GHSS: School Excellence Award 2023-24

Graphite Higher Secondary School, Mandideep received an excellence award powered by Brain Feed (NUMERO UNO School of INDIA 2024) in recognition of the relentless pursuit of excellence in academics, teaching-learning system, and holistic development at Gurugram Haryana on 31st January 2024.

GHHS: Sporting Highlights

The interschool sports competition was organized by the Municipal council on the occasion of Republic Day from 5th January to 21st January. Graphite school participated under various heads and secured positions and in turn got many medals.

1. Five students of classes VI & IX received gold medals, five silver medals, and eleven bronze medals in the 22 World Traditional Shotokan Karate Federation Championship.

2. The Senior Football Boys Team secured the first position in the Interschool sports competition by the Municipal Council.

3. The Sub-Junior Cricket Boys Team got the First Runner-up position in the Interschool sports competition by the Municipal Council.

4. The Sub-Junior Volleyball Boys Team got second position in the Interschool sports competition by the Municipal Council.

5. The Sub-Junior Kho-Kho Boys Team got second position in the Interschool sports competition by the Municipal Council.

GHSS: Scientific Week Commemoration

To participate in the Inter School Annual Science Quiz Contest 2023-24, for Junior & Senior category 2-2 students registered respectively from Graphite School. The students performed well in the quarter-final round conducted on January 8 & 10 for the Junior and senior categories respectively. The topic of the contest was TASE “Technology Science and Environment”

To solicit the 29th-anniversary celebration of Regional Science Centre Bhopal, 40-40 students of Class -8th & Class- 7th respectively visited Regional Science Centre along with 4 facilitators. Students attended the inaugural ceremony on January 11, 2024, and visited the science exhibition where many science working models were demonstrated and explained by various Science institutions. On January 12, 2024, students attended a popular science lecture on the topic -’ Role of ICAR NISHAD in control and containment of emerging and exotic animal diseases’, the lecture was delivered by Dr. Aniket Sanyal, Director of ICAR.

Junior Scientists from classes I to V organized a science exhibition for the parents. The students prepared working models of various concepts taught in their classes under the guidance of their teachers and presented during the exhibition.

The parents who visited the exhibition were also elated on seeing the progress of their kids.

GHSS: SDG Initiatives

SDG club students showcased a street play emphasizing the importance of waste management. Parents were not only made aware of waste management but they also loved the way the students confidently expressed themselves on the stage.

GHSS: Bhagvad Geeta Gayan Competition

To inculcate good values into our little ones a Geeta Chanting competition was organised by the Chinmaya Mission at Scholar Homes Public School, Bhopal. Students of classes I to X participated in the Competition conducted. Graphite School got first prize and one of the students received first prize for her special performance also the faculty members were felicitated for their rigorous support for the development of the Sanskrit language.

GHSS: Students’ Painting Flicks

On January 23, 2024, students of class 9th of Graphite Higher Secondary School actively participated in the Painting competition under Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 at Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Raisen. In the competition students made attractive paintings on the topic ‘MANTRAS GIVEN IN EXAM WARRIORS’, students enthusiastically participated in this exam-buster activity. One of the students named Ishika Janoriya of class IX secured fourth position in that competition.

Students of class V also participated in different painting competitions organized by Scope Global Skills University and Regional Science Centre, Bhopal where at both events, the students grabbed first positions.

GHSS: Annual Achievement Recognition Ceremony

The highlight of our cultural festivities is the Indian Classical Dance Championship NRITYAM held at the Sr. Wing of Graphite Hr. Sec. School on January 30, 2024. This prestigious event immerses the audience in the rich tapestry of traditional dance forms. The stage vibrates with the grace of Satriya and Bharatanatyam, the dynamism of Kathak and Odissi, and other captivating performances. Each act is a mesmerizing storytelling experience, a testament to the dedication and talent of our students. During the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony, on February 1, 2024, GHSS Junior wing students showcased a dynamic act YUGANTAR on the four yugas, namely - Satyug, Tretayuga, Dwaparyuga, and Kalyug. The presentation beautifully represented prominent characters from different eras, from the Mughal era to the British colonial period, and the heroes of Independent India. Even the G20 summit found its place in this captivating performance. The act concluded with a stunning portrayal of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

GHSS: Pedagogical Aid Demonstration Contest-2024,@RSC Bhopal

To spread awareness about the significance of science and its applications in our daily lives, the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal organized a ‘Teaching Aid Demonstration Contest’ for teachers on the topic Indiof genous Technologies for Viksit Bharat.

