ADHPL: Online Training on Risk & Opportunities

A refresher online training session on Risk & Opportunities as per ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 was conducted to make the IMS system more effective. The training was imparted by lead auditor Mr. Ajay Kumar from the Certifying Agency OFS.

All the trained internal auditors and HOD’s of different departments from ADHPL, TL, MPCL and corporate HSE attended the training session through zoom application.

ADHPL: HSE Review

A HSE review visit was performed by Mr. Sudhir Naithani (Sr. Manager HSES - StatKraft,) and Mr. Neeraj Bhargava (HSE - Manager, Corporate office). The visit was performed from 13^th to 16^th August, 2021 and as part of the visit, HSE management system implementation review alongwith interaction with management, other site personnel was also performed.

ADHPL: Mandatory Inspection of AD 192 MW HEP

An inspection of A.D. Hydro Power Ltd. was conducted by the Directorate of Energy Shimla (A State Government Agency) from 4^th to 8^th July, 2021. As part of government policy, the mandatory inspection was conducted on completion of 10 years of ADHEP operation. During five days of inspection, all the components were inspected in detail by the visiting team. The team reviewed the records and also had interaction with HODs, technicians and other employees.

 After the inspection, they appreciated the efforts of the company for maintaining the project in great shape and also appreciated the safety related measures of the project.

ADHPL: Tire-II Mock Drill at Power House

EHS&S department conducted a Tier - II mock drill on 30 July, 2021 involving all departments of ADHPL to test its emergency preparedness & response planning, the effectiveness of existing communication system and skills of firefighting & rescue team of ADHPL.

The scenario for the mock drill was of transformer explosion at Unit 1, Y-phase transformer in which a staff member who had gone there for taking reading gets trapped and falls unconscious. All the departments participated in mock drill and helped in rescue operations simultaneously.

ADHPL: Training on Community Based Disaster Risk Management

Two persons from ADHPL participated in the online training organized by the District Disaster Management Authority, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with the National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs (GoI) on the topic “Community Based Disaster Risk Management” on 17^th September 2021. The aim of the training was to sensitize officials of the District Administration, NGOs, CBOs, HEPs and local Community about disasters, its management, its associated issues & measures to mitigate and respond to these disasters.

ADHPL: 3rd Internal Audit of IMS

The 3^rd internal audit of IMS (ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018) for certification year 2020-21 was conducted successfully from 25^th to 28^th August, 2021. The clause wise internal audit of integrated management system was carried out by the trained internal auditors from different departments as per the given schedule and time.

ADHPL: 2nd Surveillance of IMS Completed

The 2^ndsurveillance audit of Integrated Management System (EMS, QMS & OHSMS) was completed successfully on 18^th September, 2021. The audit was conducted at site by the auditor from the certifying agency. During the audit, auditor inspected all the relevant documents pertaining to IMS. Site visit and interaction with different department in-charges and employees of ADHPL was also done to assess the implementation status of Management Systems (ISO 9001; 2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001: 2018) at the project.  

After completion of audit the lead auditor from the certifying agency recommended ADHPL for the continuation of IMS certification for another one year.

MPCL: Mock Drill on Earthquake & Fire

District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kullu conducted a mock drill on September 03, 2021 at MPCL Power House building. The scenario of the mock drill was finalized by district administration (SDM (C), Kullu), NDRF, Himachal Home Guards (HHG) experts, in consultation with MPCL management. The mock drill was conducted successfully.

MPCL: IMS Re-certification Audit

Re-certification audit of integrated management system was completed successfully. The audit was held on 16^th & 17^th September, 2021. The audit was carried out by the lead auditor of certifying agency QFS. The entire plant was audited including top management and MR. MPCL is now ISO 14001:2015 & OHSAS 45001:2018 and ISO 9001: 2015 certified power plant.

HEG: ERP Training

In the month of July 2021, the training on ERP was conducted for employees. “ERP” refers to a type of software that organizations use to manage day-to-day business activities such as accounting, procurement, project management, risk management and compliance and supply chain operation. This session was taken by Mr. Amit Singh Baghel which was appreciated by all.

