HEG: Awareness Session on POSH

Timely refreshers on Organization’s Policy and Code and Conduct are necessary for employees to stay in touch with updates and have awareness about dos & don’ts, also equipped with better information employees can be more engaged and contributing their part in business growth.  L&D, conducted a session on Plant Policies, to make Employees aware of their rights and duties. Session covered awareness about Policy on Sexual Harassment in Plant.

HEG: Online Training on Weighing Management System

The Weighing Management System training is basically imparted to understand how weighing system plays important role in becoming more efficient at our work. The engineers learned very minutely what are the parameters to be kept in mind while weighing different materials and how to improve overall productivity. The training was conducted by M/s Mettler Toledo.

HEG: Virtual Training Program by M/s Bureau Veritas

As per the in-house requirement of creating additional Internal Auditors, we had organized training with M/s Bureau Veritas, Gujarat India. It was a virtual training where participants have enjoyed & gained a lot to understand the documentation and procedure for doing Internal Audits. The purpose of this training is to get more organized, systematic and standardized w.r.t. work habits that would increase overall efficiency.

HEG: Session on Fire Fighting System

A session was organized on firefighting system on 22nd December, 2020 by Mr. Kanti Kumar of safety department. In this session, people understood about Fire Triangle, Classification of fire, A, B, C, D & K types of fire and their rectification, emergency information system & emergency contact numbers, firefighting equipment in HEG, PPEs, smoke detectors, permit system for everyone and also share case studies.

BSL: Workshop of Hazardous Waste Management

The Department of Factory and Boiler, Government of Rajasthan has organized a special training workshop on "Hazardous Waste Management" at Sangam plant on October 29th, 2020, in which 15 employees and workers of BSL have actively participated in this training program. The Deputy Chief Inspector Factory and Boiler Mr. Ramesh Purohit and his team have given detailed training/information about the related hazards through oral, presentation and video such as how to identify and handle such waste, its storage and transportation. And other essential health and safety requirements etc.

The workshop on "Hazardous Waste Management" on October 29th, 2020 organized by the Department of Factory and Boiler, Government of Rajasthan.

BSL: Industrial Hygiene & Health Safety Awareness Program

Looking to Corona Virus infection, an awareness program for “workers Canteen, Mess and Guest House staffs on “Industrial Hygiene and Health Safety" was organized on Nov., 21, 2020 with the aim & objective of providing the good level of hygiene / housekeeping as well as the preparation and serving of foods, etc. in the canteen, mess and guest house were to be implemented and maintained so that safety precautions can be taken while avoiding corona infection and unwanted communicable diseases.

Shri RD Jat (Senior Manager-HR & Admin) , Shri Mahesh Sharma (Sr.Manager-Personnel) and Safety Manager Shri Ram Milan Singh have briefed the canteen, mess and guesthouse contractors and their employees about of the hygiene and health safety requirements.

BSL: COVID-19 Awareness Week

BSL Safety / Personnel Department organized COVID-19 Awareness Week from 9th & 14th Nov., 2020 to sensitize its working people and fight the corona virus infection. Accordingly, this awareness program has been conducted by the officials of the Department of Safety and Personnel awareness programs in various work places / units. The Officers like Shri Ram Milan Singh, Shri Nitin Sharma, and Shri RD Jat etc. have contributed significantly in organizing this awareness program.

Shri Ram Milan Singh (Manager-Safety) has to about of COVID-19 and its preventive measures to the workmen such as use PPE, wash hands regularly, maintain social / physical distance and follow its essential health and safety guidelines / instructions.

BSL: Certified First Aid Training Program

BSL management has taken initiative to spread awareness about the importance of first aid and CPR training to their employees / workmen in their daily lives. In this regard, first aid training has been conducted on 23rd & 24th November, 2020 by Dr. Abhishek Kanchan of St. John Ambulance Association, Delhi. In this training program, about 35 workers took active participation out of which 25 staff / workers have been selected as skilled First Aiders in this schedule. 

