Summer Day Celebration

The workshops/ Trainings  of  AIL have opened a new pathway and have boosted the teachers  to integrate  the art  with teaching in classroom and help students to have  concrete understanding of all the subjects. It has helped to involve all students to participate and learn in classroom and have fun while  learning .

Summer Day Celebration in Primary  Section  in  school on the 17^th of April,18 was one activity wherein all the students actively took part in organizing and managing the activity. The school display boards, corridors and classrooms were well decorated with beautiful and colorful  things made by students which were highly appreciable . Teachers and students together made arrangements for the celebrations and worked to make it a memorable day. Students made many colorful cut outs of fruits, vegetables  awareness posters of summer season, decorated  umbrellas  made colorful goggles etc. they learnt to do cutting, pasting and making  beautiful  artifacts. 

Classrooms were arranged for  summer  Day with  healthy eatables, Mock Tail Mania of  drinks like Lassi, Aam Panna, Lemonade etc. Students   arranged   stalls of shakes, snacks & drinks. They put banners showing the do’s and don’ts, precautions ,safety measures for being safe in summer.

On the Celebration Day, Tiny Tots were welcomed by the teachers who dressed up as colorful puppets were the centre of attraction and the children who  were dressed up as summer fruits  danced and introduced the fruits they wore   and shared its use and importance, students dressed up as young chefs smartly  managed the stalls . Students learnt to make and serve the drinks & eatables in different decorative manner and greeted   all with smiles , explained the things in stall with confidence .

The celebration helped the students to learn a lot about the summer season. Teachers and students  worked in team, students  learnt to adjust, cooperate, share & appreciate .They shared their knowledge with their friends.They learnt many ways of decorating their class. Each and every aspect of the summer bonanza was well enjoyed by them.     

Republic Day Celebration In School

Republic day marked the celebration of the enforcement of the constitution of India. The National flag was unfurled and patriotic songs were sung by the students of the student's choir which were spell binding. Songs reverberated in the surrounding filling a patriotic feeling in all. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were a treat to the eyes. A scintillating and flamboyant march past and band show was the attraction of the day  The school was decked with tricolor flags and bands and it wore a beautiful look and all were charged by patriotic fervor. All the students and staff felt honored and students showed great excitement in performing patriotic items.

The Chief Guest, Shri  Mahesh Gupta,  President,  School Managing Committee and the School Principal  urged the students to keep alive the feeling of patriotism in them and feel proud to be Indians. Students were told that they must know what they are capable of, how they can take inspiration from great achievers of the country in the field of sports, science etc who have made India proud on the global map. The programme was comprised of several activities like march past, karate demonstration, patriotic songs, dance and prize distribution. Students dispersed after refreshment with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their minds. They took a pledge to be true Indians and make India a great nation. 

Inter-school Tournament of Sports and Culture

Graphite School students took part in Inter-school Tournament of sports and cultural. The event was held at AISECT UNIVERSITY in the first week of February 2018, around 24 schools in and around Bhopal took part in the Seventh Carnival of the University.  Students of the school played well in the sports and the skills shown by them caught the attention of the audience. Their Spirit was greatly appreciated and they bagged 1^st prize in both boys and girls senior group in Kho-Kho competition.  In cultural round, students got the 2^nd prize in the dance competition. The students had good & wide experience in sports as well as the cultural area.

Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha

Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha organised exam for school students in the month of Nov 2017 in which 210 Graphite School students took part in the school level round of the exam.

In school level competition students selected  were –

• 1st  Ku Khushboo Yadav
• 2^nd Mas. Roopan Dixit
• 3^rd  Ku. Soumya Thakur

By participating in this exam, students got the good knowledge of various topics covered in the exam.

Women's Day Celebrations

Women’s day was celebrated in school on 8^th  March  2018. This day is a global day to mark the call to action for accelerating gender parity & celebrate the power and equality of women. Celebrating the incredible strength of women to strengthen the formation of the new society and ensure that future of girls is bright, equal, safe & rewarding. The day also calls the women to be in prominent posts and play as impressive role models in every aspect of life. Awareness was created for women to believe in oneself, to be empowered, support other women and set sail towards progress by being highly charged & enthusiastic.

In Graphite School Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Smt. Sangeeta Rustogi W/o Shri Raju Rustogi, CFO, HEG Ltd was the chief guest of the day. In her speech, she stressed the need for women to be independent and bold. It was a power packed day for the teachers as it included cricket, tug of war, musical chair which was greatly enjoyed by the teachers.

All the winning teacher's team were presented trophies and medals. Teachers were motivated to be bold for change and be active, empowered and realize the great power of woman for the well being of the family and society. The celebrations concluded with sumptuous staff lunch and gifts were given to teachers. 

Annual Function and Exhibition

Widespread events of annual function & exhibition were conducted on 11^th and 12^th January 2018 respectively complying the conventional path of academics on the grand occasion of Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary. Students participated in this event and exhibited their talent through these events. The annual function was presided by Mr. Gangacharan Dubey (District Judge) and special guest Mr. S.C. Maheshwari (Chairman SMC & president MOL) . The event was performed successfully with the response of great applaud.

Holi celebration

The whole school family celebrated Holi Milan Samaroh on 11th March 2018. It was the outstanding informal event which was organized to keep of pattern harmony and unity among the staff members. The event was fully organized and celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Essay writing competition

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar organized Inter School Elocution & Essay Writing Competition on 6^th January 2018, for the students of the group schools. Participants from VKV Rishabhdev, Graphite School Mandideep (Bhopal) and V.V.V. Maral Sarovar participated in this competition. In Senior category, Ms. Diksha Goyal from V.V.V. Maral Sarovar won the first prize and in junior category, Miss. Hejal Parmar from VKV Rishabhdev won the first position. 

Inter School Chess Championship

Chess Championship took place from 19^th and 20^th January 2018 in the premises of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev. VVV- Maral and VKV-Rishabhdev participated in this event. Master Kartik Bhandari from VKV, Rishabhdev managed to win this event by scoring 3.5 points out of 4 rounds. 2^nd position was secured by Daksh Masar who scored 3 points and Master Sujal Jain held on to the 3^rd position and scored 2.5 points. The team championship prize was won by VKV, Rishabhdev by scoring a total of 11 points.

Girls Awareness Program

Girls Awareness Programme was conducted on 20^th January, 2018, our school organised a ‘Girls Awareness Programme.’ Dr. Akanksha Tripathi, a Gynecologist at Pacific Medical college guided the girls about hygiene. A large number of mothers also joined the programme. They were guided about maintaining  hygiene and stay fit and healthy. She also awarded the girls about adolescent changes (Physically, intellectually and emotionally) in their body. She talked with them freely and in a friendly manner. Thus everybody was very inspired by her. 

Inter School Folk Dance Competition

Inter School Folk Dance Competition was held at Nobles School, Kherwara in the month of February and 11 schools participated in the competition. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev stood First in  position and  were awarded with a cash of Rs. 5000/- and champion’s shield.

Graduation Day

Class XI students organised a fiesta to Bid – Adieu the students of class XII that enthralled the senior students. Lots of fervor was seen in the outgoing students. An array of programs includes dance, songs, skits and band performances by the juniors for their seniors which were a treat to the eyes.

The theme behind the program was - ROYALE . The stage, welcome cards, arrangements for the party and program for the outgoing students etc wore a royal look. The school Principal’s speech motivated & guided the students to lead a path of truth and humanity and reach great heights in their life.

Outgoing students recounted their school experience in emotional and nostalgic  overtones.
