VVV-Maral: Online Yoga Day Celebration
‘Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self, and through the self’.
Yoga embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.The international Yoga Day was celebrated with members of Vivekanand family performing various Yogasanas and sharing the video with students for their motivation to follow their teachers message of “A healthy mind stays in a healthy body’ and both of these are together possible with Yoga”. Students & parents joined the Live Yoga session with teachers and performed Yogasanas with enthusiasm and ease, pledging to make it a part of their routine.
VVV-Maral: Online Music Competition
Music binds our soul, hearts and emotions. Music is the best method of relaxation, it cheers the spirit and lightens the heart. In fact through singing, humans learn to express their feelings and ideas. To recognize the singing talent of the students & parents, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar organized an online open Music Competition (Instrumental and Vocal) with thumping participation. The Parents Ms. Tripti Gupta and Ms. Shalini Jain won 2nd and 3rd position in Vocal category of the competition.
VVV-Maral: "Impact of COVID-19 on Parenting" Workshop
With a view to provide an insight into the influence of COVID-19, VVV organized a webinar on “Impact of COVID-19 on Parenting” to spread positive vibes among the parents. The talk ended with the key note of importance of co-ordination between School and Parents to promote Online Education as better alternative for aligning the children with the main stream of education.
VVV-Maral: Online Dance Competition
Dance allows you to express a wide variety of emotions. The way you dance can express happiness, excitement, and passion but also aggression and anger like Natraj. What is so wonderful about dancing is that it helps you to relieve stress and to fully center yourself in the present moment. The following inspirational dance quotes celebrate the joy of dancing and get you excited for this beautiful way of expressing yourself. To bring out the dancing talent of the students & parents, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar organized an online open Dance Competition. Students submitted enthralling entries in video form and gave a tough time to judges. Yathartha Kushwaha and Trisha Atre showed exemplary performance and won accolades.
VVV-Maral: Online Rakshabandhan Celebration
Rakshabandhan is a festival of celebrating the bonding and love of brother-sister. The feelings get deep-seated when the Rakhi thread and gift is handmade and offered. Vivekians celebrated unqiue online Rakhi festival this year with handmade cards and gifts learnt in the online workshop with Art teacher.
VVV-Maral: Online Investiture Ceremony
Vivekanand Vidya Vihar invests the responsibility and authority in students to involve them in school functioning and make them learn civic leadership. School council appointed and elected, following a dual procedure was invested the oath on digital platform this year because of pandemic limitations. The Students, Council & House teacher-incharges took the vow to take up the school glory to greater heights.
VVV-Maral: Independence Day Celebration
Flag hoisting ceremony was conducted on 15th August 2020, in the Chief Guest presence of Sh S.N. Goyal, Chairman SMC (President Maral Overseas Limited). SMC members and school teachers with staff attended the ceremony following COVID safety norms. With the combination of passion and patriotism evolved a prized performance by Jaivica and Yatharth Kushwaha who presented their dance through digital mode, on this Independence Day.
VVV-Maral: Eco Friendly Ganesh
Art is a form of passion and perseverance. When the art engraves deities themselves, then it becomes more enlightened. The students of Vivekananda Vidya Vihar incorporated spiritual consciousness into their creation power by making eco-friendly Ganesha statues on this Ganeshotsava.
VVV-Maral: Online Inter House Patriotic Song Competition
Vivekanand Vidya Vihar conducted an online Inter House Patriotic Song Competition. All the participants performed very well with patriotic fervor. Mast. Aradhya Gupta (1st position), Miss Kyara Gupta (2nd Position), Miss Jagrati Patel (3rd Position) won the positions for their respective houses. During this competition, we recognised an amazing talent in the singing of Drona Jha of class V who got the special recognition certificate.
VVV-Maral: Teacher Day Celebration
This year on Teachers Day, Maral school shared the glory of educators with parents "the first teacher of the child". All the teachers saluted parents for their cooperation in teaching and educating our students. A song, written by our art teacher Mr. Piyush Sharma and composed by our music teacher Mr.Vishal Kochale, sung by our student Tanya Badole which was dedicated to Parents- the esteemed partners!