HEG: Session on POSH

The session on POSH is an ongoing activity which took place every month. The aim of this session is to aware everyone about POSH through which we can maintain a good environment for female employees and focused to have Zero tolerance policy towards sexual harassment.

HEG: Insider Trading/Code Of Conduct Session

Mr. Shamit Tiwari from HR Department took both the sessions, organizing such training in regular intervals is important for an organization because Insider Trading Session helps to prevent the illegal practices of trading on the stock exchange to one's own advantage having access to the confidential information.

Similarly Code of Conduct Session helps to set up principles characterizes how an organization's workers should follow up on an everyday premise. It mirrors the association's day by day tasks, beliefs and organization culture.

HEG: Environmental Legislation Industrial Obligation

This Session was taken by Mr. Ravindra Saxena. Keeping all the Covid protocols in mind, this session was held on zoom meeting application. It covered the information related to ISO Certification, Licensing, Industrial Parameter, Pollution Norms, Gas cylinder Norms etc.

HEG: Basic Hydraulics Training

This training was provided by External organization “CRISP”, and the faculty was Mr. Govind Sharma & Mr. Hemendra Jain.

Following topics were covered by the trainer:

• Basic hydraulic circuit and it's components
• Selection of pump and it's troubleshooting
• Types of hydraulic valve - Directional control valve, pressure control valve, Flow control valve
• Actuators detail
• Other than this some basic hydraulic circuit practical execution under guidance of crisp trainer     

HEG: Respiratory Protection

The training on Respiratory Protection was given by “3M Services”. This training is all about protection, prevention related to mask because millions of workers are required to wear respirators in various workplaces. Respirators protect workers against insufficient oxygen environments, harmful dusts, fogs, smokes, mists, gases, vapors, and sprays. These hazards may cause cancer, lung impairment, diseases, or death.

HEG: Lift Operation & Safety Awareness

Lift Operation & Safety Awareness training was given by M/S KONE LIFT in which faculty was Mr. Pawan. In this training, participant learned about lift operation including rescue, Mr.Pawan also shared each & every aspect related to lift and safety.

Ringas: Career Guidance at Vedanta P. G. Girls College

Vedanta P.G. Girls College, Ringas under Vedanta Foundation of Vedanta Group had conducted an Orientation Programme for the under Graduate classes on 20^th September, 2021. Mr. Avinash Bhargava, Chief Financial Officer of the Company addressed the more than 500 girls  about Women Empowerment & Planning of UG and PG classes as well as Competitive Exams.

Vedanta P.G. Girls College, Ringas invites RSWM’s Management Team for Upbringing the girls students on different subjects.  Earlier in 2019, a Workshop was also organised by them in which Mr. B. M. Sharma, Joint Managing Director of the Company was the main Speaker.Shri Avinash Bhargava, CFO was also a regular speaker there. Vedanta Foundation fulfils their NAAC requirement through this Educational Workshop & RSWM Limited takes it as CSR activity in rural area of Sikar District where it has one Spinning and Recycle Polyester Staple Fiber plant.   

Mr. Manoj Sharma, CHRO and Mr. Sukesh Sharma, Dy. BH (YB) had also addressed were also present and addressed the girls .Dr. Prashant Madan, Principal of the College gave vote of thanks to all RSWM dignitaries.

Ringas RPSF: Fire Drill Sessions

To spread the awareness among staff and workmen, 3 fire drill sessions were conducted on 25^th July, 25^th Aug. and 25^th Sept, 2021 on Dry Drilling and Wet Drilling. Shri Deepak Verma, Safety Officer of the plant conducted this drill and also explained about the process of safety techniques in an emergency situations.

Mandpam: Fire & Safety Training

A training programme on Fire & Safety was organized by the Mandpam unit on 4^th September, 2021. The main objective was to clarify the role of industrial safety and how it is important in day to day working. Shri Anil Kumar (Executive – Fire & Safety) was the faculty for this training programme.

