VKV- Rishabhdev: Fire Safety Training & Mock Drill

Fire Safety training was given to all the teachers, security guards, bus drivers, conductors etc. on 9th July, 21. The security officer Mr. M. S. Chundawat provided training to all the trainees. He taught many technical tricks to the about how to control the fire in an emergency situation and how to use fire extinguishers to control the fire.  He discussed about different types of fire extinguishers and their uses.  Everyone in a school needs to take part in regular fire drills, as it helps them to fully grasp the building’s escape routes and the instruction they must follow On this occasion Mock Drill was also conducted.   

VKV Rishabhdev: International Plastic Free Day

Plastic pollution is a global catastrophe and sadly it is a man-made one. Did you know that approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used on a global scale? This is having an extremely detrimental effect on the environment, wildlife and indeed human health. On 3rd July, 2021 VKV Rishabhdev organised a Poster/Drawing competition on International Plastic Bag Free Day.

The students from Grades I to XII participated in it. The members of Peace Club celebrated this day by distributing cloth bags in the city and informed the people about disadvantages of plastic bags. Plastic bags take up to 500 years to decompose. Students took a pledge to say no to plastic bags and contribute towards a plastic free world.

VKV- Rishabhdev: Global Cultural Jamboree

Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, for the first time in World Scouting history, the Sri Lanka Scout Association has made arrangements to conduct a Virtual Global Cultural Jamboree from July 16-18, 2021 with the participation of more than 100 National Scout Organizations and over 20,000 Scouts.

The Global Cultural Jamboree which was organized under the theme of “Culturally One Scout World” has made arrangements to showcase a wide range of diverse global cultural programmes for the benefit of Scout members, who are confined to homes due to the prevalent pandemic situation.

The International Cultural Jamboree organized by the Sri Lanka Scout Association was also graced by President Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa virtually.

The Chairperson of the World Scout Committee Craig Turpie was the Special Guest at the event, which was attended by the Heads of the World Scout Association, global leaders including scout commissioners from other countries. 

Nine scouts and two scout masters from VKV Rishabhdev participated in this international event representing The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Udaipur.  The main activities of this Cultural Jamboree were Cultural Shows, Talent Show, Campfire, Cooking Show, Cultural Chats with UN Volunteers, Reduce Plastic Pledge etc.

All the scouts received participation certificates.

VKV- Rishabhdev: Inter-School Chess Competition

To promote chess and to give exposure of online chess competition, VKV Rishabhdev organised inter-school chess competition on the occasion of International Chess Day on 20th July, 2021. This competition was organised in association with Chess Training Foundation. The students of all four schools of LNJ Bhilwara group participated. In this competition Sankalp Lodha (VKV Hurda) got First Position, Dhruvin Jain (VKV Rishabhdev) got Second Position, Alokik Maheshwari (VKV Hurda) got Third Position. The certificates were provided to all the winners.

VKV - Rishabhdev: International Inter-School Chess Tournament

Chess is played every day around the world and brings people of different cultures and backgrounds together. To motivate further VKV Rishabhdev organised International Inter-School Chess Tournament in association with Chess Training Foundation, Mumbai on 15th August, 2021. Around 151 players played the game from all over the world. 17 players from VKV Riashabhdev took part in this event and felt proud. Dhruvin Jain achieved 22nd Rank in this tournament with the motivation to improve further.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Global Scouts Kitchen Jamboree 2021

Global Scouts Kitchen Jamboree 2021 was organised from 6th August to 8th August, 2021 to help the Young people to explore more camp cooking methods, recipes, participate in cooking competitions, etc. from different scout region. 6 scouts & 6 Guides submitted recipes of different traditional Indian dishes. 5 recipes of our scouts and guides were selected at international level and they were live streamed during the Global Scouts Kitchen Jamboree organised by USA. All the parents were excited to see their ward presenting recipes live on international platform.

