The most spectacular event of the year: The Investiture Ceremony was held on August 18, 2023, in the school's new auditorium. Also  a long cherished dream came true after months of planning, engineering, and hard work, the newly constructed Auditorium in the main school building was blessed and inaugurated. 

The inauguration of It confers responsibility on the students to develop leadership skills during their school years. It helps them to develop ideals and values that would aid them in life later on. 

The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ritual followed by welcoming the guest of honor, our esteemed members of the management committee with the sapling. Felicitation of the Student Council and House Council marked the most captivating moments of the ceremony. The Head Boy of the school administered the oath wherein the students pledged to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and dedication so as to uphold the glorious name of the school and the country. 

The Chief Guest Mr.Manish Gulati delivered an enriching speech that emphasized learning from failure as well as success, planning, confidence, teamwork, self-motivation, and respect. It was a day imbued with a sense of pride, humility, and leadership. 

The inauguration of the Auditorium and the release of the School Magazine by our chief guest added more glory and charm to our institution. The cultural fiesta commenced with a classical dance presentation that reflected all the cherished hues of our freedom and solidarity. 

The principal addressed the students with her valuable words and motivated them to be self-disciplined. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Head Girl.

GHSS: Schoolathon on Sustainability 2023 competition

Winner of the national level competition.

Students of GHSS participated in the SOS 'Innovation -In-Action' competition organized by  Manav Rachna University Faridabad. The team of GHSS presented a business idea of 'Eco-Sustainable Furniture manufacture using corrugated fiber board' and won Rs 50000/- as a cash prize.

GHSS: Science Competition at Regional Science Centre

Chandrayan-3 India's Moon Odyssey

As a  prelude to the launch of Chandrayan-3 by ISRO, Regional Science Centre, Bhopal organized an inter-school Audio Visual Quiz Competition to celebrate this landmark occasion on July 13, 2023 ..Over 80+ participants from the prominent schools of Bhopal participated in which 10 young Graphitians of classes IX to XII performed enthusiastically.It is a matter of pride that out of 10, 3 students of GHSS secured special positions and were felicitated with certificates, science kits and cash prize. Along with that students had interactive sessions with experts on Chandrayan-3. The winners were also appreciated by the principal in the morning assembly the next day.

MOON LANDING DAY International Moon Day Celebration 

On July 20,2023 students of Graphite Higher Secondary School celebrated International Moon Day at Regional Science Centre, Bhopal.

As a part of the celebration, a science movie film show was organized in which a film titled India's Space Programme: Past, Present, Future received from ISRO,was screened for the students Also an Audio-Visual Quiz competition was organised on the topic Mystries and Marvels of Moon in which 100+ students from various schools had participated, in which 10 young graphitians of classes VI to X performed enthusiastically. It's a matter of pride that out of 10, 1 student secured special position and was felicitated with certificate, science kit and cash prize.

GHSS: Teacher's Day celebration in the presence of Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala, CMD, HEG Ltd.

Teacher's Day was celebrated in the esteemed presence of Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala, CMD, HEG Ltd. The celebration at Graphite Higher Secondary School was commenced with a warm welcome to our esteemed Chief Guest Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala and Mr Manish Gulati, SMC President & ED, HEG Ltd. The Principal of GHSS, teachers, and students set the tone for a day filled with gratitude, appreciation and celebration.

The event began with a revered prayer symbolizing significance of the occasion. A floral tribute was paid to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by all the dignitaries’ followed by a brief presentation enlightening all on the importance of Teacher’s Day, emphasizing the role of educators in society.

The students greeted the teachers through a melodious song wishing them a happy Teacher’s Day. A captivating dance performance added vibrancy to the event.

The chief guest of the event Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala ji was felicitated with a token of appreciation for gracing the occasion with his presence. He delivered an inspiring speech, motivating teachers and students. Mr. Manish Gulati extended a warm welcome to the CMD and addressed the gathering acknowledging the commitment and dedication of Principal & teachers in the school.

Mrs Swati Rahatekar, Principal GHSS welcomed all esteemed guests and conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the teachers on the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day. This was followed by presentation of memento to all the teachers.

GHHS: Special program organized to empower educators

Session by S. Chand Publications for empowering educators (7/6/23)

To enhance professional development of teacher, Graphite school organised teacher training development program by S. Chand publication. Resource person Mr. Kuldeep Chouhan took a thorough training on NEP and NCF. It added value to teacher’s knowledge on detail of NEP and NCF curriculum along with classroom management.

2. The exhaustive sessions planned for explanation and demonstration of NCF FS during summer break for empowering teachers were executed between June 7 to June 15, 2023. These sessions were taken as a part of cooperative learning where each chapter of NCF/NEP was assigned to a group of two teachers. The teachers prepared on the given topic and explained to their peers in different innovative techniques.

