RSWM-Kharigram: Training on Safety Practices at Workplace

A Safety awareness program was conducted on February 15, 2024, which was presented by Sh Dileep Chourasia, Safety Sr. Manager. Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Commercial and Production departments were covered in this programme. The topics covered were Fire Fighting, Evacuation Plans, Emergency Exit, Assemble methods and many more. He educated all personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond to different emergencies.

RSWM-Kharigram: Awareness session on HR Policy

To update about revisions in the HxR manual about employee benefits, an awareness program was conducted by HR department on 22nd February 2024. During this program, all aspects of Employee Benefits were covered. A total of 31 staff members got benefited from this programme and they encouraged to organise such awareness sessions periodically.

RSWM-Kharigram: External Training on Electrical Safety & Emergency Preparedness

An external training program on Electrical Safety & Emergency Preparedness was organized on March 7, 2024, which was presented by Sh Anurodh Prashant( External Safety Expert and Auditor). The staff of various departments like the Engineering, Maintenance, Security, and Production departments were covered in this program. During the session, the covered topics were Fire Fighting, Safety at the Workplace, Tools Handling, and response during emergencies.

RSWM-Kharihram: Training on Group Mediclaim Policy

An awareness session was conducted by the HR department on the subject “Group Mediclaim Policy" on January 8, 2024. Sh Deepak Kumar Ojha-HR explained the various process steps of the mediclaim process like TPA, Process Flow, Coverage, eligibility, use of the mobile application, online claim process, etc in this program. All participants acquired good knowledge through this program.

RSWM-Kharigram: External Training Program Time Management

An external training program on Time Management was organized on February 6, 2024, which was presented by Dr. Rakesh Premi and Welcome by S K Tiwari, Dy. COO. Senior’s Staff of various departments like Engineering, Maintenance, Security, CCD,CFD, Accounts and Production departments were covered in this programme. During session, the covered topics were –Time Management, Decision Making, How to Feel Motivated, and many more.

RSWM-RSPF: Fire Drill Sessions

To spread awareness among staff and workmen, 3 fire drills were conducted on Jan 25, 2024, Feb 25, 2024, and Mar 25, 2024, on a Dry Drill and Wet Drill basis. Drills were conducted under the supervision of the Safety Officer, during the drill, several fire safety activities were performed and the process of mitigating emergency was explained.

RSWM-Knits: Safety Training

The training was given on safety measures on which live demo was given on how to control fire under the guidance of Mr. Sukhdarshan Sir.


RSWM-Mandpam: Training Program on Fire & Safety

A training programme on Fire & Safety was organized by the Mandpam Unit on March 18, 2024. The main objective was to clarify the role of industrial safety and how its importance in day-to-day working. Shri Anil Kumar (Sr. Engineer – Fire & Safety) was the faculty for this training program.

HEG: CII Visit for Practical Industry Training

A visit was organized at HEG Ltd with a group of 30 members of CII on February 9, 2024.

These visits provided a practical and hands-on learning experience, allowing the industry to observe and understand world-class manufacturing processes, technologies, and quality practices.

Exposure to different manufacturing facilities can inspire innovation and creativity by introducing new technologies, processes, and best practices that can be adapted and applied to our industry.

This visit included the Presentation of the Complete process of Manufacturing Graphite Electrode in our plant followed by the Plant Visit.

HEG: Industrial Visit by Students of Oriental College

To give industrial exposure to the students of Oriental College, HEG gave a chance to the students to visit our organization and gain the learnings regarding the overall general process of Electrode Manufacturing.

This gives a platform for the students to groom themselves and can fill them with the core knowledge about the manufacturing process.

HEG always encourages the learning and development of the students as well, so that in future the talent could find its way to meet a desired destination.

HEG: Industrial Visit by Students of Sage University

To give industrial exposure to the students of Sage University, HEG gave a chance to the students to visit our organization and gain the learning’s regarding the overall general process of  Electrode Manufacturing.

This gives a platform for the students to groom themselves and can fill them with the core knowledge about the manufacturing process.

HEG always encourages the learning and development of the students as well, so that in the future the talent could find its way to meet a desired destination.

HEG: Employee Engagement Activity

The Employee Engagement Activity is a part of HR that describes the dedication and faith in his or her respective job. To promote employee engagement, many activities were performed by the employees from various departments. The motive for organizing this event was to focus on several factors such as communication, team building, boosting morale, and many more aspects.

The response to this event was overwhelming and employees were enthusiastic. The rewards were distributed to the winning team so that healthy competition could be maintained in the future.

The activity was conducted in Graphite Guest House Lawn for the workers, trainees, officers, and junior officers categories on March 6, 15, and 28, 2024. This activity was coordinated by Mr. Shamit Tiwari.

Looking after the response from the employees, these activities will be highly in demand in the future.

We wish all the concerned persons congratulations for conducting this successful event.

Maral Sarovar: Legal Literacy Camp

District Legal Forum, Khargone conducted a Legal Literacy and Awareness camp at Maral Sarovar on March 21, 2024, to spread legal awareness among the workers about their rights and duties, forced labor, child labor, etc. District Judge Shri Sharma and Judge, Kasrawad court Smt. Premvada Shukla along with a few NGOs. Social workers have given speeches on legal literacy and awareness. From Maral Overseas Ltd, Shri Manoj Thakker, VP-HR welcomed the guests.