VVV Maral: Therapeutic Workshops on “Mandala” Art & “Music as Therapy”

COVID times have been stressful times for all of us. All the members of society are affected-emotionally and mentally. Mandala is a therapeutic art which focuses the mind & thoughts and helps in bringing balance and peace.

VVV Maral has taken up the theme of Mandala Art for students this year, after doing Worli folk art in 2019-20 and Pencil sketches and Watercolor themes in 2020-21. School has also conducted 2 workshops - one on Health and Mental awareness and another on Music as Therapy, for enabling its students, parents and teachers to soar through these difficult times and gain emotional balance.

VVV Maral: CBSE Board Class XII Results

VVV Maral classes and results continue to reflect commitment to full inclusion. We are pleased that we can support our high fliers as well as those whose success is measured by their hard work and steady improvement. It was not an easy feat achieving this, being in the middle of the pandemic and managing online studies, but with grit & resilience students did it. It is rewarding to observe the tremendous growth demonstrated by students who exceeded their own wildest dreams, even in the face of challenges they had to overcome, and we are particularly grateful for the mentors who never lost faith in them.

VVV Maral students performed so well and consistently in this difficult pandemic year adapting well to the changed mode of teaching-learning. Online studies required a lot of self discipline & focus and we are proud that our students showed up with great caliber & performance scores throughout the year. VVV Maral: Independence Day Celebration

We are blessed to have the right to speak and to be heard. A right, several brave souls fought for. We should remember their courage and fight.

Owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, the 75th Independence Day – witnessed ‘low-key’ affair, with fewer dignitaries in attendance: The Chairman SMC, Shri S N Goyal-President MOL, all School Management Committee members, staff members and core school council members with song and dance presenters. Enthusiastic students joined the programme on live zoom telecast and also shared their patriotic song & dance videos celebrating the national festival from homes, given to COVID safety protocols.

VVV Maral: Investiture Ceremony

A simple investiture ceremony was organised for core school council members with oath bestowed upon the students by the Chief guest on Independence Day, bestowing the leadership and investing the students with citizenship values. Graphite School: Art Integrated Learning

After more than a year of virtual classes and virtual interactions with students, during tough time of CORONA pandemic, the Graphite School family evolved with greater strength. From July 2021, Graphite school started physical classes also, for secondary & senior secondary students.

We received overwhelming response from parents & students. Art integrated learning got a new swing in physical classroom, where students got opportunities to perform live activities.

Graphite School: Spell-B Competition

Students learn about word roots and origin while training for a spelling bee. They search deeper into understanding the meaning and grammatical function of words. Spell Bee competitions encourage students to learn about the word components' usage, meaning, and history, such as affixes there are students who love to study languages. Spell bee gives them a chance to showcase their talent and at the same time a chance to learn from competition. The Graphite Higher Secondary School, conducted an inter-house online Spell-B Competition for VI to VIII classes on 9th July 2021.

The competition had three rounds. First round comprised of 15 words, second round included 5 words and the third round covered three crucial words. Total 82 students enthusiastically participated in the competition and exhibited their love for the language. The students were adjudged as the winners of the competition.

Graphite School: Idioms - The Gems of Wisdom-Muhavare Based Antakshari

Idioms are wise sayings, which teach us the Art of living life.

IDIOMS are culturally specific, yet their meaning has the universality; everyone can relate to them in some way and some level. There is an idiom for almost any situation. We may sometimes not understand a big lecture but we understand a small phrase very easily because the truth they speak can span the globe.

Having this as the crux, students of grade VI to VIII of Graphite Higher Secondary School were given the opportunity to explore themselves through ‘Hindi Muhavare Antakshari’ Activity on 3rd September 2021. Students identified the idioms based on the pictures, symbols and words and used them in their own sentences. The activity boosted the students’ linguistic moral.

