VKV Rishabhdev: Best Wishes for Grade 10 and Farewell for Grade 12 Organised

At  VKV, Rishabhdev, the farewell ceremony of class 12th and the good luck party for grade 10th was organised with great enthusiasm on 8th April 2022.

The program started with lighting the lamp and garlanding in front of Maa Saraswati. The students of classes 9 to 12 gave cultural presentations, enchanting group dances, solo dances and group songs. The students expressed emotions about the experiences and activities of school life from Nursery to 12. They also expressed gratitude to all the teachers, staff and Principal.

On this occasion, Miss Farewell was Shikha Jain and Mr Farewell was Rishabh Menaria.

Chief guest Mr K.B. Khatod encouraged the students of class10 and gave tips for success in life and extended good wishes for their bright future. He motivated the students to work hard to get the best results and to bring laurels to their parents, teachers and the school.

Prizes for scholastic and co-scholastic activities were given to the students. Principal, Mr D.K. Gupta wished all the very best to the students for their future course of action.

VKV Rishabhdev: Visit of Padma Shri Dr Kiran Seth

SPIC MACAY founder, Padma Shri Dr Kiran Seth, who set out on a cycle tour from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari, was welcomed by tilak, garlanding and saffron uparna during his visit at VKV Rishabhdev. A special assembly was organised on 9th April 2022 and Rajasthani welcome dance was presented by Mansi Pandya and Santoshi Dwivedi in honour of Dr Seth.

On this occasion, Dr Kiran Seth shared his experience about the Journey of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical And Culture Amongst Youth).

While addressing the students, he told how he achieved success in life by doing pranayama, yoga and staying focused. While interacting with the students on this occasion, he also responded very politely to the curiosities of the students.

Dr Seth felicitated students and teachers with appreciation certificates on this occasion. 

VKV Rishabhdev: WEBINAR ‘Lead the way to Inspire’

An online webinar was conducted by our alumni Mr Prasuk Gandhar Jain on ‘Lead the way to inspire’ on 14th May 2022. He explained his experience of school life and mentioned how the school helped him in his life. He explained about Karma Theory, Never Give up Theory, Never Complain to God, your first competitor is ‘nature’, Be humble theory etc. He also answered different questions raised by the students.

VKV Rishabhdev: Online Chess Workshop

An online workshop was conducted by our Chess Coach from 17th to 23rd May 2022. The main aim of conducting this workshop was to create interest in the students about the chess game. He explained the chessboard and pieces, opening rules, techniques etc. Students felt motivated after this workshop. 

VKV Rishabhdev: Scout & Guide Camp

Education is not just through books. It is a process of learning through a practical approach with a balanced profile and attitude. Skills are all about doing and feeling. The objective of a scout and guide is to offer an opportunity for the youth to grow, develop and practice the principles of togetherness and self-reliance. The environment helps to promote teamwork, leadership and unity.

A Scouts and Guides Camp was organised by VKV Rishabhdev from 28th May to 1st June 2022. The purpose of a scout and guide camp is more or less the same. It helps young people develop physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually. It is all about building confidence, self–esteem, learning important life skills and leadership skills, team building, education and fun!

The camp was organized in association with Bharat Scout and Guide, Udaipur. Mr Dinesh Jain, Secretary, Bharat Scout and Guide, Udaipur gave training to the students.

VKV Rishabhdev: Spic Macay ‘Kathak Workshop’

The objective of the theory and practical course in Indian Classical Dance, Indian Traditional Dance, Drama or Theatre forms is to acquaint the students with the literary and historical background of the Indian performing arts in general, arid dance drama form offered in particular. 

A fantabulous “Introductory workshop of KATHAK” by Spic Macay Artist Ms Jaya Bhatt from Delhi was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev from 17VKV Rishabhdev: Spic Macay ‘Kathak Workshop’th to 23rd May 2022. 17 students took training in this workshop and participation certificates were given to students.

VVV Maral: Admission Campaign

Vivekananda Vidya Vihar conducted a massive campaign as a part of mission admission in March 2022. As a part of this intervention team, Vivekanada Vidya Vihar conducted awareness campaigns for mass mobilization. Videos and Presentations flashing the school's success stories were screened through IIPs during the campaigning. The result of the campaigning has proven to be highly productive and fruitful as the parents have extended full faith and trust in the school.

