VVV-Maral: Online Examination

In the times of e-learning during this pandemic, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar conducted Mid-term examinations in the month October through online mode. The question paper was released live on Zoom platform classrooms as per the slot schedule.

Students were instructed to keep their video and audio ‘on’ while writing the paper. The student's study table was mandated to be visible to the invigilator on Zoom Class grid. They had to turn in their answer sheets within five minutes after the exam. The school had provided an emergency number for any assistance that a student may need in case of some technical difficulty. Formative assessments that go on all through the academic year were conducted using e-quizzes and other modes of on online platform.

VVV-Maral: Online PTM

PTM of Classes III to XII was very unique this time as it was virtual. The parents were apprised about the performance of their ward in the class based on the document SUPIR (Student Understanding of Performance and Interventions & Remediation). Parents highly appreciated the initiative taken by the school to conduct online classes and smooth functioning of continued education of their wards despite immediate need of tech transition. The innovative and interactive teaching-learning and co-curricular activities were well acclaimed by the parents as they witnessed it all.

VVV-Maral: Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

To commemorate the national festival ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ and to celebrate the 151st birth anniversary of the father of nation - Mahatma Gandhi, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar organized skill competition - painting for the students on Oct 2, 2020. The main objectives of these activities were to inculcate Gandhian values and to sow seeds of a good human being and good citizen in students.

VVV-Maral: Online Navratri Celebration

Navratri is a festival to celebrate power of nine forms of the goddess Durga. It is a festival of joy, dance, colours, and love. VVV Maral students celebrated it at home in Covid-19 times through virtual mode participating in ‘devi roop-fancy dress’ ‘devi aradhna-solo dance’ ‘devi themed art work’.

VVV-Maral: Diwali Celebration

Vivekians celebrated virtual Diwali with great zeal and enthusiasm. Various competitions and activities were organized through online mode. The students of Vivekanand School took the opportunity to showcase their incredible work and participated in competition based on the themes - Me and My beautiful Home, My 3 Generation Family, My family My Pride.

VVV-Maral: Sports Workshop

Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch organized a 6 days online workshop on Integral Education with specific emphasis on physical education and sports activities from 21 to 26 September, 2020 for Sports and Primary teachers from Nursery to Class 5 to impart a deeper understanding of integral education. The workshop was designed to be very comprehensive and integrated to cover all key aspects for primary school education, which can later be imparted to school students by the teachers. 

The workshop covered key concepts of Integral Education, meditation and the importance of physical activities, sports and fitness training along with Integral Health. Our School team of 12 members:- 1. Nisha Rathore, 2. Sheetal Jain, 3. Antimbala Gangrade, 4. Sandhya Shukla, 5. Sonali Fating, 6. Babita Sharma, 7. Pravati Parida, 8. Anjali Kewat, 9. Shubham Chouhan, 10. Deepak Meena, 11. Sunil Mishra, 12. Jyoti Karma have participated in the workshop and learned what is actual integral education and how to make children's good motor ability for their bright future.

VVV-Maral: Centralised Examination

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar conducted centralised Pre – Board exams for classes X and XII. PT – 3 and Half Yearly Exams were conducted for class III to IX and XI. The exam for classes IX to XII was on offline mode and rest of the classes took the exam in online mode. For Centralised Pre Boards, the Group schools collaborated and shared the Question Papers for giving a fair and unbiased practice and preparation to students for Board Examination preparation.     

VVV-Maral: Physical Schooling

Education is an essential part of young generation and ignoring schooling can have long-term implications. Realizing the fact and following the Government directives & COVID safety protocols, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar attempted to reopen schools from December 7, 2020 with support and cooperation of parents.

The student were mandated and educated to use Sanitizers, Masks, and to maintain social distance everywhere and every time. The entire staff and school management keenly followed all the essential precautions for the safety and security of students.

VVV-Maral: Chess Training

The selected students are being given exposure through the Chess Training Foundation aligned by School HO. They are getting SIMUL events and Online chess coaching weekly for better understanding of game. Students were gaining exposure to compete the games with Grandmasters at a bigger platforms.

VVV-Maral: FIT India

"A sound mind in a sound body”

Vivekians took initiative and became a part of the CBSE Fitness Week and brought about a behavioural change in its students by spending 'Passive Screen Time' to 'Active field' and supported the idea to Welcome New Year by organizing class wise competitions. Students were encouraged to exercise daily to have a healthy life and share their videos.

