Letter from Editor-In-Chief

There has been a heart-warming response to Opinion and the forthcoming editions are eagerly looked forward to. I have received positive feedback on the new layout, design and presentation of the events, news and happenings. The aim of Opinion is to provide a forum for all the plant offices to talk and showcase the activities, achievements and events that have happened and the progress they have made in different work-related fields. The Newsletter features a distinguished editorial board, which brings together a team of highly experienced professionals together under one umbrella of LNJ Bhilwara Group.

After a detailed analysis of the annual report 2016-2017 and taking into account of all the prospective advantages in the coming future in terms of policy and reforms, the senior management firmly believes that the adoption of right strategies such as the one approved by the ministry of textile and apparel will help the company to be on a positive rise for a long time to come.

With Diwali, the festival of lights, we pledged to end all darkness within us and move unanimously towards the future which holds unprecedented avenues for us to capture. Also, the enthusiasm brought by Christmas should be channeled properly. This is the day we exchange gifts and while doing so, come closer and take pride to be a part of the LNJ Bhilwara family.

In textiles, the focus is shifting in favor of high-asset turn and technology-driven expansion. Yet any reform can be undertaken when the human resource is working to the best of the capabilities. For this, we try to ensure as many group activities as possible every year to increase the bonding among the staffs and get to know each other better. With New Year, we will have new reasons to celebrate and we will do so because we sincerely believe that building social relation is integral to the development of any workspace.

The plethora of initiatives introduced by the government to balance the increased imports and to boost exports will start yielding results very soon. Campaigns like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Invest India’ along with the FTP will create a level playing field with the foreign competitors. They bring along with themselves new employment opportunities and make the industry more dynamic. Also, soon we aim to hit an unprecedented level of exports which will make the Indian subcontinent a powerhouse in textiles and apparels. The better competition that the local textile industry will get from the global brands will help in fostering better processes. Various global markets with huge demands are left to be explored by the local industry and are an opportunity that we aim to cease. The socio-political atmosphere is conducive to development and we hope to capitalize on the same.

Wishing everyone the best,

Sudhir Sood