Rishabhdev: Self Development Program

'Speak what you know' - a self development programme for staff was held at Rishabhdev on 7^th September, 2021. Four staff members from different departments spoke on various topics. All the speakers presented a very good performance and got appreciation of all. They got feed back/suggestions from seniors present during the programme on how to improve their speaking skills.

Thereafter an extempore speech on current affairs was also held during this programme.

Rishabhdev: Knowledge Enhancement Program

A technical session for knowledge enhancement of Spinning and Finishing staff was organized at Rishabhdev. Shri Gaurav Maheshwari, DGM (SQC) was the Faculty. He has taken a class and given training to the participants on 'how to improve our product quality on a sustainable basis'. Feed back from customers/market about quality of our products was also discussed for ensuring quality standard of our products to customers’ delight.

Kharigram: Awareness Session on Revised HR Policy

To update the many revisions of HR manual, ensure discipline and to control the disparity in the employee attendance system, an online training cum awareness programme was organised by HR department on 27^th July and 14^th August, 2021. Many topics were covered like Loan & Advance Policy, Mediclaim & Insurance, Employee Benefits, Online attendance and Correction system, Short Leave, Correction/OD/Leave processing etc. Total 56 staff members got benefited from this programme.

Kharigram: Training on ISO 45001:2015 Migration Process

A training programme was organised on “Migration from OHSAS to ISO 45001:2015" on 5th July’21 presented by M/s Q Systems. They explained about the process of migration, required documents, system of audit, new clauses of new system, conductance of Internal Audit of IS) 45001 to all concerned units (Kharigramm, Ringas, Lodha, Mandpam, Kanyakheri). All the participants and SPT members got updated & acquired the knowledge about audit requirements and compliances.

Kharigram: Fire Mock Drill

To check awareness and response of emergency response team, a Fire Drill was conducted on 28^th August, 2021 in worker hostel area. Firefighting awareness session was also done to aware all workmen about use of fire extinguisher, fire equipments and emergency equipments. Shri Dileep Chourasia, Manager-Safety conducted this drill and he explained about the process of safety in emergency situations and how to deal with injured person safely.

Kharigram: Training on " Accident-Cause, Effect & Prevention"

A training cum awareness programme on Accident-Cause, Effect & Prevention was organised on 11^th Sept, 2021 which was presented by Shri Dileep Chourasia, Manager- Safety. Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Commercial and Production departments were covered in this programme. The topics covered were - Fire Fighting, Evacuation Plan, Emergency Exit, Assemble method etc. He educated all the personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond upon in different emergency Situations.

Kharigram: Training on Work Permit

A virtual training cum awareness program was conducted on 17^th August, 2021. Shri Dileep Churasia, Manager-Safety took this session. Many topics were covered under this session like system of work permit, types of work permit, safety measures to be covered in work permit, awareness of work permit and safety parameters etc. All Production, Engineering, Civil and Stores departments were covered in this program.

Kharigram: Training on GRS System

A training cum awareness program was conducted on 10^th August, 2021 on the topic - Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification. Shri Manas Poddar, Sr. GM (QA) took this session and explained the various steps of this audit and preparation of all the documents. All concerned staff members got benefited from this session of various departments.

Kharigram: Training on Market Complaint, It's Nature, Types and Remedies

A training session was organised on "Market Complaint, it's nature, types and remedies" on 14^th September, 2021 at Kharigram. Shri P.N. Jha, General Manager, Post Spinning took this session. He explained various types of quality complaints, market response, corrective and preventive actions for complaints, Post Spinning process checks for reducing the complaints etc. Production, Quality and NPD staff officers were covered in this program.

LNJ Denim: Emergency Mock Drill

An emergency can occur any time and in any situation at any place. To create awareness about this in plant, we had conducted an emergency mock drill session on 12^th August, 2021 at 1:30 pm at our Denim spinning plant under the supervision of our Safety Officer. The fire was observed outside the spinning gate area at 01:30 pm.

