Celebrations and Festivals
HO: Diwali Festival
Diwali originated in India as a celebration of light, in fact the word Diwali comes from “deepavali”, meaning “row of lamps.” It is traditionally celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs, although over the years it has been incorporated into many different cultures around the world. It is known as the festival of lights because in celebration people light many small clay lamps called "diyas" around their homes to represent the victory of good over evil and to invite good luck and prosperity from the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi and the God Ganesha, who represents good luck, wealth and enlightenment. For Hindus this is one of the most important festivals of the year, and it involves spending time with family and performing traditional activities with smile on everyone’s face.
As per LNJ Bhilwara Group tradition, we celebrated Deepavali in office premises with much gaiety and bliss. The Diwali pujan was performed in the office premises where Smt. Rita Jhunjhunwala in her melodic voice sang Sree Ramanama Sankeertanam and Shri L.N. Jhunjhunwala, Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala, Shri Riju Jhunjhunwala, Shri Shekhar Agarwal, Shri Shantanu Agarwal, Smt. Vedika Agarwal and all the staff prayed for good fortune, health & success. The prayers invoked the blessings of Goddess Laxmi Ji and God Ganesha ji. The sweets have been distributed to all after hawan and pujan and small get-together was also organised for Bhilwara employees with light refreshments. The office premises are decorated with beautiful flowers, earthen lamps, lightings and rangolis which makes the atmosphere even more happening and everybody enjoyed this amusing evening a lot and wished each other for good luck and prosperity.