VVV-Maral: Kids Christmas Celebration Virtually

A Christmas Craft Workshop was conducted on Christmas Day for the students of Nursery to class II where the kids were taught to make beautiful christmas tree and bells in an easy way using the easy available materials. Many children joined this workshop with their parents. They learnt, enjoyed and showed their creativity and made the festival memorable.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Kathak Workshop

“Burdened no more is the soul for whom life flows through dance like breath.”

At VKV, we understand that dance is the narration of magical stories which illuminates imagination. In the light of this belief ‘KATHAK DANCE RECITAL’ cum WORKSHOP was organized by our school from 18th to 24th October, 2020. This workshop was conducted by Ms. SHIPRA JOSHI, a renowned Kathak artist of SPIC Macay. A warm welcome was given to her by Principal Mr. D K Gupta.

During the workshop, Ms. Shipra Joshi explained about Bhoomi Pranaam, Tatkaar, Hastak (Hand movements), Chakkar (Rounds), Tukde, Tihayi, Shloka (Guru Vandana), Hast mudra, complex footsteps, facial expressions and its nuances. Her way of dealing with all the participants individually helped the students to develop interest towards classical dance forms. Girls from Grades II to XI actively participated in the Virtual Kathak Workshop. After each class she shared the videos and students practiced at home. Students also shared their practice videos. It was indeed a truly enriching experience for all.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Navratri Celebration

A Colourful Garba and Dandiya Raas rejuvenated the vibrancy of the Navratri.

Navratra is largely about garba and dandiya which is impossible with social distancing norms. To ensure that each one of us to be safe, we decided to host the event virtually. The school celebrated Navratri with ‘GARBA SHOW’ in which students of all grades participated with great enthusiasm. All the students attired in traditional dresses added to the festive mood. Students along with teachers all danced on the beats and tune of ’GARBA’ very devotedly with their heart out creating vibrant and exuberant show. The students were told about the importance of nine days of Navratri and about the ‘nine forms’ of Goddess Durga. They were also told about how Navratri celebration symbolizes victory over evil.

VKV-Rishabhdev: No Mask-No Entry Campaign

Scouts and Guide team of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev organized NO MASK-NO ENTRY CAMPAIGN on 29th October, 2020 at Rishabhdev and Khairwara town. This campaign was organized under the supervision of Ms. Shweta Jain, Mr. Naresh Patel, Mr. Om Prakash and Ms. Indu Bala. Scouts, Guides and teachers took part in this event and distributed 350 Masks and pasted 300 No Mask-No Entry campaign posters at prominent public places of town Khairwara. On this occasion, Tehsildar Khairwara Mr. Punmaram Choudhary & Principal Mr. D. K. Gupta motivated people of the town to wear masks, keep social distancing, frequent hand washing and proper sanitization. Mr. Premendra Trivedi and Mr. Tarun Trivedi also helped in this campaign.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Diwali Celebration

“DIWALI” – a festival that celebrates the spirit of hope, faith, tradition and gives out the message that good always prevails victorious. This Diwali at VKV, we pledged to “Go Green” and observe “Cracker free Diwali”. Students were shown stories of Diwali and were told the significance of Cracker free Diwali and saying No to crackers.

Sessions included talks on Eco-Friendly Diwali, the joy of sharing with the less privileged and the importance to conserve nature and protect humanity for this time due to Covid-19. Students were also told about be Vocal for Local. They were asked to support local producers and shopkeepers.  Students participate in various activities like Diya Decoration, Rangoli making and Ramayana character drawing competition. The celebration ended with a thought in everybody’s minds – “let us fill our homes with prayers & lights, not cracker noise and fumes”.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Live Interaction Session with Sh. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar

There was live interaction of our students with Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh ji Mewar of Udaipur, a prominent and great personality on 1.12.20. The programme started with Rajasthani folk dance performancs on ‘Ghoomar’ by Mansi Pandya and Jhil Jain. A detailed introduction of the guest was given by Meemansa Laxkar and Vidhi Patel. On this occasion a song related to the life of great king of Mewar Shri Maharana Pratap was sung by Hiya Bhandari and Hiya Teli. Welcome and introduction of the programme was given by Principal Mr. D. K. Gupta.