RSWM-Rishabhdev: Training & Capacity building

A one-day session on the Training and Capacity Building Program on Business Responsibility & Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) was held at Rishabhdev on March 16, 2024. Asstt. Managers and the above officers participated in the program. This one-day workshop was enjoyed by all and good appreciation was received from the participants.

ADHPL: First Internal Audit of IMS

The 1st internal audit of IMS (ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018) for the certification year 2023-24 was conducted successfully from January 19 to 23, 2024. The clause-wise internal audit of the integrated management system was carried out by trained internal auditors from different departments as per the given schedule and time.

ADHPL: StatKraft Maturity Risk Assessment Team Visit

A team of officials from StatKraft visited the project site from January 16 to 18, 2024 for maturity risk assessment. The team conducted detailed site visits through all the project components, offices and other utilities. Document review and individual interactions with various department heads and key personnel were also conducted by the team.

ADHPL: Webinar on Dam Safety

A two-day webinar on Dam safety aspects was organized by the Central Water Commission (CWC) from February 12-13, 2024. The webinar was conducted for the projects having large dams. During the webinar, experts from different organizations conducted sessions on various topics, such as 'Overview of the Dam Safety Act and its implementation', 'Emerging trends in instrumentation and monitoring of old dams' & 'Beyond visual inspections: employing geophysical methods in dam health monitoring'.

ADHPL: Tier-II Mock Drill on Fire & Smoke

A Tier-II emergency mock drill was conducted on February 20, 2024, with participation from all the departments of ADHPL. Local administration was also informed in advance about the mock drill. The objective of this mock drill was to test the response and preparedness of AD Hydro personnel in the event of a fire incident inside the powerhouse. The scenario involved a fire outbreak near the ACB panel, triggering a series of events including power disruptions and the activation of smoke alarms. The focus was on assessing the effectiveness of emergency response, communication protocols, and evacuation procedures.

ADHPL: Safety Audit Conducted by DMI Bhopal

The third-party safety audit as mandated by the CEA guidelines was conducted by the auditors from Disaster Management Institute Bhopal during March 13-15, 2024. The auditor visited the Power House and other components of ADHPL. He also held discussions with section in-charges and individuals at sites. On the last day of the visit, a surprise mock drill was conducted by the auditor as part of the planned audit.

ADHPL: 1st Surveillance Audit and Migration of ISMS Completed

1st Surveillance audit of ISMS (Information Security Management System) and migration from ISO/IEC 27001:2013 to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 was completed successfully on February, 29, 2024. The audit was conducted by the TUV SUD South Asia Pvt. Ltd. certifying agency. During the audit, the auditors inspected all the relevant documents pertaining to ISMS and also interacted with different ISC members and employees of ADHPL. After completion of audit, the auditor from the certifying agency recommended ADHPL for continuation of certification of ISMS for another one year. 

RSWM-Lodha: Fire and Safety Training

A safety awareness program was conducted for all the staff as per the HR training calendar in four batches and we have covered all the staff-related topics such as Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Near Miss, Unsafe Acts & Conditions, Use of PPE, etc. also he has given a live demonstration of how to operate firefighting equipment. All staff members were given training to follow safety rules and how to respond to different emergencies. All the staff appreciated the training which was taken by Shri Bhanwar Singh Bhati (Safety Officer). 

RSWM-Lodha: Maintenance Training for the Technical Team

As a part of the technical skills enhancement of staff members, a training cum awareness session was organized from date March 27 to 29 2024. The technical team took this session for all technical officers. They explained about functioning, technical faults their remedies etc. During this interaction session, participants also came out to this platform to discuss their queries and technical issues which were addressed properly.

MPCL: Plant Safety Committee Meeting

MPCL conducted a Safety Committee Meeting at the site on March 26, 2024, and discussed the issues related to the implementation of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment. The plant in charge chaired the meeting and the Member Secretary welcomed all the participants present in the meeting and started the discussion.

LNJ Denim: Training on SA 8000

A training session on SA 8000 was conducted on February 9 &10, 2024. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp & prayer by Shri Suketu Shah –BH. The two-day training program was provided to our LNJ Denim & Knits employees. A total of 25 employees participated in the program.  It was imparted by Sh. Sushil Sharma from BSI. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about the SA 8000 requirement in the plant & how it is working in the plant after implementation. SA 8000 provides a holistic framework for fair treatment of workers. & it specifies the requirements of nine elements, SA8000 applies a management-systems approach to social performance and emphasizes continual improvement. It was concluded with a written examination & explored the feedback from all participants.  It was a great learning for employees. All the participants were highly appreciative of the program.

MPCL: 6S Training Workshop

MPCL has organized “6S” training at the MPCL site on March 11 & 12, 2024 conducted by an external agency. The objective is to educate and improve the housekeeping skills of staff for an accident-free workplace. The training covered specialized knowledge through lectures and practical exercises on the “6S” methodology.

MPCL: Mock Drill on Drowning Rescue

MPCL conducted a Tier-1 Mock Drill on March 22, 2024, at the barrage site involving all plant components to test its emergency preparedness & response planning. The scenario of the Mock Drill (Drowning and rescue) was finalized in consultation with the plant in-charge and was completed in time with effectiveness.
