr. Kailash Menaria was introduced who, being a handicapped, donated his blood for 22 times and plazma during this pandemic. He was a great inspiration for all of us. His presence created a positive and an encouraging vibe in the programme. Thus it was very informative and useful session. Principal Mr. D.K. Gupta, Moderated the Webinar.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Webinar on Blended Learning

A virtual webinar was conducted on 19th June, 20201 on Blended Learning. The resource person, Dr. Rajesh Hassija explained the need and importance of Blended Learning in pandemic situation. This webinar explored the concept of Blended Learning and what it might look like for teachers and learners, including the integration of in-school and other learning environments.

Moving from theory to practice, the discussion focused on the need to plan for blended learning and design blends that are fit for different contexts in order to ensure a greater flexibility in the learning process. The role of teachers is key in designing and implementing such blends.

VKV-Rishabhdev: An Interactive Session with Army Officer

An interactive session was held in LNG group of School on 26-06-2021 on MS Team platform with Indian Army officers. Principal Mr. D.K. Gupta welcomed the army officers Lt Col Sophia Qureshi, Corps of Signals Indian Army and Col (Dr) Smita Misra, Army Education Corp, Principal, Sainik School, Ghorakhal. In this session students from class VI to XII got an opportunity to interact with officers from Indian army. The aim was to create awareness and counsel the students about various career option in the Indian army. 

The session started with a presentation about life in the Indian Army. They briefed the students about a wide range of career options offered by the Indian Army. They also provided the details of admission procedure to join Indian Army. They spoke about the adventurous life at Indian Army which thrilled the students. The students raised their questions which were answered by the officers to the utmost satisfaction of the students. The session was concluded with a thank you note presented the by Capt. (Mrs.) Jaspreet Kaur.

Graphite School: Parents Orientation Programme

The Graphite School understands the need of the hour and the daunting challenges for both the students and the parents and seeks the same support & persistent cooperation from its parents in the wake of this Pandemic. To discuss the academic overview and the upcoming endeavors, an online Parent Orientation Programme was conducted from 3rd to 8th June for all the classes from Nursery to 12th class. 

It was aimed at the sole purpose of bringing the two indispensable factors in the learning process of a child i.e. the parent and teachers, closer to one another. Principal Dr. Vinita Mishra elucidated the core attributes of the orientation like- Healthy Parenting, NEP2020 implementation, More focused practical learning, Child centric pedagogy modules magnificently. Parents also showed their profound attentiveness and attended the session with keen interest.

Graphite School: World Environment Day

Under its initiative to impart education on environmental needs, Graphite Higher Secondary School marked the World Environment Day with a programme that included activities to invoke respect, concern and action to conserve natural resources. Poster/Drawing competition was held on June 3, 2021 and students from classes III to V participated in it. In all 45 students participated with much enthusiasm and they mentioned the importance of being receptive to the urgent need to secure natural resources by participating in the ‘Poster Making Competition’.

The students of VI to VIII grades depicted their intense concern towards the nature by creating beautiful & thoughtful slogans with the theme “World Environment-Its Importance/Conservation”. The winners of Slogan Writing Competition were provided with virtual certificate of proficiency.

Graphite School: Cleanliness Drive

A clean environment ensures the health and safety of everyone. Graphite School realizes the fact of health & cleanliness and to practice the same a cleanliness drive was organized on 5th Day. The school fraternity and the alumni cleaned the premises of 55 Siddhi Temple. The drive was aimed to aware the people about the prominence of the clean & green surroundings.

Graphite School: Tree Plantation Drive

The Graphite School has a long standing tradition of preservation of culture, heritage and flora and fauna of the locality. In order to sensitize students and the citizens towards the need to preserve our environment and ecology, tree plantation drive was organized on the occasion of ‘The World Environment day” by the school fraternity in coordination with Forest Department, Youth Hostel of India, Mandideep Unit Association & Municipal Corporation. They planted several fruit bearing and the plants of medicinal value. Along with the plantation they took a resolution of their conservation.