VVV Maral Sarovar promoting inclusive education engaging students in social issue-based activities

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar promotes inclusive quality education through educative morning assemblies on topics related to sustainability development, health and well-being, gender equality, social media best practices, and more. Students engage in a variety of activities, such as Nukkad Natak, poetry writing and recitation, speeches, coordinate geometry, aerobics, musical performances, drama and dance performances, and social issue-based paintings. These assemblies encourage students to think creatively and come up with original ways to illustrate concepts, in addition to encouraging study and self-discipline.

SDG Club Monthly Activities

APRIL 2023 Solar Panels: The students of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar, formed the SDG Club Activities and took on the Yatharth Kushwah Project, an initiative to save electricity. As a result of this programme, pupils began using solar lamps and used less electricity. Yatharth was motivated to install solar panels in order to generate electricity in this endeavour by his father. The solar lamp outside the house was ordered and installed by them. That lamp also has a motion sensor, which causes the light to brighten when we pass in front of it. We discovered that by installing this light, we are saving 15-20% on electricity each month, and this is shown in the electricity bill as well. Friends & neighbors from Yatharth’s community are now taking interest in installing solar panels.

May 2023 Waste Collection & Treatment: Students took initiative for Management of Waste and keeping the surroundings clean. Aryan Sharma initiated the project, wherein students set up two 7x10x4-sized pits at a colony corner. Residents used these pits to gather trash. Students encouraged individuals to divide their non-disposable and disposable garbage with the use of these pits. After gathering the trash, students occasionally move it using a dust van (Kachra-Vahan). This noble initiative raised awareness of garbage collection and modified the social atmosphere.

Frequent Training programs and webinars were conducted for Teachers and students to ensure quality teaching and better learning.

  • Heart Opening Session, Day 1, on Jun 12, 2023

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar’s interactive Heart Opening Session was designed for the teachers, based on a Sports-Integrated Learning topic to teach the instructors how to play chess and to educate them on its advantages, under the able guidance of the athletic teachers from the school, Aneesh Yadav Sir and Akash Chouhan Sir.

  • Heart Opening Session, Day 2, Jun 13, 2023

A workshop was organized for Teachers’ Music Integrated Learning. This interactive workshop was meant to help teachers understand the basics of music - ‘Sur, Taal & Raag’, it’s ‘riyaz’ or practice and application of certain concepts in the field of teaching. The teachers, under the guidance of music coach Rishi Sir, were made aware of music as one of the most important art forms and its impact on our senses and spirit.

  • Heart Opening Session, Day 3, Jun 13, 2023 on June 14, 2023

This Interactive Workshop was for the teachers based on the theme - Dance Integrated Learning enabling teachers to explore the world of dance. The workshop was conducted by Rohit Sir, the school’s dance teacher. The teachers learned about music, rhythm and beats, about the origins of popular dance form ‘Hip- Hop’ and the various health benefits of Dance that include a stable heart rate, blood pressure, flexibility, muscular endurance and the release of the happy hormones.

Aspecialworkshopwas organized to optimize and update the teaching practices used by teachers according to the principles of Age Specific learning conducted by Nirmal Bhatnagar Sir who is a professional educational consultant and counselor. Age specific learning involves assessing a child’s level of understanding, identifying readiness of a child to learn and then following the best suited method of teaching to ensure correct progress and development of a child.

Based on the theme - Mind your Q’s, an interactive workshop was organized to help the teachers deepen their understanding about the theory of multiple intelligence and its implication in schools and education. The workshop was conducted by Gaurav Solanki Sir from Mentor. The teachers were introduced to 10 Q’s or 10 forms of intelligence present in individuals, young or old and the importance of developing these within oneself and the students of our school. They were encouraged to be proactive thinkers and make the students in the class proactive thinkers and leaders with alternative thinking capacities.

  • Teachers Session on Psychological Wellness:

A psychological wellness session was organized for the teachers and staff of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar. Dr. Ali Hussaini, an Assessment Psychologist, Therapist & Counsellor associated with IIM, Indore, conducted the session. The teachers discussed the challenges they face in their work and personal lives, such as time management, stress, work-life balance, goal setting, and navigating relationships with students, colleagues, and superiors. Dr. Hussaini counseled the teachers on many issues including handling occupational stress, cultivating a positive outlook, managing emotions, empathetic relations with co-workers among many others.