VVV-Maral: Hindi Diwas Samaroh
As per every year this year also Hindi Day was celebrated in school with enthusiasm and dignity. Keeping in mind the challenging times, online competitions were organized this year. Poetry lessons for junior students and quiz based on Hindi language and literature for senior students were organized. In both the competitions, the contestants from all the three houses of the school participated enthusiastically. All the competitions were successfully completed.
VVV-Maral: Teacher Training and Interactive Sessions
In an effort to make the teaching faculty tuned with digital functioning and gaining online classes mastery, various training and interactive sessions were organized for LNJ Group of schools. VVV Maral teachers, Mr Arvind Soni- Sr TGT Math, Mr Sawan Jaiswal- Sr TGT Science, Mr Rohit Gupta- PGT Math, Mr Rajkumar Shah- PGT Physics, Mr Harish Jassani IT Coordinator, conducted exemplary demo sessions for Interactive Zoom sessions, 5 E Lesson Plans, Activity based teaching learning etc.
VKV-Rishabhdev: Independence Day Celebration
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev (Udaipur) celebrated 74th Independence Day with great enthusiasm virtually. On this occasion online poem recitation, drawing competition, dance drills and other activities were organised to keep students stay connected and celebrate the occasion.
VKV-Rishabhdev: Janmashtami Celebration
On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, students of up to Vth std. were beautifully dressed up as Krishna and Radha. The Students were asked to prepare crown, and decorate dahi-handi, flute etc. The students actively participated on this occasion and were looking fabulous in Krishna & Radha costumes.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Raksha-Bandhan Celebration
Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond this festival of Raksha-Bandhan was celebrated with great zeal and fun. To hone the cooking skills, students made food menu/dessert and divided the work between their siblings. Students took keen interest and share the pictures with the class teacher.
VKV-Rishabhdev: Ganesh Chaturthi
Among all the festivals, Ganesh Chaturthi is the most colourful one. It is celebrated with much fervour and joy. Students celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi virtually and they enjoyed the day with their families by chanting hymns and participated in art & craft activity. Students showcased their art work through various Ganesha paintings.
VKV-Rishabhdev: Hindi Diwas Celebration
The Hindi week was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, from 14th to 21st Sept'20. Hindi teachers were honoured on this occasion by Principal Mr. D.K. Gupta. On the occasion of Hindi week, Telegraphy competition, Poem recitation competition, Debate competition, etc. were organized. Maximum students of the school participated in these competition and all of these competitions were conducted through zoom app.
VKV-Rishabhdev: Screening of Movie “Indradhanura Chhai”
On the screening day, 8 teachers and 92 students participated in this program. It was an Oriya Language national awards winning film by Susant Mishra, the only featured (with Un Certain Regard) in Cannes film festival in 1995. Last few decades have seen rapid urbanization in many parts of India. Set in a small town in Odisha, the story highlights through the lives, conflicts and interactions of three women from three different generations, that development has mixed consequences on the traditions, cultures, societies and families. It is a meditative, musical saga of the changing times and of the wavering perceptions of human nature and relationships.
The main objective behind this was to promote the importance of Family and Societal life. In the opening ceremony, one of our student Miss Mansi Pandya of Class XI got chance to introduce Mr. Susant Mishra (Director) of this programme.
The screening was followed by an interactive session with Mr. Susant Mishra (Director), Mr. Jugala Debata (Producer) and Mr. Devdas Chhotray (Screenplay writer) of the film. The Principal of VKV, Rishabhdev Mr. D.K. Gupta gave vote of thanks to all the guests and SPIC-MACAY on this occasion.
VKV-Hurda: Make & Learn Workshop - IIT Initiative
On July 6, 2020 an online science workshop “Make and Learn” was conducted for the students of LNJ Group of Schools. It was a privilege to attend the program presented by eminent Prof. B.R. Mehtaji, Dean – Research IIT Delhi. Forty students along with the science teachers and school Principal attended the workshop.