Graphite School: Bhartasya Sanskriti Week Celebration

Sanskrit language week was celebrated to encourage students to connect with the ancient and scientific language. During this week long celebration various activities were conducted namely, Geeta Shloka chanting by students of  KG-II std. to 10th Std., it was a great moment when Pre-Primary and Primary class kids were confidently chanting the difficult hymns of Shrimad Geeta.

Also, career guidance session was also organized for students where they learnt about various national and international career options in field of Sanskrit language.

Most exciting segment of this celebration was the session taken up by Dr. Savita Dixit, Professor, Chemistry, MANIT, Bhopal.

She explained the rasayan vigyan from vedic prospects and also, showcased the various eminent example of inventions of Chemical, Physical, Mechanics, Medical field already given in Vedas and puranas, but remained unexplored due to extinction of Sanskrit knowing generation.

This entire session has revamped the quench of knowing and learning Sanskrit as one of the significant subject among the students.

Graphite School: Doctor's Day Celebration

Doctors have been fighting a long way from the frontlines against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, saving lives at the cost of their own. To pay a tribute to the selfless work done by doctors and to honour their dedication towards serving the humanity, Graphite Higher Secondary School observed National Doctors’ Day with inquisitiveness.

An interactive webinar on oral care was conducted for the students of class KG-II to IV and for their parents. Dr. T.N. Bishwas, BDS, MD have demonstrated the type of teeth and how to brush & maintain the cleanliness of teeth. 

Another session specifically for the students of Class VI to XII was organized by school. Students have attended the live webinar on the topic – ‘Corona Virus- Its prevention & treatments’. The guest speaker was Dr. Pragati Pathak, MBBS, MS Vindhya Hospital & Research Centre, Reva, M.P and the moderator was Principal Dr. Vinita Mishra. Dr.Pathak elucidated the causes, safety measures and the cure of the corona virus. She briefed about the structures, pathogenesis, symptoms, vaccination, isolation strategies and the various variants of the corona virus. The session satiated the corona concerning queries and proven very informative.

Graphite School: World Population Day

Too much of anything is not good for health, and the same applies to our planet Earth where population is concerned. Graphite higher secondary school observed ‘The world population day’ on 11th July 2021. The aim of this day is to create awareness about the exploding world population and the importance of reproductive health. To mark the occasion the school organized a digital poster making competition with the theme - “The world population day” for the students of class IX to XII. Students portrayed solicitous poster and registered their profound concern for the population explosion. The following students were adjudged as the winners of the ‘Digital Poster making competition.’

Graphite School: Chartered Accountant Day

On the occasion of CA Day, an online webinar was conducted by Commerce department on 11th July 2021, for the students of Class XI and XII at Graphite Hr. Sec School Mandideep in collaboration with Vikramaditya College Bhopal. The Speaker of the day was renowned CA Karan Pandey .He briefed the students about the introduction of the CA, CS, ICMA, CMA & ACCA fields, their levels Article ship and practical training. This session was followed by a questionnaire round, wherein the students resolved their queries. The session proved very advantageous to the commerce aspirants.

Graphite School: Career Counselling Session

A career counseling is the systematic process of analyzing the student’s strengths, interest, skills and abilities, and mapping it with the right career option and education. Everyone requires career guidance at some point in their lives. A professionally trained career counselor guides the student to find the most suitable career path. Keeping above thought process in mind Graphite School conducted an online Career Counseling session for CA/CS aspirants. It was organized on 4th July for the aspirants. The resource person were CS Arvind Tiwari (Chairman, ICSI, Bhopal Chapter) & CA Sakshi Singh (SHAPERS construction limited).

 

The objective of this session was to aware the students about how to prepare for CA & CS exams. All challenges associated with this profession were also discussed by the resource person. Students also reciprocated the queries they had.

Similar kind of session was organized for the Science stream students. The resource person was HOD, Science Dr. Amit Maheshwari. He threw light on the diverse areas of jobs in science stream. He updated the students about the know-how of all conventional and 21st century based career options students can opt. He resolved the queries of the students in the questionnaire round. He well explained the difference between IT & CS branches, Cyber- Security and its linkage with CS branch. The session substantiated its context and utility well in the present scenario.