During interactive session the students asked many questions from guest and felt honoured. He guided and motivated the students. The students asked about the achievements and his high ambitions. He solved the curiosity of the students with ease. He was very glad to interact with the students and invited our principal sir to meet him personally to discuss future assignments for students.

At the end of the programme the principal thanked the guest, all the parents, students for participating in the program with full patience and activeness.

VKV-Rishabhdev: SPIC MACAY Programme

Our school was graced with the presence of renowned classical musician, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. He performed virtually under SPIC MACAY program on 10th December, 2020. He is credited with the invention of Mohan Veena instrument. It was a 45-minute-long live concert wherein he played the Mohan Veena. The students from classes 6th to 11th witnessed his performance.

He even invited some questions from the children related to his instrument and importance of classical music, he responded to all the questions in a very detailed manner. It was an enthralling performance as it brought the students in touch with the classical roots of our country.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Drawing Competition on Energy Conservation

The students of Grades 6th to 11th participated in a Drawing Competition on 14th December during energy conservation week celebrated by RSWM Ltd. Rishabhdev. There were two groups – JUNIOR GROUP (grades 6 to 8) and SENIOR GROUP (Grades 9 to 12). All the students performed well and the winners were awarded with cash prize as follows-

  • First Prize - Rs. 1000
  • Second Prize - Rs. 500
  • Third Prize - Rs. 300

All the participating students got consolation prizes for their sincere efforts.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Christmas Celebration

Jesus is the light of the world, children should be a light to the world and this light should shine in the world. Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrate it with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among our children every year.

This year too we celebrated it, not physically but virtually with same zeal. The program was conducted by the students of class 8th. Various programs were presented by the students. English speech by Kashish Chaudhari, Hindi speech by Liza Kothari and Moulik Kalasua, Hindi poem by Hiya Teli, English song by Bhumi Jain and Nivi Jain, Carol by little kids of mill campus and anchoring was done by Riti Kalal. Through this the children delivered the message of harmony, equality, brotherhood etc.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Virtual Alumni Meet

A Virtual Alumni meet was organized on 6th December, 2020. In this meet students of Batches 2003-04 to 2013-14 took part. Students appreciated the efforts of the school to organize First Alumni Virtual Meet. Students shared their experiences of school days and extended thanks to their teachers. Mr. D. K. Gupta interacted with students and gave PPT presentation of different online activities conducted by the school. Ms. Jaya H. Nair also interacted with the students and gave vote of thanks on this occasion. 

VKV-Rishabhdev: Webinar on COVID-19

VKV, Rishabhdev hosted an Interactive Virtual Webinar on COVID-19: safety, health and well-being of students and staff. This webinar was organized under CBSE Hubs of Learning. In this webinar CMHO, Udaipur Dr. Dinesh Kharadi and Additional District & Session Judge Ms. Riddhima Sharma shared their views on this occasion. Dr. Kharadi suggested different precautions to be made during COVID-19 for health and safety for students and staff. Principal Mr. D. K. Gupta extended heartiest thanks to Dr. Dinesh Khardi & Ms. Riddhima Sharma on behalf of Management and Staff of the school.

VKV-Hurda: Card Making Competition

The creativity and imagination was displayed by the students of classes III to V during the card making competition held on October 26, 2020. Total forty seven students participated in it.

The competition theme was Diwali and New Year celebration. Students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal, it was a wonderful sight to witness the creation of little ones who with their soft fingers weaved magic on the paper. This competition aimed in promoting creativity and self expressions among students.

VKV-Hurda: Diya Decoration Competition

As we all are aware of Covid-19 but still we can see a full festive fervour in the air. We had organized an online Diya decorating competition on October 28, 2020 for the students of classes VI to VIII. Fifty five students participated in the competition and they displayed their creativity by decorating the earthen lamp beautifully. Children also learned about the significance of lightening Diyas on Diwali festival.

VKV-Hurda: Pre-primary & Primary Remote Learning

Demo classes were organized for the pre-primary & primary students through remote learning according to the schedule provided by Capt. Jaspreet Kaur. The main objective of the demo class was to share innovative teaching learning practices.