Make and learn - Interactive session (2nd Round) was conducted on September 22, 2020. Twenty seven students from our four LNJ Group schools participated in the workshop and learnt the concepts shared by eminent Professor, Dean Research Sri B.R. Mehta from IIT Delhi. Students of VKV Hurda showcased their Science models and demonstrated the working and concepts involved in the projects. Prof. Mehta guided and motivated them by giving suggestions, as how to make these models more effective. He appreciated the efforts of the students.Four students of VKV – Hurda Divya Agarwal, Prayansh Bhardwaj, Kartikey Agarwal and Vinay Lunawat shared their videos. One of our students Divya Agarwal of Class IX was felicitated by Prof. Mehtaji and Smt. Shashi Ma’am for her performance. Below is the link of video:-

VKV-Hurda: Online Painting Competition
A Painting Competition was conducted by the CBSE Board for classes VI to VIII on the topic “Gandgi Mukt Bharat” to commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi. Forty five students of VKV – Hurda from classes VI to VIII participated in this competition. The students creatively painted their perceptions on the paper. One of the best work of Tanishq Biswas from Class VIII was selected by our department and was forwarded to the CBSE.
VKV-Hurda: Solo Song Competition
A Solo Song Competition was conducted on August 13, 2020 to celebrate the Independence Day eve. Eighteen students of classes III to VIII participated in this competition along with their parents and sang patriotic songs with full enthusiasm and fervor.
VKV-Hurda: Independence Day Celebration
On August 15, 2020 Independence Day was celebrated with much fervor and enthusiasm at Hurda School. On the occasion, the Chief Guest delivered the speech. School teachers attended the flag hoisting ceremony with proud and followed all COVID-19 essential protocols.
VKV-Hurda: Hindi Debate Competition
On August 21, 2020 a Hindi Debate competition was organized for students of classes IX to XII standard. The topic of the competition was “Traditional Teaching v/s Online Teaching”. All the students were really excited to share their thoughts and suggestions on the chosen topic.
VKV-Hurda: Interaction with SPIC-MACAY Artist
The students of our LNJ Group schools interacted with renowned Spic-Macay Kathak Dancer Ms. Leena Malakar on September 22, 2020. She not only answered their queries related to Kathak but also given detailed information to them on how to work hard and remain poised and focused while achieving their goals.
VKV-Hurda: Online Sports Training by Sri Aurobindo Ashram
An Online Sports Training was organized by Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi from 21-26 September, 2020 which was attended by five of our primary teachers of the school. These teachers conducted online fun games with the students residing in the colony and explained the importance of healthy habits.
The Graphite School: Academic Activities
Keeping pace with the requirements of the new educational environment, post Covid-19, our teachers and students have also shifted to better means and modes of teaching and learning. At Graphite school we are imparting virtual education on software’s like Zoom and Microsoft teams, hence increasing the level of understanding and analysing skills of the students. For engaging students focus is shifted on Art integrated learning activities. Art integration in learning has provided the key to unlock creativity, out of box thinking of students during lockdown period.
To focus on more practice based and activity based learning in mathematics, science and in other subjects art was integrated by making students to actively get engaged in some activities like making power-point presentation on some topics related to subject, virtual tours of Industries and specific places of worship, Garden etc. was also incorporated as a part of learning.
The Graphite School: Sanskrit Saptah Celebration
Sanskrit Saptah was celebrated in school through various online activities. Students got an opportunity to exhibit their talent in Sukti-Lekhan, Geeta recitation. To make the students aware about various career opportunities in the field of Sanskrit language and also to inform them about institutions offering higher education in Sanskrit language one webinar was organized. Chief guest of the session was Dr. Arun Sharma, Block Coordinator, Dept, of Sanskrit, Sanskrit Bharati Madhya Pradesh & speaker of the day was Dr. Vishwa bandhu, Professor, Sanchi Buddh Vishwavidyalaya. The programme was presided by Principal Dr. Vinita Mishra and all the aspirants of Sanskrit language had attended the session.
On this occasion, an online competition was also conducted by Ratna Sagar Publication house based on the same. Our students brought laurels in this competition and were felicitated with certificates of excellence.
The Graphite School: Hindi Pakhwada
On 14th September 2020, a fifteen days long event was initiated by Hindi literary club of school, as Hindi Pakhwada. On this occasion, students participated in Hindi Pakhwada activities online with much enthusiasm.