VVV Maral: Summer Camp

A summer camp 2022 was organised in the Vivekananda Vidya Vihar campus from 24th April to 1st May 2022. The camp had been earnestly awaited by the students long time. The theme of the summer camp was "URJA SANKALAN". The message of the camp was to give the students an opportunity to learn new skills in Art and Craft, Dance, Music, Sports, and Spoken English. The participation of the students to learn self-defence through "Taekwondo" was a good learning experience. 

The exuberant learners zealously participated and showcased their diligence towards each planned activity of their choice. On the closing day, a plethora of cultural programmes were staged on 1st May. The overwhelming acknowledgement through reviews was a motivating factor for the entire Vivekananda Vidya Vihar family.

VVV Maral: Continuous Professional Development

A four-day faculty development program was held in Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar before the introduction of the new session 2022-23. School management organized “Heart Opening Sessions”  comprising SAIL (Sport & Art Integrated) sessions of different genres, including dance, art, music, sports and software training programs.

The Music session “Naad Se Anhad” concentrated on technical points of music-both notes (swar) and rhythm –associating beats/rhythm(laya) with the clapping and swar with the whistling. Teachers also learnt about the importance of music in life and the effect of music on the human body, which is also known as Music Therapy in the modern era.

The “Self-Identification by Art” session was focused on "Colour, Shape and Mind "elaborating on the effect of colour and shapes on the human mind. The motto of the class was to explain that, a painting can produce a healthy impact on our mind and body, thus it becomes a therapy of healing. The Instructor demonstrated a teacher-centric approach in the first half of the session to instruct all with the details and then followed a learner-centric approach to engross the participants in exploration and activity.

Dance Session “Trending Variety” was focused on the aspect of Differentiated learning as each child is unique and requires attention, opportunity and exposure in unique ways.

The sessions on Pedagogy, Lesson Planning and Learning Taxonomy were effectively conducted by Academic Director Capt Jaspreet Kaur. ERP and Mahatattva Digital training for teachers was conducted by School IT Coordinator and IT faculty.

VVV Maral: Chrysalis Curriculum Training Program

A Chrysalis training session was held in Vivekananda Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar in the month of June by the teachers. The training comprised a seminar that taught the teachers how to work efficient and productive for the students. The highlight of the session was understanding a child through the main domains of development (cognitive, social, emotional and meta-cognitive). The main focus of the session was to work on the Student’s learning outcomes like - what I will be able to do and what I can do.

"Yoga is the journey of Self, through Self to Self".

On International Yoga day and International Music, day school designed Rhythmic Yoga day for the students starting with the Nirvan Shatakam Stuti and shloka recitation followed by musical aerobics. Students performed Surya-Namaskar and five types of Pranayam. Further, the rhythmic day continued with community singing. Students and teachers all together enjoyed the singing. There were many solo performances by talented students of the school. The main attraction was the face-off activity, in which students in pairs performed “jugalbandi” in competition form. The program was concluded in the ecstasy of yoga and rhythm.

VVV Maral: Birthday Celebration of Staff

Birthday celebrations of staff members were celebrated by planting trees inside the school campus by them, to inspire the students to bring a sapling and plant on their birthday instead of distributing chocolates. 

VKV Hurda: Visit to Old Age Home

To show gratitude and respect towards the old people of our society. A visit to the old age home was organised on April 5th, 2022. Students of Classes XII & X along with the teachers (SDG Club members) visited the place.

An interactive session with the senior citizens was organised after the morning prayer. The residents shared their routines and experiences of life. Students got emotional after hearing them and pledged to take care of old people in their families and society. They decided to spend time with them thus helping them in overcoming their loneliness. Students shared and expressed their views with them.

VKV Hurda: Awareness on 17 Goals of Sustainable Development

Our Alumni Shubhanshi Rathore discussed the 17 goals of SDG with students and explained why all the goals have a specific series and are linked to each other, and how one person can make a difference even as a student. Students interacted and shared their ideas about the activities which can be conducted in school.

VKV Hurda: Cyber Club

The cyber club conducted the activity in which students of various classes participated. Where students were shown different parts (such as RAM, SMPS, Hard Disk, Mother Board etc.) of the CPU physically. How and where these are placed in the computer was shown practically which was also experienced by the students by doing it on their own.

VKV Hurda: Electoral Process Simulation

On 29/04/2022 elections were held for various posts, in which class 12 students participated enthusiastically. The election information using a voting list, ballet paper, describing the importance of voting, the students have voted by adopting all the election process.

