HEG: “Global Parli” & “Global Raisen” Projects

Launch of AgriGate - For forward linkages, along with Atal Incubation Centre (AIC), a part of NITI Aayog, we are starting a new initiative to help us create a sustainable and scalable development model for farmers. AgriGate is a program to create an ecosystem of startups for market access to 7000 small and marginal farmers. It's a first of its kind program at this scale. The objective is to create a Sustainable Forward Market Linkage Ecosystem through the collaboration of Institutions namely- NGO/ FPO, Incubator, Venture Capitalists, Corporates, Social Marketing Enterprise, Market Operators and Startups with due support from the Government agencies. The end customer for all these institutions is Farmer and the success criteria are increased incomes.

Farmers’ outreach in Madhya Pradesh - Farmer outreach is at the core of Global Parli operations, across all our regions. Our on-ground team, while on the survey, collects the following intel for us to assist the farmers personally:

  • Farmer ID, Name, District, Taluka, Village, Mobile no etc.
  • Fruit plant in practice
  • Count of Good fruit plants, Damaged Plants (if any)
  • Status of Drip Irrigation & Mulching
  • Soil Report
  • Whether the Training Book & App is shared with the farmer
  • Overall Survey Status

We use all this information to regularly keep a check on our project status and optimize the operations accordingly. We cover this across 8 districts of Marathwada, the entire Palghar district and 5 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Papaya Distribution - The first distribution took place on 10th Match 2021, where around 8000+ saplings were distributed. We stepped into our plantation with a headspace of fulfilling goals that involve greater numbers than what we managed to conquer last year. We are all geared up to set off for this year by already distributing saplings at a subsidized price.

Exposure at Krishi Mela - On 14th March 2021, people gathered in thousands for the Annual Krishi Mela organized by KVK Raisen, Madhya Pradesh. Following were the highlights of the event:

  • Demonstration of latest technologies developed by different institutions in Agricultural activities
  • Demonstration and marketing of different types of seeds/plant materials/fertilizers etc.
  • Demonstration and marketing of quality products prepared by model farmers
  • Branches and livestock
  • Display and marketing agricultural products at affordable prices.
  • Discussion on the empowerment of youth for technology-based farming.
  • Farmer speeches / Agricultural Knowledge / Cultural Function
  • Live demonstration of agricultural techniques

Staff training - At Global Parli, we started out training programmes for our employees in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh team was sent to Parli to understand the grassroots work done and get trained by the Parli team. They have also trained in operations in Mumbai.

The training included mobilization training, team building, accounting, data management, to address farmer issues and to understand the process of plantation of saplings. The team was taught technical subjects and horticultural processes to help them address farmer issues at a training session at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) on 11th February 2021.

Ringas: Distribution of BP Instruments to Government Hospital

RSWM Ltd-Ringas Ladies Club have assisted and supported the Government Hospital Health Centre located in Ringas on 14th January, 2021 by handing over 4 Numbers of BP Instruments for testing Blood Pressure. The Instruments were presented by the team of RSWM (Ladies Staff Club Members, General Manager-P&IR). This will help the local people in getting tested their Blood Pressure levels.

Ringas: Bhamashah Certificate to RSWM by Divisional Commissioner

The Divisional Commissioner, Udaipur Dr. Samit Sharma (IAS) has visited Government Hospital of Ringas on 31st March, 2021. Dr.Samit Sharma awarded the Bhamashah Certificate to RSWM Limited, Ringas unit as recognition of CSR activities done towards Govt. Hospital.

ADHPL: Scholarship Scheme

ADHPL provides scholarships of different amounts to the brilliant and needy children of the local area. The scheme is available for students of 9th to 12th standards and some technical courses as defined in the Policy. This year 43 students qualified under the scheme and were granted scholarship. The students, teachers and local villagers appreciated the scholarship policy of ADHPL and thanked the entire management.

ADHPL: Donation of Clothes to Sahara Old Age Home

ADHPL donated winter wears to the old age inhabitants of Sahara Old Age Home at village Kalath near Manali on February 06, 2021. The management of Sahara Old Age Home appreciated the initiative of ADHPL and was very pleased. MPCL and ADHPL is supporting the Old Age Home from last 6 years under its CSR activities.

ADHPL: Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign

An intensive Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign was conducted from 14th to 16th February, 2021 at ADHPL Health Centre, Prini by providing polio drops to the children below 5 years of age after following all COVID preventive measures. Door to door campaign was also carried out by the health workers of ADHPL in the surrounding villages on 15th and 16th February, 2021 keeping in mind necessary measures while this Campaign. Total 113 children were given polio drops during the pulse polio drive.

ADHPL: Sewing Training Centre Inaugurated

A Sewing training centre for women was started at Jagatsukh village by AD Hydro Power Ltd., under CSR initiatives. The aim of this activity is to empower women of local villages. The sewing centre was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Kapoor (AVP-O&M) in the presence of the Pradhan Gram Panchayat Jagatsukh and Panchayat members. Approximately 30 women will be trained in the training centre during the six month tenure. One female trainer belonging to the same village has been selected to impart the training to these ladies.

ADHPL: CSR Initiatives

ADHPL under its CSR initiatives have donated Computer with all its accessories including Printer, LED Bulbs and Drinking Water Tank to different schools of Kullu District on 25th March, 2021. This initiative by ADHPL was applauded by all the school management.

MPCL: Inauguration of Top Floor at DMJ Anathalaya

An inauguration of top floor was done by MPCL at DMJ Anathalya on 26th January 2021. MPCL has constructed the top floor of Divya Manav Jyoti Anathalya Trust, Dehar (Bilaspur, HP) to help the elderly people who doesn’t have their home and income to live a proper life.

MPCL: Donation to New Aajivika Self Help Group

During the last quarter, MPCL has provided machines for pickle making & sauce to New Aajivika Self Help Group Hamirpur, HP. Women of this self-help group is involved in the production of Papaya, Pumpkin, Round Gourd & Indian Gooseberry (Awla) sweets, pickle and sauces. They had also participated in the national women self-help group event held in March 2021 at national capital region (Noida) and their products were highly appreciated.

MPCL: Plantation Drive

200 plants of the Deodar (Cedrus Deodara) were planted with the help of Panchayat Pradhan & Shesh Nag Yubal Mandal Chowki at pre-identified forest land under Parvati Forest Division. A plantation drive was also carried out with the help of Human Welfare Society and 500 plants of the deodar were planted at forest land under Kullu Forest Division.

Jawahar Foundation: Cutting & Tailoring Centre Inauguration, Banera

Jawahar Foundation under their flagship program of women empowerment is doing wonderful work in district of Bhilwara & Ajmer region in Rajasthan. In line with, the Foundation inaugurated a 3 month free Cutting & Tailoring centre for nearby women of village Banera, Rajasthan.

The Jawahar Foundation in an association with PHD Family Welfare Foundation have also inaugurated a Medical Health Care centre for the local villagers of Banera. The villagers have welcomed this special drive for the welfare of local people.

During this ceremony, some dignitaries were present like - Mr Hemendra Singh Banera (Former MP), Mr Parakram Singh Banera (Former MLA), Mr Dilip Singh Prajapati (Tehsildar), Mr Devendra Suvalaka (Village Sarpanch) and others important people of village.

The overall campaign was successfully conducted under the able guidance of Mr Narender Mudgal, Secretary, Jawahar Foundation.