Graphite School: International Youth Day

UNO has declared the August 12th as International Youth day. Young people are on the frontlines of the struggle to build a better future for all. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the dire need for the kind of transformational change they seek – and young people must be full partners in that effort.”This is the age of galore, valor, heroism, emotions, devotion, challenges, inventions, inquisition, stress and dilemmas and even much more. This is the time to accomplish your goals and achieve the set targets. But all this should be practiced very cautiously at this crucial stage. Country’s future prospects and the direction of life is entirely dependent on the youth only. A youth is a powerful asset to any country.

Graphite Higher Secondary School celebrated International Youth Day on 13th August 2021 to focus on youth issues and bring them to the attention of the community. It is also observed to acknowledge and celebrate the potential of youth as partners in the global society.  An Online Webinar was organized by Ms. Vaishali Khujneri, HOD English Department. She commenced her session with a self – composed poem “I Beckon”. She highlighted the youth power & potential and invoked them to realise their strength and use it for the well being of the society. In this webinar the roles, responsibilities and rights were discussed. The main magnetism was the videos of the real youth of the school, where they discussed their roles and responsibilities.

Graphite School: Independence Day

This year, The Graphite School has ensured that the fervor of patriotism lives on, and shifted its Independence Day celebrations online. In most, the only live part of the online I-day event was the flag hoisting ceremony and a speech by the principal. Rest of the content was pre-recorded. Students recorded the entire function under the guidance of the teachers in the safety of their homes. The synchronized display despite being in different homes was noteworthy. All the presentations were compiled into one video, which was shared through the MS TEAM.

All the teachers’ fraternity enjoyed the whole online celebration from the school. The students celebrated the whole function with their parents. The flag hoisting and the address by the principal Dr. Vinita Mishra were done live. Vote of thanks was delivered by Cultural committee in charge Ms. Afreen Qureshi.

Graphite School: Teachers' Day

‘One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world’

The enthusiasm was evident in the premises of Graphite Higher Secondary School, as the students celebrated Teachers’ day and dedicated their power packed performance to the teachers. The students shouldered the responsibilities of the teachers for the day with great gusto and exhibited their talents. As to go on with the current pandemic situation, the Teachers Day celebration was done virtually through MS teams on 6th September 2021.The programme started by welcoming all the teachers’ followed by Saraswati vandana. Explanation of the prayer Gurur Brahma was nicely briefed by the students. A video compilation of teachers’ photos was played followed by many dance performances & beautiful speeches by the students. ‘SUPER TEACHER – Talent hunt competition was arranged for the teachers by the Cultural committee of the school. This time the teachers displayed their talents, which was the cherry on the cake. 

The diligent dedication and sincere efforts of the teachers during the wake of Pandemic were acknowledged by the SMC in the form of mementoes. SMC shared its future ventures and architectural planning of the proposed school building with the school fraternity, followed by a luncheon.

Graphite School: Making of Eco-Friendly Ganesha

The School conducted a mega eco-ganpati making workshops to sensitize students of III to VIII classes to the environmental contamination caused by the immersion of POP Ganesha idols on 7th September 2021.

The workshops aimed to teach the participants and their family members the technique of making Ganpati idols using fire clay (shadu) or other easily available eco-friendly material and conserve the environment.

The efforts are directed towards creating a ripple effect where the trained participants can further pass the knowledge to their community members.

VKV-Hurda: Career Counselling Session

A webinar was held by Social Science department on 10th July, 2021 at 4:00 PM hosted by Mr. Anuj Chandak (Joint Director & Election Commission of India) and Mrs. Shruti Charan (Collector District Magistrate Chota, Udaipur). 

