Kharigram: Training Programme on Team Building

The HR department conducted a motivational workshop - “Team Building” at Kharigram on 27th Feb, 2020. Dr. Pankaj Shukla, Senior faculty, Being capable Organization took session, also different motivational games were played during this program. After this program the energy level of our Checkers, Senior Workers and Junior Staff was observed very high with good feedback. They were very much energetic and happy to attend this external programme. Total 55 participants benefited from this workshop.

Kharigram: Training on Quality Circle

HR department conducted a training programme on Quality Circle on 18th Janurary, 2020. Sh Vinod Purohit, Dy. Manager-CTSC facilitated this programme and explained about QC Tools, methods to implement the Quality Circle system in respective work areas. All HOD and Section heads were covered in this programme. During programme new QC projects were identified and concerned QC project heads were reviewed their team members for new projects also.

Kharigram: Group Level Training Programme - “Udaan”

With a view of developing & strengthing leaders through a special training programme “Project Udaan”, two days training session conducted at Kharigram on 27th - 28th January 2020. Mr. Rakesh Singh, Sr. Faculty of Door Consultant took the session and explained the various tools & methods for Giving and Taking Feedback at different level, Alternative Thinking, Change of Mindset etc. Total 50 participants from all group units were participated in this programme. In the conclusion session, the participants shared their experience and learnings in presence of Sh. BM Sharma-JMD, Sh. Prakash Maheshwari-CE-Corporate Affairs & Power, Sh. Manoj Sharma-President & CHRO, Sh. Rajeev Jain-Business Head (YB). All seniors appreciated this programme and conveyed congratulation to all participants for their learnings. The training programme concluded by delicious dinner hosted by the JMD. He greeted to all participants and given best wishes for their future endvaors.

Kharigram: Surveillance Audit of SA 8000:2014

The Surveillance Audit of SA 8000 was carried out from 24th to 25th January 2020 at Kharigram unit. This audit was to assess all processes & implementation of SA 8000:2014 system. A team of two members of BSI, headed by Mr. Pradeep Chuttani conducted the audit and finally recommended for continuation of the certification. In the closing meeting, Sh V.R. Joshi, COO conveyed thanks to all the auditors and greeted to all members for this achievement.

LNJ Denim: Marketing Meeting & Training Session

The year 2020 started with a Monthly Marketing training which was held at Mount Abu on 6th January, 2020 in which all marketing person & plant HODs of LNJ Denim participated. During the meeting, our JMD, Shri B.M. Sharma & CHRO Shri Manoj Sharma was also present & expressed their views on current textile scenario & boosted the morale of all team members of Denim Division.

Next day, a training session was organized on the topic of Communication. Mr. Anil Ambo who has given a wonderful presentation of effective communication, has asserted the couple of example for effective communication. The session received a good response from participants & they learnt a lot of new things in day to day communication. Total 36 employees had participated in it & enjoyed the session. The management also appreciated the program which was a good learning session for all the participants. This two day session has brought lot of confidence amongst employees & they all boost-up with energy.

LNJ Denim: Training on Quality Aspects of Spinning

A training session was conducted on 'Quality Related Aspects of Spinning' on 25th May, 2020. The training was given by Mrs. Priti Singh. It was a very effective training to think over the end user of our product. All Q&A team members had attended & got a very good learning exposure on quality aspects.

LNJ Denim: KAIZEN Session

"Kaizen" simply means "change for better", the word refers to improvement, that may be one-time or continuous, large or small, Kaizen is a practice of continuous improvement, involving the entire workforce from the Top Management to middle Managers and Workers. On 16th June, 2020 a session of Kaizen Training program conducted by Shri Mahadeo Sapkal – General Manager – Spinning. Total 28 staff members had attended the session. Today, Kaizen is recognized worldwide as an important pillar of an organization's long-term competitive strategy.

He started the session by asking question to the participants which made the session energetic, explained the 3Ms words; Muda, Mura & Muri very interestingly, The seven types of wastes (Over production, Waiting, Transportation, Inventory, Over processing, Motion, Defects & Information) had also been discussed & how one can get rid of it & make the industry from non-profitable to profitable. Throughout the session, everybody was enthusiastic to learn more things & understand Kaizen in a better manner. He explained how Japanese people work & how they had adopted this in their daily lives. The program received a good response and people thoroughly enjoyed it. 

Rishabhdev: Quarterly Performance Review

The power point presentation of the Performance review for the quarter October-December, 2019 was held in January, 2020 at Rishabhdev. The performance data of each department was presented by the HODs. In the concluding session, the COO advised that there is a need of reducing the operating cost wherever possible and also all HODs should focus on their area of operation by better planning, proper action plan and keeping proper records for daily, weekly and monthly review.  

Rishabhdev: Quality Life Workshop

A two day programme on Quality Life was held at Rishabhdev unit in January & February, 2020. Twenty workers each of various villages with their spouses and participated in the workshop. Shri K S Yadav, Regional Director & Shri Punit Goutam from CBWE, Udaipur conducted the programme which ended with closing session  attended by the COO and senior officers of the unit.

Rishabhdev: Self Development Programme

'Speak what you know’ programme was held at Rishabhdev in January & February, 2020. The programme was attended by officers & staff members and encouraged the participants by giving feed back on the spot for further improvement in their presentation.  Thereafter an extempore speech on current affairs was held and many members from the audience put their point of view on the subject, which was liked by all. 

Rishabhdev: Workshop on 'Man Ki Shakti'

On 28th February, 2020 a one day workshop was held at Rishabhdev unit conducted by Dr. Pankaj Shukla from Being Capable Organization, Nagpur on the topic `Man Ki Shakti’. Checkers & Sr. workers of Engineering, SQC & Maintenance of approx. 40 in Nos. attended the workshop. The programme was found enjoyable and beneficial to the participants and the feedback received was good.

Rishabhdev: Training on Fire Safety & Fire Fighting Preparedness

An awareness cum training programme on Fire Safety & Fire Fighting Preparedness was organised on 18th January, 2020 which was presented by Shri Dileep Chourasia, Safety Officer. The staff of various departments like - Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Commercial and Production participated in this safety programme. During session, the topics covered were; Fire Fighting, Safety at Work Place, Chemical Handling, Tools Handling etc. The training went successful and staff learned that how to cope up in case of any fire related emergency.

Mandpam: Fire Safety Training

A training programme on Fire Safety was organized at Mandpam Unit on 05th March 2020. The main objective was to create awareness for use of fire hydrant systems at the time of fire. Mr. Anil Bishnoi (Executive –Fire & Safety) was the faculty for this training programme

ADHPL: EQHS Management Review Committee Meeting

The first management review committee meeting of IMS for certification year 2019-20 was held on March 3rd, 2020 in the ground floor conference hall of Admin block at ADHPL. All section in-charges, who are the committee members & representatives and workers, were present in the meeting. During the meeting various issues related to implementation of IMS were discussed in detail.

ADHPL: First Aid Training of Employees

The First aid training was completed by 25 employees of ADHPL which were selected from different departments. The selected ones were sent to Govt. Referral Hospital, Manali for 15 days capsule of first aid training in different batches. All employees completed the training successfully and have been awarded with certificates of first aider from the hospital. The employees are now serving in different departments including remote sites which can serve the purpose in case of emergency situations.

ADHPL: Internal Audit of IMS Conducted

The 1st internal audit of IMS (ISO 9001: 2015, 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018) was conducted successfully through all departments including Transmission Line, from January 2nd to 6th, 2020 for the certification year 2019-20. The clause wise internal audit of integrated management system was carried out by the trained internal auditors from different departments as per the given schedule and time.
