VKV Hurda Organized Bird Watching Activity

he school organized a bird-watching trip to Anasagar Lake, Ajmer, for 45 students from Classes VII–IX. Focused on environmental awareness and experiential learning, students observed diverse species and documented their findings through creative artwork. The activity successfully fostered a deep appreciation for biodiversity and a lasting love for nature.

VKV Hurda Celebrated Great Spiritual Ideals

VKV Hurda celebrated National Youth Day and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Jayanti with devotion and enthusiasm. The programmes included prayer, speeches, devotional activities, and student competitions that inspired students to follow the values of strength, discipline, harmony, selfless service, truth, and compassion taught by Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

VKV Hurda Organized Dome Planetarium Programme

On February 5, 2026, the school organised “Dome Planetarium: A Journey Through Space” for students of Classes I to VIII under the Astronomy and Space Club. The programme provided engaging insights into the Milky Way, planets, seasons, eclipses, satellites, and space exploration. It created enthusiasm for science and enriched students’ learning through an interactive experience.

Grandparents’ Day was celebrated on February 7, 2026, with great enthusiasm. The programme featured lamp lighting, devotional performances, cultural dances, and fun games for grandparents. Students mesmerized the audience with colourful performances, while grandparents participated enthusiastically in various activities. The event highlighted the importance of grandparents and their invaluable role in the family.

VKV Hurda Conducted Faculty Contribution in CBSE CPD Workshop

The PGT English teacher represented the institution as a Resource Person and conducted a CBSE CPD workshop at St. Paul's Senior Secondary School, Ajmer on March 28, 2026 on the topic “Mental Health and Wellness among Students.” The workshop reflected the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

VKV Hurda VKV Students Shine in Academic Events

Students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda, participated in a Model United Nations (MUN) session organised at Pragya International School, Bijainagar, on 8th February 2026 under the committees,  UNCRPD, UNHRC, and UNFCCC. The session enhanced students’ leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. Further, eight VKV students qualified for the second round of CBSE Prerna Utsav held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hurda, in Art, Essay Writing, and Drawing competitions, showcasing their creativity and talent.

GHHS Honoured for National Sporting Excellence

Graphite Higher Secondary School takes immense pride in the recognition of its students for their achievements and participation in national-level games. On January 24, 2026, the students were honoured by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, for their commendable performances.

The students showcased their talent across various sports, including Kho-Kho, Karate, and Athletics, reflecting versatility and dedication. A special highlight of the occasion was the honouring of the Under-14 Boys Kho-Kho team, who emerged victorious and secured the First Position in the CBSE Cluster Tournament.

GHHS Displayed Stellar Show at the 24th WKTSF State Championship

The School displayed exceptional strength, discipline, and sporting excellence at the 24th WKTSF State Karate Championship, Madhya Pradesh, held on January 10–11, 2026, at Shri Aurobindo School, Bhopal. A team of 25 students represented the school with remarkable enthusiasm, confidence, and determination, competing against some of the finest talents from across the state.

The students delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive 35 medals13 Gold, 9 Silver, and 13 Bronze—across both Kata and Kumite events. Their success is a reflection of rigorous training, focus, and unwavering perseverance. Adding to this remarkable achievement, the school was proudly honoured with the Best School Trophy, recognizing its overall excellence in the championship.

GHHS Triumphs at Asmita Khelo India Pencak Silat West Zone Championship

Graphite Higher Secondary School added another feather to its cap at the Asmita Khelo India Pencak Silat West Zone Championship, held in Daman, Gujarat, from February 22 to 27, 2026. Ten students from Classes V to VIII represented the school with exceptional determination and skill.

Their remarkable performance earned 5 medals along with a total cash prize of ₹36,000. Gold medalists—Kanishka Lodhi, Netra Thakkar, Aarti Neol, and Anshulika Lodhi—each secured ₹8,000, while Liyanshi Junghare won a Bronze medal with ₹4,000. This achievement reflects discipline, dedication, and sporting excellence.

GHHS Celebrated Heritage - Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha

Graphite Higher Secondary School conducted the Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha, with enthusiastic participation from 180 students. The initiative aimed to promote awareness of Indian culture, human values, and national development, while encouraging students to remain focused on their life goals.

At the school level, Tanvi Singh (Class VIII) secured the First Position, followed by Devansh Mishra (Class VII) in Second, and Ashmit Sahu (Class VIII) in Third Place. Certificates were awarded to all participants in March 2026. The event fostered cultural pride and reinforced value-based learning.