BSL: Use of PPEs & It’s Importance

BSL Safety Department has organized a special training on 16th November, 2020 for the workers and employees on the topic "Use of PPEs and its important" in which around 300 workmen from different workplaces / divisions have participated in this special awareness program actively. Safety Manager Mr. Ram Milan Singh advised all personnel to use and use various personnel protective equipments such as safety helmets, nose masks, earplugs, hand gloves and safety belts, etc.)according to the potential hazards and risks available at work places and works. Has told the importance.

BSL: Energy Management (50001:2018), Internal Auditor Training Programme

BSL Management organized internal auditor training course cum Awareness Programme on Energy Management (50001:2018) to their staffs through thereby facilitating planning, control, monitoring, preventive and corrective actions and auditing and review activities to comply with energy policy, and compliance with energy management system appropriate regulations. This training and awareness programme has been conducted by the SGS Academy India on 19th & 20th October, 2020.

Rishabhdev: Drawing Competition

A drawing competition for children was held on 14th December, 2020 on Energy Conservation, on the National Energy Conservation day. Children prepared the drawings at their residence and submitted to the General Manager (Engineering). A team comprising of five senior officers were the Judges of the Competition. The prize money to the Winners and consolation prize to all the participants were distributed.  

Kharigram: Training on” Company Auditor’s Report Order

An awareness session was organised in Gyan Mandir (HR department) on the subject “Company Auditor’s Report Order" on 21st October, 2020. Shri Mahendra Kumar Hinger, Manager, Finance & Accounts, explained about disclosure requirements of Plant i.e property & equipment, Inventories, Cost records, Statutory dues, Related party transactions, Internal audit, Loan, Interests and Deposits as per new amendment by Ministry of Finance. All participants from Finance & Accounts and Corporate Finance department acquired good knowledge through this program and encouraged to organise the same also for technical staff periodically.

Kharigram: Training on “Ring Travellers - Effect & Prevention"

A training cum awareness programme on Ring Travellers - Effect & Prevention, was organised on 17th October, 2020 which was presented by Team Voltas. Sh Govinda Verma, Manager Marketing (Voltas) explained about Ring Traveller Profile, Running-in, Countwise use of Ring Traveller and its life, various methods for cost optimization. He educated to all personnel to follow the guidelines of Ring Traveller to act the better life of Ring Traveller and Yarn Quality. He also thrown light on uses of ring Travellers and it’s affect in various type of fibres. Officers of Engineering, Maintenance, Purchase and Production departments were covered in this programme.

 

Kharigram: Learning Session on “Cost Optimization in Dyeing Process"

A learning session on Cost Optimization in Dyeing Process was organised on 30th October, 2020 which was presented by Team Colourtex. They explained about various use of Dies and Chemicals in Fibre Dyeing, Cost Reduction in each step of Dyeing, New Innovation in Dyeing Process, methods of Dyeing etc. Officers of Dye House, New product development, Yarn Development and Purchase departments were covered in this programme.

Kharigram: Learning Session on Quality Complaints and Remedies

An interaction cum learning session on Quality Complaints and their remedies was conducted on 5th November, 2020. Sh R.K. Soni, Head-QA explained the various common problems at each stage of production, market complaints and their remedies etc. All HODs & Section In-charges participated in this experience sharing programme. During the programme, an open discussion cum interaction wrt practical aspects of this topic was very interesting. Sh. N.K. Bahedia, COO in his concluding address, emphasized to take greater caution on quality parameters during production process.

Kharigram: Training on Safety Practices at Workplace

A Safety awareness programme was conducted on 24-11-2020, which was presented by Sh Dileep Chourasia, Safety Officer. All officers and workmen of Engineering, Maintenance, Production departments were covered in this programme. The topics were Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Near Miss, Unsafe Act & Condition, Use of PPE etc. covered in this session, also with live demo of firefighting. He educated to all personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond upon different emergency situations.

Kharigram: Transition of OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001

The OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate, part of Integrated Management System is now converted into ISO 45001:2008 in 2021. For this transition and its awareness purpose, a Virtual Training programme at Group Level was conducted on 8th December, 2020. Mr Susheel Sharma from BSI took a session, covered all participants from Kharigram, RPSF, Ringas, Rishabhdev, Mandpam, Kanyakheri, Mordi and Lodha units. Now transition audit will be conducted soon for its certification.