  • A sports workshop was conducted at Emerald Heights International School where Mr. Jerry Nash, Chairman of the Chess in education commission (FIDE), came to India and conducted an Interactive workshop on chess as an educational tool.
  • Vivekians participated in NSSCK Table tennis competition 2023-24 in which U-19 Girls team secured 2nd place and was awarded with silver medal whereas the U-14 boys team beat the table and secured Gold in their division.
  • Under the banner of Narmada Sahodaya Schools Cluster, Khargone Chess Competition was conducted on July 19, 2023, Saturday at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar. School student Ishan Rathod got the 2nd position in U-17 (Boys), Kyara Gupta got the 3rd position in U-17 (Girls).
  • Vivekians achieved milestones of gold, silver and bronze in all six categories of SGFI State Level Netball Competition from 14-09-2023 to 19-09-2023 at VR Garden Indore.
  • SGFI District Level Netball Tournament at Priyadarshini Public School Borawa, Khargone on 28/08/2023, Where 35 students from V.V.V.MOL selected to represent Khargone District in Division Level Competition.
  • Students Riya Mukati and Akshara Tanwar displayed great talent at the 41st Senior Women’s National Netball Championship.

Inter-School Participation

  • Students of GHSS participated in the SOS ‘Innovation-In-Action’ competition organized by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. The team of GHSS presented a business idea of ‘Eco-sustainable furniture manufactured using corrugated fiber-board’.
  • On the occasion of International Tiger Day, Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organized an Inter-school skit competition on the theme ‘BAAGH BACHAO’- students of GHSS actively participated and were felicitated with certificates.
  • The commerce stream students of GHSS participated in an inter school competition named COMM-FLUENCE - BEYOND ALL LIMITS organized by Delhi Public School, Kolar on the occasion of Commerce Day celebration. Students participated and secured special positions in an AD making show and Corporate Ramp Walk Show.
GHHS: Experiential Learning By Excursions
  • A special Nature Study cum trekking camp at Kullu, Himachal Pradesh from May 7, 2023 to May 19,2023, attended by 30+ students.
  • Five enthusiastic young learners of GHSS attended the 8th International Convention of SPIC MACAY organized at VNIT, Nagpur, from May 29, 2023, to June 4, 2023, in appreciation of the deeper values of Indian classical art forms.
  • A five day experiential learning workshop was attended by GHSS students from May 10th to 14th at Nardep Centre, Kanyakumari, experiencing holistic learning on topics like making compost, organic architecture, rainwater harvesting, Ferro cement technology, etc.
  • Young Graphitians of classes IX to XII enthusiastically attended the astronomy workshop on April 22, 2023 organized by Aryabhatt Foundation, Bhopal that enhanced their astronomical knowledge and inculcated scientific temperament in them.
  • The young Graphitians got flying training of Micro-light Virus VT 80-HP aircraft by Group captain R.S. Jadhav (commanding officer, Bhopal) and learned techniques of ATC landing, ATC takeoff, runway, taxiway etc.
  • Zero shadow activity and Eratosthenes experiment was conducted in the Graphite school premises on April 17, 2023, where the students of classes IX & X participated enthusiastically and experienced the marvel of Physics.
  • Over 110 Students of Graphite Higher Secondary School registered their presence in the G-20 Innovation Festival 2023, between 11-13 April 2023 at Regional Science Centre Bhopal.
GHHS: Achievements In Science & Technology
  • On April 12, 2023, students participated in a Science Model Contest organized by the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, as part of the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s MSME department’s Innovation Festival-2023. The students made working models of hydroponics and gave presentations. They also confidently answered questions from visitors and specialists from scientific and research institutes. The students secured special positions and were felicitated with certificates.
  • On July 13, 2023, 10 students from Graphitians participated in the CHANDRAYAN-2 Inter-school Audio-Visual Quiz organized by the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, to celebrate the launch of CHANDRAYAN-2. The students competed with over 80 students from other prominent schools in Bhopal and secured special positions. They were felicitated with certificates.
  • On July 20, 2023, to celebrate Moon Day, the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, organized a MOON LANDING Inter School Audio-Visual Quiz on the topic “Mysteries and marvels of moon”. 10 young Graphitians participated enthusiastically in the quiz and competed with over 100 students from other prominent schools in Bhopal. One student from Graphitians secured a position and was felicitated with certificates, a science kit, and a cash prize.
GHSS: NCC Activities and Other Sports
  • Students participated in MAN KI BAAT: MARATHON SEMINAR organized by NCC, Bhopal, On August 25, 2023
  • On September 9, 2023 more than 50 NCC Cadets from Graphite Higher Secondary School participated in Essay Writing Competition organized by DGNCC, New Delhi under PUNIT SAGAR ABHIYAN G-20 CELEBRATION, to spread awareness about water conservation.
  • Graphite School students attended the 1st batch of Junior division Air Wing NCC camp at Bansal College Bhopal held between September 13 to 22, 2023. School students were enlisted in UNIT 2MP AIR SQN BHOPAL. Indian Air Force Man and (NCC officer) gave training to the cadets.
  • GHSS students regularly participate enthusiastically in sports activities like Kho-kho, Hockey, Cricket, Chess, Karate, Pencak Silat & Kabaddi etc.
  • Students have won Silver & Bronze medals in state level Karate Championship organized by State Games Federation of India at Datia, MP

GHSS: Sustainability Development Activities

GHSS Students observed the Earth Day Celebration and initiated a movement to promote use of paper bags and avoid the use of plastic bags.