Teachers displayed and shared multiple teaching methodologies like flash cards, puppets, models and different teaching aids. Classes were observed by Smt. Shashi Agarwal, Capt. Jaspreet Kaur, Resource person Smt. Anshu Dua, the Principals of all four LNJ Group schools, pre-primary teachers. After demo classes, feedbacks were given by Smt. Shashi Agarwal and Smt. Anshu Dua. They emphasized specially on pronunciation and also discussed about the teaching methods according to the age of the students and involvement of the students.

VKV-Hurda: Online Fit India Week

With reference to the CBSE Circular, an Online Fit India Week 2020 was celebrated at VKV-Hurda. Students were given instructions regarding various Exercises, Yoga and their benefits in daily life by the Physical Teachers. Virtual workshops were conducted and students made their own videos and also shared it with other students.

VKV-Hurda: Inter Class Rangoli Competition

Rangoli is an ancient art and tradition that is followed all over India. The Rangoli is said to have been derived from words “Rang and aavalli” which refers to a row of colours.

In order to develop skills of aesthetic, creativity and innovation among the students, an Inter Class Rangoli competition was organized for the students of classes V to VIII. Seventy five students participated in it and children were introduced to an Indian culture through such competitions. 

The students put up their aesthetic culture on display and it was a assortment of colourful array at the best. The students worked keenly at their designs and a Collage of best Rangoli’s was made for display purpose.

VKV-Hurda: Peace Club Meeting

A Zoom meeting of Peace Club was held on 9th November, 2020. This meeting was attended by the members of Peace Club, respected Principal Asha Goyal and Capt. Jaspreet Kaur. The meeting started with the self introduction of the Peace Club members and then continued the discussion on the topic “Peace”. 

What do they understand by the word “Peace”, its benefits or advantages in life, how a peaceful atmosphere can be created at home and in school, what steps should be taken, why it is necessary for children, how it can be implemented among the children.

Great and amazing ideas where put forth by the students. They also discussed and expressed their views on self-love, calmness, happiness, communication, sensitivity, ego etc. in promoting peace.

VKV-Hurda: Parents Teachers Meeting

PTM for classes VI to XII was conducted from October 27 to November 2, 2020. It was attended by all the class teachers and subject teachers along with the school Principal. The parents were keen to know about the performance of their wards. Their doubts were clarified and they were made aware about the strengths and weaknesses of their wards. Parents were informed about the upcoming Pre-Board examination and the question paper pattern.

The teachers advised the parents to motivate their children to be more alert and attentive during online classes. The parents were suggested to be in touch with the teachers. The school Principal Mrs. Asha Goyal also interacted with the parents and assured them that the studies for students would not be hampered at any cost.

VKV-Hurda: Bouquet Competition

Flowers are the ornaments of nature and now-a-days gardens are full of colourful flowers. To display the beauty of these jewels of nature, a flower arrangement competition was held on the 18th of December, 2020. Thirty two students from classes III to V participated with full of zeal and showcased their creativity with flowers. This competition brought out the creative skills and imaginations of school students.

VKV-Hurda: Salad Making Competition

The competition was open for the students from classes VI to VIII. It was held on the 19th of December, 2020 where forty six students participated in the competition. The objective behind the competition was to inculcate healthy food habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among youth.

The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth watering salad. The students displayed copious types of both vegetables and fruits salad. Combo & Jumbo salad with many more ingenious salads were made using commonly available ingredients.

This competition was held to show the importance of including salad in our regular diet for maintaining good health and keeping diseases at bay.

VKV-Hurda: CBSE Expression Series Competition

With reference to the Circular for the academic session 2020 from CBSE, the school organized a Painting Competition in “Expression Series on Art and Culture”. Eleven students of middle section (from class VI to VIII) participated with much gaiety. The topic was similarities in the Art and Culture of my State (Rajasthan) with the paired State (Assam). The Paintings of Khushi Jain, Tanishq Biswas and Diya Jangid – Class VIII were best among all.

VKV-Hurda: Christmas Celebration

Christmas was celebrated on 23rd & 24th December, 2020 with great fun and frolic. Tiny Tots of classes LKG to Second dressed in Red & White along with their teachers. The teacher dressed as Santa Clous and sang Christmas Carols. 

The children enjoyed the beats of jingle bells and wished Merry Christmas to their friends and teachers virtually. The significance of this festival was told to the students. Such celebrations bring happiness and togetherness among the students and also inculcate the spirit of sharing and giving in them.