The webinar was aimed at creating awareness of civil service examinations and motivating more students to appear for them. Sri Anuj Chandak, who was the student of VKV Hurda, gave the participants insights about the importance of the various services, speaking about his success, experiences and journey as a student. Mrs Stuti Charan was also a student of VKV was addressed significant subjects, like strategies of preparation for the examination, subject choice, life of a civil servant and so on. Providing guidance to students aiming to crack the Indian civil services examination. An interactive session for clarification of doubts and queries was also held. The motivational message given was "Grab the opportunity, it is now or never".

In continuation with same event (Interaction with Alumni).One more alumni Dr. Surabh Sekhawat also interacted with the students of classs 8 to 10th, he spoke about the importance of moral values in life and the values learnt at VKV Hurda.

VKV-Hurda: Webinar by SDG Committee

A webinar was conducted on 30th July, 2021 under the aegis of SDG'S team and Peace Club of VKV, Hurda.

The objective was to reuse plastic bottles and polythene bags for making Eco Bricks. Through these Eco Bricks many objects like stool, sofa, boundaries in garden, lamps, buildings etc. can be created. By this we can remove the plastic hazards, which is the a biggest threat to our lives.

This novel concept and eco-friendly idea was introduced by the resource persons Dr. Meeta Mathur and Mrs. Poonam Kundra, from Agra. They both work for NGO "Unfold Foundation". This NGO is working in the field of preventive health for past 9 years and reducing plastic pollution for last 6 years.

All the teachers and the students of class 9th and 10th of the school participated in the program.

VKV-Hurda: National Level Chess Competition

National U-8 years girls and open chess championship was held from 10th to 12th September 2021. Total 137 players participated from all over the India. Our student, Ms Aaradhya Upadhyay (only player from Rajasthan) also played and performed really well.

 

VKV-Hurda: Investiture Ceremony

The school cabinet was formed on 31st July, 2021 in which Head boy, Head girl, Cultural in-charge, Sports in-charge, Discipline in-charge were elected from the students of class 12th. The oath taking ceremony of the newly elected members was organized. The members pledged to accomplish their responsibilities honestly bringing laurels to the school.

VKV-Hurda: Solo Song Programme

A solo song programme was conducted on the occasion of Independence Day. Students from classes VIII to XII from all four schools of LNJ Group participated. Students demonstrated their love for their country by singing songs steeped in strong sense of patriotism. The program was conducted on the Zoom platform. It was an initiative to centralize the cultural activities of all four schools of LNJ group.

VKV-Hurda: Theatre in Education Workshop

The workshop was held on 3rd and 4th September at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda. The workshop was organized by Mrs. Annu Mehta of Theatre in Education, New Delhi based on new education policy children's teaching and learning from theatre.

In the program, teachers from Class 1 to 8 were briefed by the resource person directory on various activities to tap hidden talent in the students through various activities In this workshop, teachers participated with enthusiasm to make the programme interesting and emphasis was placed on the development of skills such as singing, playing, dancing, playing, listening, speaking etc. and the process of all children's all round development was explained.

On the second day of the workshop teachers performed the lesson in dramatic adaptation by forming separate groups in different subjects.

At the end of the programme, the principal Mrs. Asha Goyal thanked Mrs. Annu Mehta and assured that all the teachers will implement the tricks taught by her in their classes and will make teaching more interesting as per the New Education Policy.

VKV-Hurda: Universal Brotherhood Day

The Universal brotherhood day was celebrated in which a speech competition was organized which had the theme of the “Relevance of Swami Vivekananda's thoughts in the present circumstances”. The event started with the lamp lighting by the school's principal Mrs. Asha Goyal and the pushpajanali offering on the statue of Swami Vivekananda.

The event was attended by 34 students, with their impressive and Vivid Ideas, to inspire the attendees to a spirit of mutual brotherhood and cooperation in the present circumstances.

The school officials from all four schools of LNJ group Hurda, Graphite, Maral and Rishabhdev were present at the event.