In order to give back to the environment and spread happiness among the underprivileged children, Graphitians launched the initiative HAR HAATH KITAB. They collected unused pages from their old notebooks, bound them, and made new notebooks. These notebooks were then distributed to children in a nearby government school. Students also executed a Botanical Garden & Sustainable Plantation Drive MADHUKUNJ.

GHSS: Advancing co-scholastic approach for continuous professional development
  • As a part of the active CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, GHSS organized exhaustive In-house Trainings & Workshops to empower the teachers and enable their holistic skill development.
  • For the Junior wing, activity a day has been introduced for reducing bag load.
  • An initiative was taken by the Junior-wing teachers to paint the corridor with new designs and patterns which will attract the students as well as can be used for learning by fun activities.
  • For student motivation we introduced the “STAR OF THE WEEK’ badge to students (Nursery to II) who showcase some significant positive change in that week.
  • A Birthday Corner (for Pre Primary Kids) has been developed in the activity room with a view to celebrate the birthday with the entire class thereby students feel special as well as learn the birthday song. They also get motivated to not skip school on their birthdays. They are motivated to plant a sapling on their birthday.
  • Summer Bonanza- Fun Under the Sun organized on the last working day of April before summer vacation, where students enjoyed the last working day of school in a playful manner.
  • Zumba / Aerobics classes for the students are organized for enhancing their physical agility.

Experiential Learning

Robotics is taught to school children as a part of its curriculum, as an effective AI tool encouraging students to really “do” science and mathematics rather than just learn about it.

Special Pottery Workshop was organized on 23rdAugust, 2023 in school.Students were captivated by the mesmerizing spinning of the wheel, while the concept of SDGs was introduced through discussions on responsible resource use and craftsmanship.

VKV Hurda: Sports & Other Co-Scholastic Activities
  • The 67th District Level Chess Competition hosted by VKV Hurda from September 19 to 22, 2023 was a successful event inaugurated on 19.09.2023 by Assistant District Education Officer Bhilwara, Chief Block Education Officer and all other Government Officials. It concluded with loads of enthusiasm on 22.09.2023. The winning team was awarded trophies and certificates by the Chief Guest SDM, Gulabpura and CEO RSWM Shri N. K. Bahedia.
  • Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda organized an outstanding event of “Inter School Athletic Meet” on August 26, 2023. Eleven schools of Ajmer and Bhilwara districts along with 125 participants, took part in the event.
  • A cross country racing event was organized in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Hurda on 23rd of August 2023 to provide a platform to young athletes to showcase their athletic talent.
  • VKV Hurda team proved their mettle once again at the District Shooting Competition at Bhilwara and won the School Shooting Championship Trophy by securing First Position. Five of our students of class 7th and 8th have been selected to represent Rajasthan in the upcoming State Shooting Championship from October 9th to 14th, 2023.
  • Our Football Team played very well till Semi-Finals, but could not make it in the finals. We will be working on it so that next time they can do better.
  • To foster musical potential in students, the school organized a number of music workshops.

As a part of the co-scholastic initiatives, the school promoted Collaboration of Resources on critical agenda e.g. Matter in our surroundings or How to stimulate ownership by students toward Self learning of LSRW Skills.

REPORT - INTER SCHOOL ATHLETIC MEET AND CROSS COUNTRY RACE

Sports and athletics play an integral part in the holistic development of the students. Keeping it in mind Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda organised an outstanding event of “Inter School Athletic Meet” on August 26, 2023. Eleven schools of Ajmer and Bhilwara districts along with 125 participants, took part in the event.

The event began with the warm welcome of the Chief Guest SMC Chairman Shri N.K. Bahedia Sir with the soulful mantra chanting. After the lamp lighting ceremony the chief guest addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of sports for the overall holistic development and encouraged students to participate actively in such events. Principal Ma'am delivered an inspiring speech, mentioning the vision and guidance of our Respected Bade Babuji for holistic development with emphasis on Athletics, Chess, Football, Astronomy and Space Study integrated with the values of teamwork, discipline, and dedication that sports instills in young minds.