Graphite School: Academic Activities & Achievements

Virtual Exams: In the month of October, half early examinations were conducted through digital mode. It was a great challenge for the school to conduct online exam through live streaming meeting channels. It isn't just about conducting exams digitally, but about ensuring error-free exams where the students have their integrity intact. For this special arrangements were done and more than five proctors were allocated for invigilation.

Back to School: From November 1st 2020, doubt clearing offline classes were started from 9th to 12th std. students. While reopening of school, we are following all the SOPs in school post COVID, as guided by Central & State Govt.

The remarkable achievement is that almost 80% strength of 10th, 11th, & 12th are attending these offline sessions. As a result of all the precautions we are taking, while conducting classes not even a single case of COVID-19 was identified. Also, school has conducted Pre-Board exam of class 10th & 12th in the month of December 2020 in offline mode.

Ku. Riya Soni of 2019 batch has qualified for MBBS through NEET exam. She got 100% scholarship for her entire medical studies under Medhavi Chatra Yojna of Madhya Pradesh state govt., she got this scholarship for securing 89.8% in class XII.

Mast. Gulshan Pal of Batch 2020 has qualified IHM entrance exam and took admission in Institute of Hotel Management, Ahmedabad, Gujrat.

Graphite School: Peace Club Activities

The motto of this Peace club is “Light A Candle Instead Of Cursing The Darkness”.

With the guidance and inspiration of Respected Shashi Agarwal, Peace club is constituted in Graphite School, the objective of this club that is adopted by providing a great way for students to turn commitment into action of non-violence. It can help students in connecting with others who are interested in peace. It’s a framework that promotes learning about peace and gaining skills to deal with conflict; and then putting those elements together to find ways to take action and make the world a better place.

On 2nd November the activities of Peace club were initiated by screening of a war based movie, which reflects upon the consequences of war and violence. The purpose of this activity was to sensitize students about Peace Building, Pros & Cons of War & benefits of Peace. Then on 21st of November, exclusive online yoga session was conducted for students of class 6th to 8th. The purpose was to help them to introspect and find Peace within self.

Graphite School: Online Navratri Celebration

Celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. We believe that young minds do not know about festivals and its importance so we make them aware of the festival and it’s importance. Children will remember an important day only if they are told about occasion’s significance, we try to make them aware of the world in a more fun way.

Each festival has its own cultural importance and young children are made to remember the festival by holding cultural programs like - Navratri by making them learn to dance to the tunes of Garba and thereby infuse in their minds the importance of gods and goddess.

On this occasion, students have shared their beautiful videos while performing Garba Dance, few students have shared their audios of Bhajan they sung to praise goddess Durga. In one of the event, many girls have shared their snaps in getup of Maa Durga. Such activities when performed by girl students, they feel the power of women.

Graphite School: Online Diwali & Children’s Day Celebration

With the objectives of involving art integrated learning and exploring the religious culture of Hindu festival, Diwali was celebrated at Graphite School with various cultural program like Bhajan Singing, Skit on ‘Utpatti of Shri Laxmiji from Samudra Manthan’, and skit on ‘Ram ka Ayodhya Agman’ classical dance on depicting the importance of Deep prajjwalan in hindu religion were performed by the students of all the classes and age group.

At the end of the programme, Principal of the school addressed the students for enjoying Deepawali with inner soul and not to indulge in materialistic show off. Students participated in the programme with great zeal & enthusiasm. The entire programe was compiled in a form of video by IT team of the school and was narrated by Ms. Bhawna Bhatt.

Graphite School: Online Christmas Celebration

Christmas is one of the biggest festivals celebrated around the world on the 25th of December every year. Christmas in India is celebrated with equal enthusiasm and passion as in other parts of the world.

Christmas is all about celebration & offers and on 23rd December 2020, this festival was celebrated at The Graphite School exclusively for Nursery to Grade V students. During this online celebration, certain competitions were conducted where children were taught to make hand-made gifts for others.

They took part in the food-drive, made cakes and other sweet dishes at home. Christmas tree, toys from old socks, and gift wrapping competitions were also conducted where students experienced the joy of giving to less fortunate ones focusing on their needs like blankets sweaters, foot wear etc.