On January 31, 2026, Graphite Higher Secondary School marked a significant step towards scientific learning with the inauguration of a Dobsonian Telescope, generously gifted by the Aryabhata Foundation. The telescope was formally inaugurated by Mr. Manish Gulati, President, SMC, making the occasion truly special.

The proceedings were inaugurated through a meditative invocation and a ceremonial lamp-lighting, symbolically representing the transcendence of enlightenment over ignorance. The day’s itinerary seamlessly integrated theatrical narrative with physical dynamism, featuring a poignant skit on Swamiji’s philosophical evolution and an energetic Clap Yoga performance that epitomized psychomotor synergy and mental fortitude. A compelling keynote address by Ms. Sapna Sarkar served as a catalyst for introspection, urging the youth to internalize the virtues of national unity and spiritual growth. The celebration culminated in a series of collaborative workshops, including value-based craftsmanship and competitive quizzes, effectively anchoring Swamiji’s enduring legacy within the student consciousness.

VKV Rishabhdev Conducted National Road Safety Mission

The school successfully conducted the National Road Safety Mission for Schools for students of Classes IV to X, with active participation from 427 students. The programme aimed to create awareness about traffic rules, road discipline, and responsible behaviour on roads. Students successfully completed the National Road Safety Online Module, gaining knowledge about traffic signs, pedestrian safety, and the importance of helmets and seat belts. A special morning assembly was also organized, featuring an informative address by the Chief Security Officer of RSWM Limited on road safety and accident prevention. An awareness video, interactive quiz, and the National Road Safety Pledge further enhanced student engagement. Principal Dr. Padmini Naidu motivated students to adopt safe practices in daily life. The programme was effectively coordinated by Mr. Bharat Kumar and Mr. Sachin Choubisa under the guidance of the Principal, making the initiative a meaningful step towards developing responsible and safety-conscious future citizens.

VKV Rishabhdev Joined Hands in Joy of Giving

On February 25, 2026, the school organized a meaningful activity under SDG Goal 1 – No Poverty. The school conducted a donation drive with the active participation of students. Students generously contributed essential items such as stationery, clothes, shoes, and biscuits for underprivileged children. The collected materials were distributed to needy children in Rishabhdev.

The activity aimed to create awareness among students about poverty and to develop a sense of compassion, responsibility, and social service. The program was successful in spreading the message of kindness and support towards the weaker sections of society. Overall, the activity was inspiring and helped students understand the true value of sharing and caring.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya celebrated Ramakrishna Paramhansa Jayanti on 19th February with great devotion and enthusiasm in the presence of Swami Pradiptanand Ji and members of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Samiti. Students presented skits, dances, models, posters, and charts depicting the life and teachings of Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The creative presentations by students reflected a deep understanding of Indian culture, spirituality, and moral values. The programme beautifully conveyed the message of truth, selfless service, discipline, and spiritual values, inspiring students to become responsible and value-based citizens.

VKV Rishabhdev Organized Cleanliness Drive

The school organized a one-day Cleanliness Drive on February 25, 2026, under SDG Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. Students visited Pagaliya Ji Garden and actively participated in cleaning the surrounding area by collecting plastic waste and dry leaves. They also spread awareness among visitors about the importance of cleanliness and protecting public spaces. Teachers guided students throughout the activity and explained how maintaining clean surroundings contributes to healthier and more sustainable communities. The programme successfully encouraged social responsibility, environmental awareness, and active community participation among students.

VKV Rishabhdev Conducted Activities on Exploring and Protecting Biodiversity

An SDG 15 – Life on Land Nature Walk activity was successfully conducted for the students of Class 8A at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya under the guidance of R.S. Parihar and Bharat Kumar. The activity aimed to create awareness about the importance of plants, trees, and biodiversity while developing environmental responsibility among students. During the nature walk in the school campus, students observed different plant species and learned their common names, scientific names, and places of origin. The plants studied included Silk Cotton Tree (Bombax ceiba), Yellow Elder (Tecoma stans), Madagascar Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus), and Snake Plant (Dracaena trifasciata). Students also discussed the role of plants in providing oxygen, food, medicine, and maintaining ecological balance.

The activity enhanced students’ observation, research, and writing skills while encouraging respect and care for nature, successfully supporting the objectives of SDG 15 – Life on Land.

VKV Rishabhdev's Achievemnt in International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament

One of the brightest stars of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, Master Mohak Harmor of Grade 10, has secured 2nd position, winning a ₹2000 cash prize along with a trophy in the VKV School category at the International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament, organized by the LNJ Bhilwara Group of schools (Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda)