The event concluded with a grand award ceremony, where winners were honoured with medals, certificates and cash prizes by the dignitaries, Education Officer Hurda and Mr. N.K. Bahediya Sir. The 'School Championship' was won by 'Swami Vivekananda Model School Shahpura'. All escorts were given memento as tokens of appreciation. The eminent guests appreciated the efforts of the School Management for organising such event and motivated the students to contribute in building a healthy and developed nation.

VKV Hurda emerged as proud host and participants, securing top positions in several events.

The Inter-School Athletic Meet was a resounding success, promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and the spirit of healthy competition. The joy and enthusiasm among the participants reflected the success of the event in fostering healthy competition and building lasting memories.

Central meeting on 5th & 6th October, 2023 Co-Scholastic Activities & Achievements

  • The Under 19 Chess team secured 1st rank in the CBSE West Zone chess championship and was selected for the national championship.
  • Under 14 team secured 1st rank in the RBSE District chess championship and Dhruvin Jain secured 3rd rank in the individual format and was selected for the state championship.
  • 94 promising students play chess regularly and we have attended 17 chess tournaments including intra/inter-school/district/state/ national/international level reputed/rated chess tournaments.
  • Both Boys & Girls from the school participated in the 67th RBSE State Chess Tournament-2023 in KV, Rishabhdev (Udaipur)
  • In Archery the school has given two National/ State Level Players, Rohini Damor (Grade-8), Varshika Choudhary (Grade 7) and other five students participated in District level Tournament. The school would take initiative to train more state/national level players within 2 years and motivate more students to play chess regularly
  • The Sports Gurukul (TSG) coach is preparing and guiding the school team for Volleyball/ Football/Cricket and also working with 10 promising players and 50 players in general in Badminton. CLAY POTTERY WORKSHOP

“Pottery is not only the work of hands but the creation of heart, shaping beauty from earth’s embrace”.

The V.K.V Hurda Art Club conducted an exciting pottery making workshop on 23rd of August 2023. The event aimed to introduce students to the art of pottery, including the mechanics of the pottery wheel and the significance of working with clay. This camp also incorporated elements aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting both artistic creativity and environmental consciousness. The camp was led by the experienced and talented Mr. Prajapati, who guided the students throughout the day.

  • The School is planning to organize a Trashion Show at a higher level.
  • As a part of the proposed sustainability development initiatives, the school has planned to make compost pit and to plant a bio methanation plant at near by town Rishabhdev Collaborating the local authorities i.e. Municipal Committee.
  • Students are going to attend a workshop on Endangered Craft in the upcoming months.

A REPORT ON CHANDRAYAAN - 3

VKV Hurda Space Club students observed, compiled the information on Chandrayaan–3 Mission developed and launched by ISRO and displayed the details on the Space Club Bulletin Board.

Club members explained the objective and details of the Chandrayaan’s structural model, its landing process, the concepts of Physics involved in the mission and also the usage of advanced technology, thereby celebrating National Space Day on 23rd of August every year to mark the great technological success. Through Chandrayaan-3, India will showcase its technological prowess, scientific capabilities, and its commitment to space exploration. This will further strengthen India's position in the global space community and will inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

VKV Hurda Commerce Club organized an Advertisement based Activity on September 4, 2023 - Ad-Mad competition which was a creative and engaging event that challenging the participants to create and present advertisements for various products or services. It served as a platform for students of class 11 and 12 in the Commerce stream to showcase their marketing, communication, and creative skills.

The primary purpose of the Ad-Mad competition was to Foster creativity and innovation in advertising among students. Encouraging participants to think critically and develop persuasive communication skills, providing a platform for students of class 11 and 12 in the Commerce stream to express their creativity and marketing talents and to promote teamwork and collaboration among students.

“The ozone layer: A shield of hope for brighter future”

SDG Club members organized a Skit and Group discussion on Climate Action – SDG Goal – 13 particularly to the issue of ozone depletion. The students explained the importance of Ozone Layer and its depletion, leading to exposure of harmful UV Rays. Raising awareness and educating the students about the link between green house gases, global warming and ozone depletion they explained about various gadgets which release CFCs and by addressing the emission of these gases, can contribute to both protecting the ozone layer and mitigating climate change.

“CBSE WORKSHOP ON LEARNING OUTCOMES AND PEDAGOGIES”

A  CBSE workshop on learning outcomes and Pedagogies was organized and hosted by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda on 11th April, 2023 under the guidance of the principal Mrs. Asha Goyal who came up with an idea of grooming teachers with learning objectives, outcomes and Pedagogies. Teachers of V.K.V, Zinc Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya had the privilege of attending this workshop. Smt. Piyush Trivedi PGT English was the co-ordinator of the event. 