An emergency was intentionally created in order to check the awareness among the staff members & workers, this was kept secret and only few seniors staff members were informed for the same. Immediately incident was enacted, responses from various people on duty were observed. Who saw it first? What was his first reaction? Who raised the emergency siren? How & when First aid was given to them, who came to assembly point? The aim behind this session was to find out the alertness of employees in any emergency cases. After this, on spot training was organised by our Safety Officer Mr. Devanand Shah and he had made aware about how to utilize the extinguisher, hydrant line and get protected from any worst situation.

Maral, Noida: Session on Team Leadership

To upgrade and strengthen the team building of our Staff, an awareness program on “Team Leadership” has been imparted by Mr. Kamal Rajput Group Head, HR & Admin (Garment Division) to all the HOD’s on 1^st July 2021.

Maral, Noida: Awareness on Health & Safety

To create a Healthy Work Environment at work floor, an awareness training session has been imparted by Ms. Pinki Sharma (Welfare Officer) to our employees on Organizational Health & Safety on 8^th July 2021. The training was appreciated by all the staff members.

To maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment at work floor, an awareness session on HIV AIDS related matters has been imparted by Ms. Pinki Sharma (Welfare Officer) to our employees on 8^th July, 2021.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on Ergonomics

At Maral, an awareness training session has been conducted on “Ergonomics’’ to improve  people's efficiency in their working environment on 15^th July 2021. The session was imparted by Ms. Pinki Sharma (Welfare Officer) to our employees. It was a very interactive session for all and everyone appreciated the training.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on Personal Hygiene

To create an awareness amongst our female employees on their Health, an awareness training session has been imparted on 15^th July 2021 by Ms. Pinki Sharma (Welfare Officer) to our female employees on “Personal Hygiene’’. The session was really appreciated by all the female staff.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session C-TPAT

To fulfil the customers C-TPAT audit requiring parameter/standards at our unit and to strengthen the security system, an training cum awareness session has been imparted by Ms. Pinki Sharma (Welfare Officer) to our employees on C-TPAT dated 16^th July 2021.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on Internal Complaint Committee

To create and provide a safe and healthy work place environment for female employees at our factory premises, an awareness cum training session has been imparted by Mrs. Jyoti Sinha (External Advocate) on 19^th July 2021 to our employees on “Internal Complaint Committee’’.

Maral, Noida: Health & Safety Committee Meeting

To create & provide a safer and healthy work place environment at factory premises for our employees, a Health and Safety Committee meeting has been conducted on 10^th July, 2021. It was a good interactive session for all the present staff members in the meeting.

Maral, Noida: Canteen Committee Meeting

To provide a healthy food to our employees at our C-126 unit, a Canteen Committee meeting has been conducted in presence of committee’s members on 19^th August, 2021.

Maral, Noida: Security Review Meeting

To fulfil the customers C-TPAT audit requiring parameter/standards at our unit and strengthen the security system, a meeting has been conducted on security review in presence of M/s Pro-Shield Security Solution's representatives on 20^th August, 2021.

Maral, Noida: Fire Mock Drill

A Fire Mock Drill was conducted through third party to check the preparedness planning, responses and effectiveness of the emergency response plan at A-11 unit. Before execution, a meeting was also conducted with HODs / Section In-charges to discuss the roles and responsibilities during earthquake too. The drill was conducted effectively and everyone understood the emergency steps which are required in case of fire incident occurs.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on BSCI COC

To fulfil the customers audit requiring parameter/standards at our C-126 unit, an awareness cum training session has been imparted on 4^th September, 2021 by Mr. Mrityunjay Choudhary (Dy. Manager-Compliance, EHS & Admin) to our employees on BSCI COC. 

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on Social & Labour Convergence Program

To educate and fulfil the customers audit requiring parameter/standards at all our Noida units, an awareness cum training session through zoom has been conducted on 25^th September, 2021 by a third party M/s INTERTEK to all our HR personnels at Noida units. It was an interactive and good learning session for all.

Maral, Noida: Awareness Session on Fire Safety

To create a safer & healthy work environment at work floor, an awareness training session has been imparted on 23^rd September, 2021 by an external agency to all our employees on Fire & Safety related topic. 

Maral Noida: Fire Mock Drill Training Program