Kharigram: Virtual Training Programme

As a part of leadership development and succession planning, the virtual training sessions were conducted in the month of October 2020. Mr Rakesh Singh, Corporate Trainer from Knowledge Wizard took all the sessions. The topics covered were Accountability, Conflict Resolution, and Decision Making. All the programs were very practical and interactive. Total 72 Managers of RSWM Units-Kharigram, Lodha, Mordi, TPP, Rishabhdev, Kanyakheri, Mandpam, Ringas and RPSF got benefited from this learning program.  

Banswara: External Training Program

A group level virtual training program was conducted by CHRD for identified potential employee in month of October 2020. In this program, total 12 participants from Lodha, Banswara attended this training program. Under this learning session three topics were covered by faculty Shri Rakesh Singh. The program was very much appreciated by the participants.

Banswara: Virtual Training on IT Services

After the COVID- 19 pandemic, new ways of learning were initiated by HR & IR team of Banswara. A virtual training program for newly joined staff was organised on “IT services” from October-December, 2020 in the learning centre by IT team. All the participates enjoyed the training session and appreciated the new ways of Virtual training.

Mandpam: Training Programme on Fire & Safety

A training programme on Fire & Safety was organized by the Mandpam unit on 16th December, 2020. The main objective was to clarify the role of industrial safety and how it’s important in day to day working. Shri Anil Kumar (Executive – Fire & Safety) was the faculty for this training programme.

LNJ Denim : 5S Training & its Implementation in Plant

A training session & review meeting on 5S was conducted on 12th November, 2020 for both LNJ Denim & Fabric plant in presence of our Business Head, Shri Suketu Shah. A three hour training program was provided to the employees. It was given by Shri Mahadev Sapkal and the main objective of the training was to create awareness about the use of 5S & its implementation in plant premises. Before training 5 S Audit had conducted to review the implementation of 1S & 2S in our plant by our internal Auditor. They had given certain observation for further improvement in departmentwise. Total 21 staff members had attended the session.

BMD: Training on Integrated Management System

A training programme on Integrated Management System for ISO 14001: 2015; ISO 45001: 2018 & ISO 50001: 2018 was conducted in BMD. All related staff members took advantage of this training programme under the leadership of BMD, Quality Head Mr. J.K. Verma. It was a great learning experience of IMS for staff members. 

Ringas: Fire and Safety Workshop

Taking lessons from the horrific and massive incident of fire at Sutluj Textile Baddi fibre plant, RPSF Div. have conducted a fire and safety workshop on 26Th Dec, 20. During this workshop, COO visited the entire factory and  closely examined all aspects and risk probability related to Fire, safety and security.

ADHPL: First Surveillance of IMS Completed

The 1st surveillance audit of integrated management system (EMS, QMS & OH&SMS) was completed successfully on 7th October, 2020. Due to COVID-19 lockdown rules and prevailing conditions, the audit was conducted through online mode by the certification agency. During the audit process, documents of different departments were audited and interaction was held with different department in-charges and employees of ADHPL through online medium to assess the implementation status of management systems (ISO 9001; 2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001: 2018) at ADHPL.

After completion of audit the lead auditor recommended ADHPL for the continuation of IMS certification for another one year.

ADHPL: Permit To Work Training

ADHPL is committed to health and safety of its employees and the contractors associated with it. In order to further improve the health and safety systems in ADHPL, the implementation of PTW (Permit to Work) system was updated for T-Line and responsibility of all involved persons was fixed. Online training session of all concerned employees was organised and the PTW was discussed in detail.

ADHPL: Job Safety Analysis Training

A refresher training session on various aspects of job safety analysis and preparation of JSA was conducted to make HSE system and implementation of JSA more effective. The training was imparted by Statkraft HSE-Manager Mr. Sudhir Nathani.

HSE personnel from ADHPL, TL, MPCL and corporate HSE personnel attended the training session online through zoom app. During the session, stepwise preparation of JSA and its effective implement on ground/at site was discussed in detail.