The Graphite School: Tree Plantation & NCC Camp
At Graphite School, we have an affiliation of NCC, Air wing ½ JD troupe for students. A special drive of tree plantation was done on Hariyali Mahotsav. On this day, Fit India campaign was also driven by NCC cadets virtually under the guidance of Mr. Nirmal Yadav, PET & NCC care taker at school.
The Graphite School: Students Training Session
At The Graphite School, we have been making wholehearted efforts to equip our students with the skills and talents required to face the new challenges in the economic & social life, post Covid-19 pandemic. To make students understand and be ready, various webinars and training sessions were conducted for students. The Carrier Counseling Session was organized by Ashoka University. Secondly, a webinar on SSB Super tips for joining Army, Navy and Air force after10+2 was organised by the Amity University.
Our students of std. 9th to 12th attended all the sessions of workshop on various topics of science which is being conducted by Joy of Learning Foundation which was about experiential learnings. The Hands on workshop “Work and Energy” was sponsored by the National Council of Science and Technology Communication for students. A webinar on topic (Career Prospects and Possibilities in Indian Information Services) conducted by the department of English Shree Narayan College, Varkala in association with Press Information Bureau and IQAC.
The Graphite School: Co-Curricular Activities
Celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. These celebrations helps familiarise the students with our country’s rich and diverse culture and tradition. Such celebrations not only help the students to identify themselves but also assist to improve their organisational, presentation, leadership and interpersonal communication skills. In spite of the problems due to Covid-19, the Graphitians have been active participants in celebrating various festivals and events in a creative and innovative ways.
The Graphite School: Doctors & Chartered Accountants Day
The Doctors & Chartered Day was celebrated in remembrance of legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. The day was celebrated to highlight the value, importance of doctors in our lives. Students were told about the responsibilities of doctors during this hard times. On this occasion, a webinar was also organized by School for teachers & students on 'Precautions to be taken during COVID-19 pandemic'.
The Graphite School: Guru Purnima Celebration
It is a tradition, dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Guru’s ready to share their wisdom, based on karma yoga. At Graphite, this day was celebrated in the new normal, by conducting poster making and dancing activities by our students. The videos of these activities were shared by students through online medium.
The Graphite School: Rakshabandhan Celebration
It is a festival that celebrates the love and bond between brothers and sisters across the country. In the new normal, due to lockdown it was difficult for any one to purchase rakhis and gifts this year. On this occasion, the Graphitians shared their videos of Rakhi Making and Family celebrations online with much fervor.
The Graphite School: Krishna Janmashtami
This year, online Krishna Janmashtami celebrations signified joyous, enthrallment, euphoria, enjoyment and excitement in the students of The Graphite School. The Students dressed up in colorful costumes of Radha and Krishna while carrying Matki and Flute were looking very beautiful and danced to the notes of the music. It was heartening to see their magical performance.
The Graphite School: Independence Day Celebration
In the new normal, due to Covid-19, this day was celebrated at Graphite with simplicity and keeping the government guidelines into account. Principal of the school Mrs. Vinita Mishra hoisted the National Flag in the presence of administrative staff which was shared with all others members through Whats App Group. The Principal’s message was also shared through video.
To make the children aware of the importance of Independence Day and to develop a sense of respect for the National Flag, the activity of Flag sketching was conducted for the students of Pre-Primary during their online classes on August 14, 2020. Conversation related to national symbols was taken up and children showed keen interest to know more about the topic.
On this occasion, Inter school solo patriotic song competition was organized by GVN School, Bhopal. Many of our students participated by sending their recorded videos and brought laurels for the school. All the winners received certificate of excellence. Among overall winners – Tanu Mathil of class XI secured III position.
The Graphite School: Teachers Day Celebration
Where the will there’s the way- this is proved by teachers of the schools. Teachers are the next level of COVID warriors, fighting for the nation and shaping the future of tomorrow. On the occasion of Teacher’s day on 5th September 2020, an online celebration was organized by the cultural committee of the school. Students and teachers enjoyed a lot with songs, music etc. Some important messages were also presented by the teachers & students. Apart from this, students have shared their well wishes to teachers through handmade greeting cards and interesting videos.