The session started with mantra chanting and welcoming the guests, Resource Person Mrs. Reeta Bhargava Principal MPS Jaipur, Mr. Sumit Goyal Principal Orange Country, Udaipur.  The session was initiated by Principal Ma’am showing a video on how every child is unique.

Resource Person Ms. Rita Bhargava explained the meaning of pedagogy with well defined  intended learning outcomes, Instructional practices in classroom, Measuring learning outcomes and Reflection. She also emphasized on various pedagogical approaches and activity based learning.

A five day Training Session to Vivekanand Kendra Rock Memorial and NARDEP – Kanyakumari was conducted for our Group Schools from May 10 to 14, 2023 at NARDEP, is an integral project of Vivekanand Kendra Kanyakumari inspired by vision – “Isavasyamidamsarvam” – combining holistic solution of modern timing.

This Training Camp was planned under the guidance of Respected Sri Vasudeoji Secretary Vivekanand Kendra Kanyakumari for the SDG Club members of Group Schools. In all 20 members attended the camp and had hands on experience for IPM, water harvesting, energy harneshing, photo remediation and herbal medicines.

The new XII standard students gave the outgoing XII standard batch of the year 2022-23 a farewell party to remember. The outgoing XII standard students received handmade cards and gifts from their juniors. They also received gifts on behalf of the school and a few special awards were handed to a few special students. Friendships, Nostalgia, and Gratitude would be the best words to describe the mood of the evening.

World Music & World Yoga Day - Vivekanand Vidya Vihar observed a special event to celebrate World Music & World Yoga Day. The students and teachers gathered at the 'Nakshatra Vatika'. All the students then meditated and performed the Surya Namaskar.

The musical session that followed was simply perfect to channel the energy, focus, and calm state of mind the students and teachers were in. The school's music teacher spoke about a few practices and principles of music and its nature and beauty. He then demonstrated it with the help of the 'Tabla' and the 'Harmonium'.

Continuous Professional Development Workshop, June 2023 – Heart Opening Sessions - Vivekanand Vidya Vihar recently organized a series of interactive workshops as part of their Continuous Professional Development program for teachers. The workshops covered various themes, including chess, music-integrated learning, dance-integrated learning, age-specific learning, cooperative learning structure, multiple intelligence, and mind mapping. Each workshop aimed to provide teachers with valuable knowledge and skills relevant to their teaching practices and student engagement.

These workshops proved to be highly beneficial for the participating teachers. In the chess workshop, teachers gained insights into the game's origins and discovered its benefits in enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teachers Session on Psychological Wellness: A Psychological Wellness Session was organized for the teachers and staff of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar,conducted by Dr. Ali Hussaini, who is an Assessment Psychologist, Therapist & Counsellor associated with IIM, Indore.

During the session, teachers actively engaged by discussing the challenges they face in their work and personal lives, including topics such as time management, stress, work-life balance, goal setting, and navigating relationships with students, colleagues, and superiors.

Dr. Hussaini counseled the teachers on handling occupational stress, cultivating a positive outlook by viewing challenges as opportunities, managing emotions, and emphasizing the importance of understanding others. The teachers also gained insights into the psychological development of children, identifying their competitive strengths through behavior, and the significance of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and social awareness for individual success. The teachers were also cautioned about the dangers of gadget addiction, instant gratification, and self-created mental barriers. The interactive session, which included various activities and tests facilitated a better understanding of the concepts, and the teachers gained a lot of insight regarding the importance of psychological well being.

Guru Purnima, 03 July 2023 - On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima the students of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar organized a special assembly honor their teachers and role models who they consider to be their ‘Guru’s’.The assembly began with ‘Guru Pujan’ followed by a serene meditation session. The school's choir group enthralled the audience with a soulful musical performance dedicated to the teachers. A drama highlighting the pivotal role of a teacher in a student's life, depicting the transformative journey of a student who finds guidance and inspiration from a wise and dedicated teacher, was performed. A wonderful dance performance brought beauty and grace to the celebration. The Guru Purnima celebration at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar School served as a reminder to cherish and honor the invaluable role of teachers in society. It also highlighted the importance of fostering strong teacher-student relationships to promote holistic education and personal growth.

Vocational Skill Course - The students of classes 6th to 9th have been introduced to a new vocational course on sewing. This skill course offers numerous benefits, including enhanced hand-eye coordination and improved motor skills which enable the body to generate new brain cells. However, the most significant aspect is the sheer joy of creativity. This course provides comprehensive knowledge of both basic and advanced sewing techniques, covering various types of stitching and hand embroidery. This will empower students to create beautiful items like handkerchiefs, sling bags, and tablecloths. Moreover, they will also learn the art of embroidery on khadi fabric, adding a unique touch to their creations.

