Maral: Walk for Life

Maral Overseas Ltd, Noida has participated in a Cancer Support cause held on 3rd February, 2019. The Chief Guest of the campaign was Smt Gursharan Kaur, W/O of Ex-Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. She flagged off the event for this noble cause. Other Dignitaries who attended the walk included Ms Mary Carlson-Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy.

Running is one exercise which has been found to reduce the incidence of breast and colon cancer. After the walk participants were encouraged by providing juice & fruits and being motivated to take care of their health by daily running or walk. This event was organized by HR Department and coordinated with all the HOD’s & Staff Members of Maral, Noida.

ADHPL: Sanitary Pads Distribution

1500 packets of sanitary pads were distributed to girl students/children of GSSS-Manali, GSSS-Jagatsukh, GHS-Prini, GHS Vashist and Sahara Old Age Home under ADHPL CSR activities. The aim is to enhance hygiene and health of the girl child from the lower socioeconomic strata of the affected villages. Schools staff and girls thanked ADHPL, Prini for this kind of initiative.

ADHPL: Clearing of Manali-Nagar Road for Vehicular Traffic

Manali-Nagar Road got blocked on 23rd February & 3rd March, 2019 due to landslides and boulders which had fallen during heavy rainfall. On the request of the SDM Manali & Pradhan of local Panchayat, a loader was deployed to clear the road for vehicular traffic. This was a good will gesture by ADHPL, the administration and local villagers appreciated the immediate action taken by ADHPL on this serious issue.

ADHPL: Donation of Mats to Govt. Primary School

The ADHPL had received request from Govt. Primary School, Prini   for donating some mats for use during winter season in the open class rooms. 21 Nos. of mats were donated to Govt. Primary School, Prini on February 01, 2019. And also one mono-block pump to lift the water from hot spring for multiple uses was donated to Sahara Old Age Home, Kalath.

ADHPL: Jacket, Shoes and Sweets Distribution in Slums

On 15th March, 2019, 113 numbers of Jackets, 101 numbers of shoes and sweets packs were distributed among slum children at Bhunter (Kullu) by ADHPL. The NGO Human Welfare Society runs a school for these children and had requested for support to these children. The ADHPL management provided warm clothes and shoes worth Rs. 0.10 Mn. The efforts of ADHPL were applauded in the social media as well as in local publications.

ADHPL: Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign

The roundup of Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign was conducted from 10th to 12th March. 2019 at health center, Prini. Door to door campaign was also carried out by the health workers of ADHPL in the surrounding villages. Total 103 were given polio drops during the campaign. Two vehicles were also provided to the state health department for pulse polio campaigning, free of cost.

Rishabhdev: Sweater Distribution by Ladies Club

Ladies Club of RSWM Rishabhdev distributed sweaters to poor people working in the campus on 14th January, 2019, Makar Sankranti day. All the members of Club actively participated in this charity programme. The RSWM Rishabhdev club does this noble activity every year to extend some help towards the poor and marginalised people of the society.

Ringas: Blood Donation Camp

On the occasion of World Cancer Day on 4th February, 2019RSWM Limited, Ringas unit organized a Blood Donation and Cancer Awareness Camp. The staff members and workers participated in the Camp and donated 40 units of blood with a spirit that “There is no great joy than saving a soul”. Dy. COO along with senior officers was present in the camp to motivate the blood donors. During the camp, the doctors interacted with our workers about disadvantages of smoking, Tobacco & Gutka chewing. On this day, Shri Avinash Bhargava along with Doctors of Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur (BMCHRC) addressed and spread awareness about cancer to 1000 Girls of Vedanta Post Graduate College, Ringas.

MPCL: Eye Check Up Camp

MPCL has organised an eye check-up camp in collaboration with MDSD Rotary Eye Hospital, Kullu. Total 220 no’s of eye patients visited the camp for eye related problems. Free medicines & Optical were distributed during the camp. Out of 220 patients, 34 no’s of cataracts surgeries and 4 no’s of Pterygium surgeries have also been conducted and everyone was appreciating this noble initiative taken by MPCL family.

MPCL: Donated Topcon Optical Coherence Tomography Machine

MPCL has donated a Topcon Optical Coherence Tomography machine for eye check-up to the peoples of Kullu. It has been placed at Varunie Charitable Netralya in Kullu. Earlier this type of eye check-up machine was not available with any of the Govt or Semi-Govt health organisation. 

MPCL: Installation of Sanitary Pad Dispenser and Incinerator Machines

MPCL has taken a step ahead in the field of women awareness & empowerment. Total 6 no’s of sanitary pad dispenser with incinerator machines have been installed at different places in Kullu, like - Hospitals, Schools and Colleges. The initiative was welcomed by local women and girls of the region.

MPCL: Plantation Under Greenery Development

For Environmental sustainability and to maintain ecological balance MPCL has implemented its plantation drive in surrounding area. The plantation was carried out by MPCL under the guidance of state forest department. Total 1000 nos. Deodar saplings were planted in the month of February & March 2019, in the area recommended by Forest Range officer- Jari Kullu. In addition to that, the protection & survival of the new plantation drive has been fenced with barbed wires. 

MPCL: Donation of Clothes to Bal Ashram

MPCL distributed 40 no’s of Track Suits & T-Shirts to Bal Ashram, Kalehali Bhuntar, Kullu under CSR activity. This Ashram is being run under State Welfare Department and is registered under Juvenile Justice Board. The children of the Ashram were delighted after receiving new and warm clothes.