Graphite School extended the participation of 4 teachers from different departments, Dr. Keerti Khapre made a teaching kit on the topic of Money & Credit, Dr. Pooja Dwivedi demonstrated the food chain using the spin wheel, Mrs. Meenakshi Roy demonstrated the reflection & refraction phenomenon using a laser tank and Ms. Sakshi Sharma demonstrated English sentence formation Kit. Our teachers proved their mettle in the competitive round by competing with 30+ teachers from all over Bhopal, securing winning positions. Dr. Keerti Khapre secured 2nd position in the senior category, Ms. Sakshi Sharma secured 3rd position in the junior category and Mrs. Meenakshi Roy secured 2nd position in the special category.

GHSS: Principal's Conclave organized by Athos Edu solutions, Indore

Graphite School Principal, Mrs. Swati Rahatekar was felicitated with a certificate for participating in MIMANSA: A Principal's Conclave, Madhya Pradesh, season 1 held on January 20, 2024, organized by Athos Edu Solutions Indore in association with Cambridge.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Vivekians Shine at UICC Indore International Open FIDE Rating Rapid Chess Tournam

In the bustling arena of competitive chess, Vivekians showcased their prowess at the UICC Indore International Open FIDE Rating Rapid Chess Tournament 2024. Among the talented contenders, Ishan Rathod carved his niche, securing an impressive 5th rank in the under-15 age category. With a resounding victory in six out of nine matches, Ishan's strategic finesse and unwavering determination illuminated the tournament, reflecting the indomitable spirit of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar's chess enthusiasts.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Youngest Resin Artist Enters India Book of Records

In a remarkable testament to artistic brilliance, Yatharth Kushwah from Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar etched his name in the annals of creativity as the 'Youngest Resin Artist' in the prestigious India Book of Records for 2025. His journey epitomizes the fusion of talent, innovation, and passion, transcending age barriers to redefine the landscape of resin art. Yatharth's intricately crafted pieces not only exhibit technical finesse but also narrate captivating stories, resonating with profound artistic expression. His achievement stands as a beacon of inspiration, underscoring the school's ethos of nurturing talent and fostering creativity irrespective of age.

VVV Maral Sarovar: CBSE Conference

Maral School has been recognised by CBSE as the lead school in the district and has been bestowed with District Coordinator responsibility along with the authority of Centre Fixation and Central Nodal Supervisor for Evaluation & Practical for the past 6 years. In continuation, the school hosted a conference of Principals of 4 districts – Khandwa, Dhar, Barwani, and Khargone, addressed by the CBSE Regional Officer on the nuances of CBSE norms & rules and intricacies of NEP and board progressive initiatives. Over 200 participants from over 100 schools of the four districts attended this conference at Maral school.

VVV Maral Sarovar:Annual Fete ‘Vivek Samavesh’ Grand Celebration

This annual event boasted an array of exhibitions, stalls, and engaging activities that captivated the attendees. Esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Vikas Agrawal, the Regional officer of CBSE, graced the occasion and appreciated the progressive pedagogy being adopted in schools in Scholastic and Co-Scholastic domain, applying the National Education Policy (NEP) essence in every field of holistic education in school.

The Fete was not only an event of fun and frolic but also encompassed educational exploration having various interactive activities and displays to amaze the parent gentry to amaze them with the “Experiential Learning” method of education being adopted in school for the extensive development of their children.

"Hindi Graam” Featured 14 Maheshwar sutras and a grammar tree"Enchanting English World": made everyone step into a realm of fairy tales, storytelling, and hopscotch to unravel prefixes and suffixes. Maths Exhibition - "Jantar Mantar": wasn't just a stall; it was a journey through ancient mathematical models. The interactive Vedashala featured mind-zimming stick puzzles. Science Exhibition - "Marvels of Science City" made the gentry explore from an elephant pest to DNA models and electricity generation from garbage. The display of a crafted Chandrayaan 3 from recycled materials highlighted the school's commitment to sustainability. Social Science and Commerce Exhibition - "Chronicle of Markets and Civilization": presented a journey through pyramids, Mayan temples, rainforests, and a business game. The Foundation Block hosted "Joyful Learning Junction," inviting attendees to ignite curiosity and spark imagination. SDG Exhibition - "Eco-Friendly Decoratives": Exhibited eco-friendly decorative items, inspiring a shift towards organic products. From vermicompost initiatives to impactful SOHA paintings addressing climate change, it was a display of creativity aligned with global goals. The Sports Department created the excitement of "Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto," where various game stalls offered a blend of fun and competition. Computer Stall - "Pixel Pulse Arena": invited all to step into the world of gaming at the "Pixel Pulse Arena," entertained and showcased the intersection of technology and recreation.

