Mandpam: Blood Donation Camp
A blood donation camp was organized on the occasion of Syt. LNJ Babu’s birthday by RSWM, Melange team in coordination with Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Bhilwara at Melange staff club. Shri H. M Vashisth, COO, inaugurated the blood donation camp at Mandpam Unit and 62 units of blood were donated. Certificates were given to all donors in appreciation of their contribution to this great cause.
Maral, Noida: Walk for Life
Maral Noida participated in Cancer Supporton on February 5, 2017. The Chief Guest Mrs Sangeeta Jaitley, w/o Hon’ble Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley flag off the event. Running is one exercise which has been found to reduce the incidence of breast and colon cancer. After the walk, we encouraged the participants by providing juice & fruits.
It was organised by Shri S K Shukla (AGM-HR) and further coordinated by the Team members of HR.
Kharigram: Mahila polytechnic college student's visit
As a part of our CSR activity, a group of 50 women polytechnic students of textile designing visited our plant and understood various processes of spinning. Shri K. N. Mathur, P & A and Shri Gourav Bakliwal from HR facilitated them for this learning. Their principal thanked our Management for giving this opportunity and good hospitality.
Kharigram: Kasturba Girls School
As a part of CSR, a group of 70 girls from Kasturba Girls School visited Kharigram Unit. They understood the process of production. Shri Brijesh Joshi, General Manager P & A welcomed them and explained about the plant activities. Their principal gave vote of thanks to our Management. This visit was concluded by light snacks.
MPCL: Sponsorship for Special Olympics
MPCL has contributed a sum of Rs 2 Lac to sponsor two Divyangan athletes from Himachal Pradesh for their participation in Special Olympics World Winter Games in March 2017 at Austria.
MPCL: Women Empowerment Program
Promoting women socially and economically, MPCL convened a meeting with Mahila Mandal of nearest village. The Mahila Mandal has expressed their keen interest for tailoring and cutting training. MPCL has started six months 1st batch sewing training (cutting & tailoring) under CSR for women of Chowki village w.e.f. March 1, 2017. Till March 31, a total 20 women joined this training center. MPCL provided a trainer to this center with required equipments, raw materials, teaching aids and infrastructure.
MPCL: Greenery Development in and around the area
For Environmental Sustainability and Ecological Balance, MPCL implemented its plantation drive in surrounding area. This was carried out with active participation of MPCL employees under guidance of State Forest Department. A total 200 Deodar saplings were planted on March 30, 2017 in the area recommended by Forest Range officer. For protection & survival of these new plantations, the area has been fenced with barbed wires.
MPCL: Solar lights facility
There was inadequate light facility on the roads and streets of nearest village (Chowki). Villagers had to face problems to go to their premises after sundown. To resolve this issue, solar lights have been installed on phases under CSR Scheme by MPCL. Solar light is one of the cleanest, most-affordable form of Renewable Energy. In this phase installation, three solar lights have been provided to the village in March.
Rishabhdev: Blanket Distribution
On January 14, 2017 Makar Sankranti was celebrated. Ladies Club, RSWM Rishabhdev served food to the gardeners and also distributed `blankets’ to sixty people who were employed in the unit. All members of the Club actively participated in the programme. Every year the club distributes household items on this auspicious day.
ADHPL: Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign, “DO BOOND JINDAGI KE”
Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign was conducted on January 29, 2017 at health center, Prini. On January 30 & 31, door to door campaign was carried out by the health workers of ADHPL. A total 107 children were given polio drops during the campaign. Two vehicles were also provided to the State Health Department for pulse polio campaign without any cost.
Bhilwara: Mushaiyra
A mushaiyra was organized by LNJ Group at Azad Chowk, Bhilwara in association with NGO Kalam Foundation. Several poets from Udaipur, Agra and Jaipur participated in this event. With help of rhymes, they stressed on importance of Urdu Language as whole and its need to be protected from extinction. Among those present were Shri Anees Durrani, Secretary AICC as Chief Guest along with Shri Suresh Kanojea, Coordinator SC Cell AICC; Smt Madhu Jaju, Former Chairperson Nagar Parisad; Smt Rekha Hiran, President Mahila Congress; Shri Om Narayaniwal and Shri Rajnish Kumar, OSD LNJ Bhilwara Group. The program saw huge gathering of muslim community especially women participants in large numbers.