VVV Maral Sarovar: District Level Chess Competition among 17 schools

Narmada Sahodaya Schools Cluster Khargone District Level Chess Competition - Vivekanand Vidya Vihar hosted the CBSE Sahodaya District Level Chess Competition. The competition had about 84 participants from over 17 schools, which is proof of the popularity of the game. 

The Competition began with an opening ceremony where the participants took an oath to compete fiercely yet with the utmost integrity. The students were briefed about the rules following which four rounds of matches were played where the victors progressed to the next round until the champions of each category emerged. The Arbiters team from Soni Chess Club Indore were felicitated and appreciated for their contribution to the successful execution of the event.  Vivekanand Vidya Vihar’s very own Ishan Rathore won Silver in the U-17 category.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Special parent counseling session with Counsellor-psychologist Dr. Ali Hussaini

With this thought in mind, Vivekanand Vidya Vihar organized a special PTM where School Counsellor-psychologist Dr. Ali Hussaini conducted a parent counseling session. He spoke about important factors and challenges that affect the students' behavior at home and ways of bringing about a permanent change in the students' behavior patterns. The parents were expertly guided towards building strong and positive relationships with their children. Parents shared their challenges and possible solutions were suggested and factors hidden from the eye were revealed. The parents attended in large numbers and were very happy with the session.

The effects of the session could be seen instantly, as parents were more appreciative of the teaching-learning process and were more accommodating towards any shortcomings, having complete faith in the teachers, the school, and their own children to turn things around. 

VVV Maral Sarovar: Independence Day Celebration special event

Independence Day Celebration - On the 15th of August as the Nation Celebrated the 77th Independence Day. Vivekanand Vidya Vihar organized a special event to celebrate this landmark moment and unveiled its next group of student representatives of the school, SDG, House and Class councils through the Investiture Ceremony.

Following which the Investiture ceremony commenced. It was a marvelous spectacle watching these young individuals march together, sincerely recite their oaths and promise to be responsible leaders in various areas of the school activities as Head Boys & Girls, Sports & Cultural Captains, SDG & Class Council Members. A proud moment for the students and their parents.

A sense of Patriotism was instilled through a few precious words of wisdom by our special guest Mr. P. K Devdra, Auditor at LNJ Bhilwara Group and the chief guest Mr. Satyanarayan Goyal, President of Maral Overseas Limited.  

VVV Maral Sarovar: District Level Dance Competition organized

Narmada Sahodaya Schools Cluster Khargone District Level Dance Competition - On the 21st of August Vivekanand Vidya Vihar was honored to host the NSSCK District Level Dance Competition. The competition saw over 17 schools participate with the utmost enthusiasm.. 

Students of the host school Vivekanand Vidya Vihar danced as non-competing school. The well choreographed graceful performance left the audience enchanted and completely dazzled. The theme of the dance competition was patriotism, and the performance uplifted the essence and spirit of patriotism through their marvelous performances. 

The Sahodaya Chairman, Renu Rai Madam and the Sahodaya Secretary, Akhilesh Patidar Sir along with a few other notable dignitaries expressed their delight and gratitude after witnessing such an amazing dance competition. The dance competition was an absolute spectacle and every participating school deserves praise for putting up such beautiful performances. It was a day to marvel at the budding talents of the district and to celebrate the essence of patriotism.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Hindi debate competition

Hindi debate competition organized under the aegis of Narmada Sahodaya School Cluster - Hindi debate competition was organized under the aegis of Narmada Sahodaya School Cluster. The competition was organized in two categories, senior and junior, for senior students - "What is in the interest of the country in the current political scenario." And for the junior category, "Educational qualification is necessary for politicians." Topics were given. 60 students from 15 schools participated in the competition.

Vivekananda Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar was represented in the competition by Ms. Hansika Joshi, Ms. Siddhi Patil, Ms. Kyara Gupta, and Ms. Jagriti Patel did it. The students strongly presented their case in the House by countering the arguments of their opponents with their own coherent arguments.

After listening to all the participants, the jury announced the winners in which Miss Jagriti Patel was chosen as the second winner for her presentation in opposition to the topic and was given a medal and certificate. All other participants were given participation certificates. 

VKV Rishabhdev: Celebration of World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day was celebrated on 18th April, 2023 which is also known as the International Monuments and Sites Day, celebrates the work carried out by the ICOMOS – International Council on Monuments and Sites. The day is all about increasing the awareness of the importance of the diversity of cultural heritage and preserving it for generations in the future.

