HEG: Fire & Safety Training

The Training was conducted in all the departments of HEG on 6th April 2021. Fire safety training can teach workers how to recognize fire hazards, conduct a fire safety risk assessment, prevent a workplace fire, and respond if a fire occurs. Training involves methodologies, classification & causes and control mechanisms to prevent fire. Generally In HEG it’s an ongoing training activity which is organized time to time as and when required.

 

HEG: Code of Conduct

The session was taken by Mr. Arun K Pati, The motive was to help employees to understand what the organization's Mission, Values and Code of Conduct are - and the important role they play in defining 'who you are' as an organization. Its one of the clear way to encourage proper ethical behavior. The most common sections to include in a code of conduct are: workplace behavior, unbiased and unprejudiced work environment and disciplinary actions.

HEG: E- Pro Training

The training on E-Pro was organized in commercial department on 7th April 2021. E-pro is a module in ERP software stats for electronic procurement. The process covers everything from indent till final order. The purpose of this training is to provide information to commercial team to do their day to day work.

HEG: POSH Training

Posh Training is an ongoing important activity to create awareness and to ensure the good working condition in the organization. We should always promote awareness on the gender equality in organization and state that we have no tolerance policy against Sexual Harassment.

Maral-Noida: Session on Email Etiquette

To upgrade on emails ethics and communication, an awareness program on “Email Etiquette” has been imparted by Mr. Kamal Rajput (Group Head-HR & Admin, Garment Division, Noida) to users on 9th June, 2021.

Maral-Noida: Awareness on Organizational Behaviour

To create a Healthy Work Environment at work floor, we have conducted an awareness training session for all of our staff on Organizational Behaviour dated 9th June 2021 at our Noida unit.

Maral-Noida: ICC (POSH) & Work Committee Meetings

To provide a safe and healthy work environment to our Women employees inside our factory premises, we have conducted an awareness training program on 19th June 2021 through Mrs. Jyoti Singhal (External Advocate).

Maral-Noida: Session on Strengthening Supervisory Skills

Training on Supervisory Skills is important activity to create awareness and to ensure the healthy working environment in the organization. Mr. Mrityunjay Choudhary (Dy. Manager - EHS, Compliance and Admin) imparted the training to staff on 22nd & 24th June 2021.

Maral-Noida: Fire & Safety Training

In continuation of creating employees’ awarness on Fire & Safety, we have conducted a training program on Fire & Safety on 25th June, 2021 at Unit-4 and it was briefed by Mr. Mrityunjay Choudhary (Dy. Manager - EHS, Compliance & Admin).

Maral-Noida: Mock Drill Session

A Mock Drill was conducted to check the preparedness planning, responses and effectiveness of the emergency response plan. Before it's execution, a meeting was also conducted with HODs / Section In-charges to discuss the roles and responsibilities during earthquake too. The Drill was conducted effectively.

Maral Noida: Annual Certification Audit

An Annual Certification Audit was conducted by Control Union in May, 2021 and it was successfully completed with the able support of all HODs and their respective teams.

Mandpam: Training Programme on Fire Fighting & Fire Hydrant System Use

A training programme on Fire Safety & Use of Fire Hydrant System was organized at Mandpam Unit on 28th June 2021. The objective of this programme was to create awareness for use of fire hydrant systems at the time of fire. Mr. Anil Bishnoi (Executive–Fire & Safety) was the faculty for this training programme.

Mandpam: Training Programme on New Fancy Yarn

A Technical lecture was taken by Mr. O P Samdani (Product Development Head) under the guidance of Mr. Ashwani Mittal (Dy. Business Head Melange Yarn) dated 16th June 2021. He gave brief information and SOP of all new fancy qualities and on how to maintain the consistency of shade and effect.

The technical teams of all four mill’s had attended and took benefit of this lecture. Application of the defined methods can prove to be very effective and fruitful in the coming future.

Lodha: External Fire Audit

On 22nd June 2021 an external auditor Shri Anurodh Prashant conducted the fire audit for RSWM Lodha unit. In the opening meeting, Shri Yogesh Dutt Tiwari (COO) welcomed him at HRD board Room and in the meeting Shri Prashant gave a brief about his experience and schedule of audit. During the audit, some observations were made and discussed it with core team members and an action plan was drafted to work on these observations.   

Lodha: SA 8000 Internal Auditor Training & Meeting

On 22nd June 2021 a training cum meeting held for internal auditor & SPT members of SA 8000:2014. During the program Shri D K Sharma explained last audit report observation, NCs, about the recent update and element of SA 8000. In this meeting, Shri Aditya Kumar Sharma was nominated as the new SMR for SA 8000:2014 for Lodha Unit. All the participants received updates and gained insights about the audit requirements and compliances.  

Lodha: Training on 5’s System

A training session & review meeting on 5S was conducted on 7th June 2021 at RSWM Lodha unit in presence of all zonal leaders and core team members. This training was given by Shri Satyendra Singh with the main objective of creating awareness about the use of 5S & its implementation in plant premises.

Before training of 5S, an Audit was conducted to review the implementation of 1S & 2S in our plant by our internal Auditor. They had given certain observations for further department wise improvement.

Lodha: Fire & Safety Training

A Safety awareness programme was conducted for new workmen in GPO Class, which was taken by Shri Satyendra Singh (Safety Officer). The topics covered in this session were Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Near Miss, Unsafe Act & Condition, Use of PPE etc. A live demo session of firefighting was also covered during the session. He educated all personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond in different emergency situations.