VKV Hurda: Peace Club Activity

A debate was organized by the school’s Peace Club on the subject of establishing peace at the International level. The theme was the “Russia-Ukraine War”. The participants expressed their views confidently. While speaking in favour of the subject on the subject, one said that this crisis has arisen due to a lack of political understanding of Ukraine. The opponent team said that every nation has the right to choose its friend. Russia has no right to compel Ukraine.

In the end, the Principal of the school, Mrs Asha Goyal, encouraged the members of the Peace Club on their logical debate and felt proud that the Peace Club of our school is not only for the peace of the family, class, school, country as well as the world.

VKV Hurda: Music Club by Spic Macay

In the series of programmes by Spic Macay in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, the Hurda Sitar recital by Shri “Dhruv Bedi” was conducted. The audience was mesmerised by the Raga Aheer Bhairvi & Khamaj performed by Sitarist Shree Dhruv Ji accompanied by Jyoti Ji on tabla. The programme culminated with a vote of thanks and a motivational speech by Principal Ma’am.

VKV Hurda: Capacity Building Program

Four days Capacity Building Program was conducted for the teachers and the sessions were conducted by Academic Director Captain Jaspreet Kaur, in training, we learnt about the School Curriculum, Development Plan, 3H’S, Entry Ticket (ELO) and Exit Ticket (ALO) and the gap in the context to the student’s growth when moving from one standard to another, cumin models of language, Brick and Clap, teachers centric approach to student-centric approach by filling the learning gaps. Set rubrics, and great goals for curriculum development. We also learnt about the rating scale for assessing the current status of practicing pedagogical Leadership for leading learning. In the end, all the teachers shared & expressed their views. It is beginning with the self and reaching a new horizon for becoming global.

Graphite School: Micro light Flying Training

Flying Training was conducted on Microlight aircraft at State Hanger airport, Bhopal on 23rd - 24th June 2022. Five students from Class IX took part in the training. Each student learnt to fly a Microlight aircraft. They flew it for 15 minutes under the guidance of Co-wing commanders Mr Nishant Pawar and Mr Nirmal Yadav. Students were very enthusiastic as they had a new experience in life and also it boosted their confidence level. It was experiential learning of life and an example to soar in the sky of life.

Graphite School: NCC ATCI Camp

ATCI camp was organized by 2MP AIR SQN NCC at Bansal Engineering Institute, Bhopal. The students took part in the following activities for an enriching experience:

Plantation on World Environment Day was done by twenty-five students supported by an NCC officer to spread awareness about environmental factors required for the criticality of survival.

Achievement – Ms Yogita Mehra of class IX B won the 1st prize in the Solo dance competition during the camp activities.

Graphite School: Alumni Achievement

It is a proud moment for Graphite Higher Secondary School that one of our alumni students Ms Sheetal Vaishnav has been selected by two reputed companies Cognizant and TCS-Ninja. Her efforts have made her a role model for many.

Graphite School: Yoga Day Activity

Graphite Higher Secondary School organized Yoga for the wellness on the occasion of Yoga day in school premises. More than 200 students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Later a quiz was organized at the school campus in which nearly 100 students participated. This was followed by ‘Omkar’ chanting in the assembly hall. A total of 400 students participated in the chanting activity. The event was a huge success.

The major achievement being the students learnt about the importance of total well-being and how to lead a healthy lifestyle with the help of yoga regularly.

Graphite School: World Environment Day

Graphite Higher Secondary School conducted Plantation on World Environment Day. Under the guidance of Principal Mrs Swati Rahatekar and NCC officer Mr Nirmal Yadav. NCC students planted trees in school premises to spread awareness of planting trees. Class 1 to class 5 made greeting cards on the occasion and showed their knowledge of the environment and creativity. 

Graphite School: Father’s Day Activity

Graphite higher secondary school conducted Father’s Day for class Nursery to Class 5th on 20th June in school premises. Students showed their love and care for their father through various activities like card making, collage making and poem recitation. Students’ creativity and speaking skills were enhanced through this activity.

Graphite School: La-fruta-festa Activity

To encourage students of Nursery, KG1 and KG2 to eat and enjoy fruits, Graphite School conducted a fruits day celebration in the school premises. The Tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm and zeal through activities like tear and paste. The children also spoke about their favourite fruits and the teachers also explained the benefits of fruits in daily life.