Graphite School: World Day Against The Child Labour

The use of the children for financial work makes children denied of childhood, proper literacy, and mental, physical, and social well-being. In some countries, this practice is completely forbidden; however, it has become an international matter in most of the states as it is ruining the future of children extensively. World Day against the Child Labour was observed on June 12th to educate the children on the issue & address the global problem of child labour worldwide. 

A poster making competition was organized for the students of XI & XII with the theme ‘STOP CHILD LABOUR’. The students designed eye opening & thought provoking posters on the theme. These posters not only highlighted the issue but suggested the remedies for the eradication of the problem also.

Graphite School: International Yoga Day

International Day of Yoga 2021 was celebrated on 21 June with the theme focused upon telling people to stay motivated at home and adopt a healthy lifestyle by doing exercise and yoga. Children are getting fatter and desperate at home because they feel like caged animals in the wake of this pandemic. Thus, the venue of this Yoga Day was the home. Sports club organized online yoga sessions, wherein the children practiced several useful yogic asanas. 

A small Yoga session was organized in the school for the teachers also by Mr. Nirmal Sharma & Ms. Aarti Sharma, wherein the different yogic asanas were displayed and practiced. These exercise sessions rejuvenated & energized everyone with new spirits. The yogic asanas help the children & the teachers to stay optimistic and to explore new ideas to spend time.

Graphite School: Movie Show - MANIA-GUL MAKAI

Inspirational movies help kids when they have to draw conclusions for themselves and find solutions. In addition, the movies develop creativity, boost their ability to think, and stimulate their imagination. Keeping the views in mind the Peace Club showed the movie on child abuse (Komal) was shown to students of Class 3rd to 5th. The event was to make all students aware about what child abuse is and how to avoid / resist any unpleasant behaviour with them. It was a nice learning experience for all students.

Movie ‘Gul Makai’ was shown to students’ of VI to XII std. on 30th June 2021. Students found this movie show very refreshing and encouraging. They showed their appreciation for the Noble Prize winner and activist for female education- Malala Yusufzai by writing beautiful reviews on google forms.

VKV-Hurda: ‘Best out of Waste’ Workshop

To spread the awareness about sustainable development goals SDG’s, Art and Craft activities for classes 6th to 8th were organized. There were virtual workshops, competitions and exhibitions conducted.

Making the ‘Best out of Waste’ has been a part of human life since the early ages. Students made many useful things such as planters, pen stands, bird houses etc. in the workshop, and virtually exhibited in their class groups. These types of activities help to enhance not only creativity and presentation skills of the students, teachers but also help them to realize the importance of recycling and reusing and conserving the nature fulfilling the SDGs in a true sense.

VKV-Hurda: Solo Dance Competition

Solo Dance Competition was held on 25th & 26th of June, 2021. There were 36 participants in the competition from classes III to VIII. There were a wide variety of performances and all the students performed very well. Their colourful dresses represent different states and culture of India and they showcased their talent in very beautiful manner. Through this programme they learnt integrated art form of dance. Folk Dances of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Kashmir and Haryana were performed by students.

The competition was really good and successfully conducted by school management.

VKV-Hurda: Summer Camp

The Summer Camp 2020-2021 was organized in form of virtual classes, which began from 4th May and culminated on 14th May, 2021. Fun-filled activities for the anxious children during the pandemic, was a delightful treat. It gave them an opportunity to learn new skills, while being in self environment of their homes. More than 300 students enthusiastically participated from class third to twelfth in different activities.

The Summer Camp aimed at keeping the students engaged and provided them an even platform to explore and express their creativity, in any form. They not only had fun but they were able to face their fears, try new things, pushed their boundaries and realize self sufficiency.

The Camp provided some hands on experiences in the following areas:

  • Music Workshop
  • Yoga Workshop
  • Science Workshop

The learners zealously participated and showcased their diligence towards each planned activity of their choice. The essence of this camp was to develop a sound character of each student. This summer camp was earnestly appreciated not only by the participants but also by their parents. The overwhelming acknowledgement through their reviews and feedbacks was a motivating factor for the entire school.