Plant Sapling Exhibition - "Maral Amiyari" connected the visitors with nature at the Plant Sapling Exhibition, showcasing the diverse flora within the school campus. Honoring the achievements of students who secured top positions or excelled at state and national levels, the award ceremony was a moment of recognition for dedication and excellence in various fields. The event concluded with an exciting lucky draw contest, where attendees had the chance to win coveted prizes like a 32-inch LED TV, microwave, grinder, and more. The anticipation and excitement reached its peak as the winners were announced.

VVV Maral Sarovar: National Youth Day Celebration with Reverence and Yoga

Swami Vivekananda's legacy of spiritual enlightenment and youth empowerment echoed through the halls of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar on the auspicious occasion of National Youth Day. The day commenced with a serene yoga session, symbolizing the union of mind, body, and soul. Students, guided by dedicated teachers, embarked on a journey of self-discovery through meditation and Surya Namaskar, embodying the essence of physical and mental discipline.

VKV Rishabhdev: Lohri & Makar Sakranti Celebration

On January 13, 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev held a special assembly to mark Sports Day and celebrate Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Lohri, a Punjabi folk festival symbolizing the Winter Solstice, was commemorated with a speech by Bhavya from class 9, explaining its cultural significance. Bonfires were lit, and folk songs filled the air, fostering a sense of community and gratitude. The celebration also highlighted the significance of Pongal.

Following the Lohri festivities, the school eagerly hosted its Annual Sports Day on the sprawling grounds, engaging students from grades I to XII in various sports competitions. The day commenced with a spirited Baton lighting ceremony and an inspiring oath administered by Varshika Choudhury from class 7, promoting sportsmanship and fair play.

The HOI delivered a motivating speech, emphasizing the importance of healthy competition and teamwork. Throughout the day, competitions such as races, football, volleyball, kho-kho, and kabaddi were organized, fostering camaraderie and a sense of achievement among participants. The event concluded with cheers, highlighting the integral role of sports in building a healthy school community.

VKV Rishabhdev: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

The National Youth Day celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev on January 12, 2024, commenced with homage to Swami Vivekananda's portrait and lamp lighting by the Principal. Students of class 8 presented a thought-provoking skit to impart the principles and values of the great spiritual leader. Class IX students showcased dynamic dance performances expressing youth vibrancy. The choreography symbolized the timeless relevance of Vivekananda's teachings. The Principal delivered a motivating address emphasizing the significance of Youth Day and education's role in character shaping. The speech highlighted Vivekananda's values, urging students towards personal excellence. A spirited rally concluded the program, with students marching through the school and town with banners and slogans. The rally aimed to raise awareness about youth engagement and community participation.

VKV Rishabhdev: First Aid Making Activity

To address minor injuries and medical emergencies on school premises. It provides immediate access to essential medical supplies, promoting prompt response to accidents or illnesses, and ensuring the well-being of students while awaiting professional medical assistance. Additionally, it fosters a safer and more prepared learning environment. The activity started by conducting a comprehensive guideline of essential medical supplies, including bandages, antiseptic wipes, adhesive tapes, pain relievers, and any specific medications required for known conditions.

Also ensure that the supplies are well-organized, labeled, and easily accessible. Regularly check and update the contents to maintain the box's effectiveness in addressing potential emergencies and promoting a safe environment for students. It impacts individuals by providing timely and effective response to injuries or medical issues. Having a well-prepared First Aid Box promotes a sense of safety and security, empowering students with the knowledge that help is readily available. It minimizes the severity of injuries, reduces the risk of complications, and contributes to overall well-being, fostering a healthier and more resilient student community.

To sustain the First Aid Box activity for students, we will establish a regular inspection and restocking schedule. Also conduct periodic training sessions to keep staff and students informed about its use. Foster community involvement and integrate first aid education with the curriculum to reinforce a culture of safety and preparedness.

VKV Rishabhdev: Sandwich Making Activity

Junior students from our school recently showcased their sandwich-making skills in a lively competition. The event was filled with enthusiasm and creativity as young chefs put their talents to the test. Each participant crafted unique sandwiches, showcasing a blend of flavors and ingredients. The competition was not just about taste but also presentation, with students displaying their artistic flair. Judges were impressed by the innovation and precision demonstrated by the budding chefs. From classic combinations to inventive twists, the sandwiches captivated judges and spectators alike.

The event fostered a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie among the participants. Students eagerly awaited the announcement of the winners, reflecting the high stakes of the competition. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the results were revealed. Cheers erupted as the top sandwiches were announced, showcasing the talent and dedication of the participants.