Kharigram: Online Training on Fire Fighting and Emergency Preparedness

On 27th April, 2021 a training programme was conducted on Fire Fighting and Emergency Preparedness”. Mr. Dileep Chourasia, Manager-Safety presented this training program consisting various methods of Fire Fighting, Use of PPE’s, Type of Fire Extinguishers and best practices to avoid any accident during working hours. During the program, safety videos and practical activities were included to make the session interactive. Total 32 staff members got benefited from this programme.

Kharigram: External Training Session on Managing Wealth

Financial Literacy is important because it equips us with the knowledge and skills we need to manage our wealth effectively. Having basic personal financial skills is one of the most important things, by which people can live a healthy, happy and secure life.

For this purpose, HR department conducted  learning session on "Managing Wealth" on 8th and 28th June, 2021 which was presented by external faculty - Mr Krishnan Iyer, Advisors Organization, Pune. During program various benefit were covered like Purpose for investing, financial goals, planning and discipline, Planning for important events, Calculating future value of education and retirement goals. Golden rule of SIP, Health Insurance, Term Plan & Tax planning tools. Risk mitigation, Where not to invest, Planning mistakes etc. Total 77 staff members got benefited from this programme in two sessions.

Kharigram: Surveillance Audit of SA 8000:2014 Certification

The Surveillance Audit of SA 8000 was carried out from 16th to 17th April, 2021 at Kharigram unit. This audit was to assess all processes & implementation of SA 8000:2014 system. Mr. Vivek Jha conducted the audit and finally recommended for continuation of the certification. In the closing meeting, Sh N.K. Bahedia, COO conveyed thanks to auditor and greeted to all the members for this achievement.

Kharigram: Awareness Session on Revised HR Policy

To update the many revisions of HR manual and ensure discipline & control the disparity in the employee attendance system, an online Training cum Awareness programme was organised by HR department on 8th May, 2021. Many topics were covered like Attendance Discipline/Issues, In-Out Duty hours, Online System, Correction System, Short Leave, Correction/OD/Leave processing etc. Total 56 staff members got benefited from this programme.

Kharigram: Training on Autoconer Operations

As a part of technical skill enhancement of staff members, a virtual training cum awareness session on Autoconer Operations was organised on 19th May, 2021. Shri S.K. Tiwari, Sr. GM (Technical) took this session for all technical officers. He covered topics like Functioning, Length, Technical faults and their remedies, Naps etc. During this session, participant were also came out at this platform about their queries, technical issues etc. which were addressed properly.

Kharigram: Learning Program on 5S System

A virtual learning cum training programme on 5S was conducted on 25th May, 2021. Sh Dileep Kumar Chourasia, Manager-Safety and Sh Vinod Kumar Puroit, Manager-CTSC explained about 5S management, its review system, audit system and involvement of Jagruti Members to manage workplace in a very practical manner. Total 33 Staff Officers benefited from this programme.

Kharigram: 5S Auditors Training Program

To streamline 5S management audit system, a group level auditors training program (virtual) was conducted on 18th June’21 at 3.30 pm. The 5S coordinator, facilitators and nominated auditors from all units were participated in this audit. Sh Vinod Purohit, Manager CTSC took this session and covered many aspects for Management Audit like Self Audit Schedule, Standard Practices, Management Audit Outcomes, Self Audit outcomes, Awareness Programs, Appreciations etc.

LNJ Denim: ISO 45001:2018 Training

A training session on ISO 45001:2018 was conducted on 20th April, 2021. The two & half hour training program was provided to the employees. It was given by Shri Devanand Shah and the main objective of this training was to create awareness about the new ISO 45001:2018’s requirement in the plant & how it would be implemented in plant. ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and illness, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance. Total 25 staff members had attended this important session.

LNJ Denim: Training on Brain Storming

Two training session were conducted on Brain Storming on 09th & 10th June, 2021 at LNJ Denim unit. The two- hour training session was provided to staff by Shri Arbind Mishra – Head (HR & IR) Dept. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about our Vision, Mission & self-role in achieving this. It was a good interaction and learning session to make them aware about our target, self-discipline in the plant, how to interact with workers etc. Total 50 staff members participated in the program with much enthusiasm.

LNJ Denim & Fabric: 5S Auditor Training & its Implementation

A training session & review meeting on 5S Auditors was conducted on 18th June, 2021 for both LNJ Denim & Fabric plant. The two hour virtual training program was provided to employees by Shri Vinod Purohit. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about the use of 5S & its implementation inside plant premises. In the session, major points were discussed like- No scrap should be dumped in Red Tag area, 5S register should be prepared as per given guideline, etc. The interaction session on 5S was really helpful. In total 25 staff members had attended the session.

BSL: Mock Drill on Emergency Preparedness & Response

BSL Safety Department has organized Rehearsal on Emergency Preparedness & Response (Mock Drill) on 5th May, 2021 at BSL IKEA Units (Weaving Unit-II & Processing Division, Unit-II).The objective of mock drill is to review the emergency preparedness plan of the organization and evaluate standard operating procedure, so that concerned persons would deliver their duties effectively while keeping in cognizance of life and property. Shri Ram Milan Singh (Manager-Safety) has informed all about of Mock Drill Rehearsal importance.