So on this day, the team of VKV took the students for a "VISIT TO STEPWELLS OF RISHABHDEV" Students were curious to know about such as why they are called stepwell. Why is it situated so deep?

Students were writing their report as a project work in SOCIAL SCIENCE. As it is rightly said Excursions are the PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE as we can't bind the students to the classroom walls only. We should explore our students by talking to them for such outings.

VKV Rishabhdev: Earth Day celebrated

"EARTH DAY" was celebrated on 21st April 2023 at VKV, RISHABHDEV with captivating class activities. Teachers were open to in act any activity like skits, poster making, etc. The board of every class was beautifully decorated. Students with their class teachers decorated their class on the theme SAVE EARTH.

SPIC MACAY

A mesmerising programme of SPIC MACAY was organised at VKV, RISHABHDEV on 15th of April. The special guest was Mr.Manas Kumar who is a violinist.His major achievements:

Students enjoyed the coordination between Violin and tabla. Various songs were sung on violin like padharo mhare desh me…, Raghupati ra gava raja ram…, shyam bhajans etc. Students understood the BEAUTY OF MUSIC. Everyone was so mesmerized that all started singing with the music.

VKV Rishabhdev: Mother’s Day Celebration

There’s no doubt that mothers are important figures in our lives. They teach us, guide us, influence us, and cheer us on. Note that not all of us have mothers in the traditional sense and may turn to other family members or loved ones for advice, support, or encouragement. So, this Mother’s Day, let us celebrate not only the women who gave birth to us but also the amazing role models who have enriched our lives.

MOTHER'S DAY was celebrated at VKV, RISHABHDEV with full zeal and Splendor on the 12th of May. It was a class activity so all students participated in it and expressed their love for MOTHER.

Students prepared CARD/JEWELLERY/Handmade purses for their mothers as Cards allow students to express gratitude and appreciation for the mother who is the caregiver in their lives. It’s also an opportunity for students to get creative!

A few students prepared beautiful jewellery with a necklace and earrings set.it is also a great way to express their creativity and love. Mostly girls took part in it.

Some students prepared handmade bags/purses for their mothers as a gift for Mother’s day. They purchased colorful papers, decorative articles, etc.by their own.

Green Day Celebration

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, Green Day was celebrated for classes from Nursery to II. All the students were dressed in green dresses and even brought food of green color. Through this celebration, students tried to connect with nature and learn the importance of nature, especially trees.

Lemonade Party

On July 23, 2023, a Lemonade Party was organized for the students of class Nur.-II. This activity was organized to create a joyful environment and make students learn about the Properties of lemonade and some more healthy drinks. It also helped to enhance cognitive, listening, speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Model Conference of Parties

Two of our students Ms.  Yukti Jain and Ms. Nehal Jain Represented Rajasthan at the Model Conference of Parties at New Delhi. It was organized by WWF.  (World Wild Life Fund). The main purpose of the conference was to bring countries together to discuss and coordinate efforts to combat climate change.

VKV Rishabhdev: Inter-house Ad Enactment Competition

Inter house Ad Enactment Competition was conducted on 23 August, 2023 in Classes 6 to 12 during CCA periods to encourage creativity, teamwork, and communication skills by having students create and perform their own advertisements to aware about SDG. Competition was conducted in two groups i.e. Junior group and senior groups. Judgment was done by a panel of judges. 

Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition and Tag Board Decoration

For the celebration of TV Raksha Bandhan and simultaneously promoting SDG awareness among students, the school took the initiative and organised an Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition for the students of classes III to XII. The three best rakhis were selected to be awarded and the other rakhis were beautifully displayed on the tag board.

On the occasion of teacher’s day there was a Joyous celebration that initiated with the lighting of lamp by Principal Ma'am and DEO Ma'am after this the SDG theme for the month was  disclosed I.e. quality education. Then the teachers were honoured with 'Tilak' And 'Nariyal'. To take the event further, various activities were presented , like poems, speech, songs etc.  Special activity 'Pehchan Kaun'? was conducted That rewind the memories when teachers were once students. To conclude the day various fun activities were conducted for teachers and the celebration was ended by teachers' oath.

VKV Rishabhdev celebrated Krishna Janmashtami

Special assembly- Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness, and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu.

According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh, or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated in the premises of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev on September 6th, 2023 with mirth and joy.

The program was coordinated by Vishwamitra house .

The celebration began with the lighting of lamp by the Principal Ma'am Mrs. Vijayshree Yadav.

The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The school premises was decorated beautifully.

Students, along with the teachers worshiped Lord Krishna. The celebration offered homage full of devotion to Lord Krishna through Shri Krishna Aarti by the Principal Ma'am and all the teachers.