The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their culinary skills and creativity. It also served as a valuable learning experience, encouraging students to experiment with flavors and textures. Overall, the sandwich-making competition was a resounding success, leaving participants inspired and hungry for more culinary adventures.

VKV Rishabhdev: Baby Show

The Baby Show Celebration marked a joyous occasion filled with excitement, talent, and camaraderie held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev. The event brought together children, parents, teachers, and esteemed guests to celebrate the journey of growth and learning.

The event commenced with the traditional 'Lighting of the Lamp' followed by a warm welcome extended to all guests. The audience was treated to a captivating 'Welcome Dance' performance, setting the stage for the festivities. The Principal Mrs. Vijayshree Yadav delivered an inspiring address. Children below 2 years old showcased their adorable charm in a delightful 'Ramp Walk'. Chrysalis faculty, Mrs. Achala Bohra and Harsha Vyas were introduced, acknowledging their contributions to the institution. Children aged 2-3 participated in a fun-filled 'Game 1', fostering their cognitive and motor skills. 'Ramp Walk' was tailored for age groups 3-4 and 4-5, ensuring inclusive participation. Parents were actively engaged by motivating their children. Children aged 5-8 showcased their flair and confidence in an impressive 'Ramp Walk'. A melodious rendition by Veena Madam filled the air, adding musical charm to the event. A parent activity was conducted by Ms. Pooja Suthar and Ms. Neetu Rawal.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes, recognizing the talent and efforts of participants. The Chief Guest Mr. M.S. Manilal bestowed blessings upon the children, encouraging them to reach for their dreams. The Baby Show Celebration was a resounding success, celebrating talent, fostering camaraderie, and reinforcing the spirit of learning and growth. It served as a testament to the vibrant community and shared commitment to nurturing young minds.

VKV Rishabhdev: Basant Panchami Celebration

On February 14, 2024, a special assembly at the school commemorated Basant Panchami with Maa Saraswati Puja, invoking blessings for wisdom and learning. Talented students showcased their musical skills with a harmonious group song, spreading joy among all. The audience was mesmerized by Misthi Jain's heartfelt poem, delivered with eloquence and charm, showcasing her budding talent as a poet.

Students from Class V and VI presented a captivating skit, blending humor with social awareness, leaving the audience entertained and enlightened. Class VII girls dazzled the stage with a spirited group dance, celebrating the essence of Basant Panchami with graceful movements and vibrant colors.

The Head of the Institution delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the importance of education, creativity, and cultural values in shaping the future generation. The assembly also featured the adorable ramp walk by Kindergarten students, spreading smiles and warmth, concluding the festivities on a delightful note.

VKV Rishabhdev: Science Day Celebration

Science Day was celebrated in the morning assembly. A ppt presentation was performed in which it was explained that Science Day, celebrated annually on February 28, commemorates the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by the Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. This day serves as a reminder of the remarkable contributions scientists make to our understanding of the world.

To demonstrate the Raman Effect, a simple experiment was conducted using a laser pointer and a sample of a substance such as water, ethanol, etc., followed by a short quiz based on the Raman effect.

VKV Rishabhdev: Graduation Day Celebration

On March 30, 2024, the graduation day for students from Nursery to Class 7 marked a poignant occasion, brimming with pride, joy, and celebration. It was a heartfelt event as students bid farewell to another academic year, carrying with them cherished memories and invaluable lessons. The ceremony stood as a testament to their dedication, resilience, and the steadfast guidance of their families and teachers, shaping their journey toward a promising future. Amidst farewells and new beginnings, the event symbolized the culmination of their efforts and the beginning of new adventures. As they embraced this transition, they left behind a legacy of achievement and growth, ready to embark on the next chapter of their educational journey with optimism and determination.

VKV Rishabhdev: Bal Umang

On February 1, 2024, our school blossomed into a lively carnival atmosphere with the spectacular Baal Umang event! ️ Students delighted in an array of delicious food stalls immersed themselves in thrilling games, danced to infectious beats, and immersed themselves in the sheer joy of numerous entertaining activities. Laughter filled the air as memories were created, bonds were forged, and the spirit of camaraderie soared. It was a day brimming with joy, unity, and cherished experiences!

VKV-Hurda: Interschool Group Folk Dance

With the aim of honouring the dancing skill of students, an Inter-School Group Folk Dance program was organized for the students of all four LNJ Group Schools on January 31, 2024. The program was conducted online.

The program began with great zest and excitement. The theme was “Indian Folk Dance”. The students from classes VI to VIII participated in the event. The dancers presented energetic performances, the participants displayed their skill in a variety of folk dances like Bhangra, Garba, Odissi, and Rajasthani. The program was a great success.
