Egypt - Explore the Ancient Wonders

With a long rich history and as a land of many mythological stories, Egypt is one of the first dream destinations of travelers around the world. This country is home to a total of 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  One of the oldest tourist destinations in the world, Egypt and its collection of world-famous ancient sites and legendary national treasures have been wowing the crowds for centuries.

Egypt and its ancient culture throughout the Nile have captivated and amazed travelers for centuries. From the sand-covered tombs of lost civilizations to the dusty barren desert of the Sahara, Egypt will bring out the adventurer in all of us.

Alexandria - Known for its époque buildings and grand squares it was once a very fashionable city. Although it charms have faded a little, it’s still a must-see destination in Egypt.

Cairo - Egypt’s buzzing capital and a must-see destination for tourists.  Once you get over the chaos, the culture shock and in-your-face touts, this city is a traveller’s dream and easily one of the most important destinations to travel to in Egypt.  History fans will also be in their element here with age-old traditions perfectly preserved in every corner of the city.  Cairo tower offers the most amazing panoramic views of the Egyptian capital. It is advised to go up to the tower's circular observation deck in the late morning or late afternoon for the clearest views of the city. 

The Red Sea Coast - The Red Sea has clear azure waters and an incredible number of exotic fish and coral – which is why is so highly regarded as a diving destination.  It offers some of the best diving and snorkelling experiences in the world. 

Pyramids at Giza - Eternally a top-rated attraction in Egypt, no visitor should leave without visiting Great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza. They are the only remaining seven wonders of the world of the ancient world and over 4600 years old. They’re an imposing sight and the whole complex is still shrouded in mystery.

Luxor - Easily one of the most beautiful places to visit in Egypt, this is one of the best cities to explore in Egypt – there are only a few places in the world that could be called an open-air museum, but the Egyptian city Luxor is one of them. In fact, the number and preservation of the monuments in the Luxor area are unparalleled anywhere else in the world and most Egypt holidays wouldn’t be complete without a visit.

The Nile - The best way to explore one of the world’s most famous rivers is by a cruise lasting for more than a few days. The stunning Nile is filled with interesting flora and fauna and a trip to this Egyptian delight will give you an interesting insight into the rural parts of Egypt.  You’ll also get to stop at plenty of famous temples and other ancient sites of interest. Although if boats are not your thing, head for the banks of Aswan to watch the sunset at one of most beautiful stretches of the Nile. 

Mount Sinai - Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula is worth the journey and has a different feel to the rest of the country. Mount Sinai is a popular attraction. It has huge religious significance having been mentioned many times in the book of Exodus, the Bible, and the Quran.

Saint Catherine’s Monastery - Saint Catherine’s Monastery can be found just below Mount Sinai. It’s a very old and very important tourist site in Egypt and has a UNESCO World Heritage Site status and is, in fact, the oldest working monastery in the world. 

Siwa Oasis - The Siwa Oasis is often mentioned as one of the most stunning places to visit in Egypt. Located off the beaten track between the Qattara Depression and the Egyptian Sand Sea (in the Libyan Desert) it has its own distinct Siwan culture which differs from the mainstream Arabic culture.

White Desert - The fabled White Desert of Egypt is very interesting.  The desert has an otherworldly beauty with bizarre, ghost-white rock formations sprouting from the desert sands. The strange structures are huge chalk formations created because of occasional sandstorms in the area. Take a four-wheel-drive through the desert or stay overnight for a truly surreal experience.

The Fjord Bay (Taba) - Taba is a colourful little town positioned at the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba. It is a natural bay that has become a popular spot for swimming, diving, hiking, climbing, boating, and many other outdoor activities. The bay is surrounding by rolling hills that gently sweep down to the stunning aqua-blue water.

Abu Simbel Temples - One of the most instantly recognisable historical sites in Egypt. They are massive rock temples built by the ancient Egyptians.  

Nuweiba - An attractive city to holiday or travel to in Egypt, it’s surrounded by the pristine aqua blue waters of the Gulf of Aqaba and the bright red sands of Sinai - a narrow trail walk surrounded by beautifully coloured rock formations. You will be amazed by the color variations in the rocks, which range from dark purple to bright yellow.

Egyptian Deserts & Oases - A desert safari takes you through an endless stunning range of desert landscapes coupled with scenic sunsets and starry night skies. Walk along mud houses and ancient ruins in Egyptian desert oases, shop for locally made crafts and rub shoulders with Bedouins carrying out century old traditions− the Egyptian Desert is one of those mystic places where regular living practices are suspended or absent, a place where water access is everything and land ownership is nothing.

Marina Boulevard - A stroll along the Hurghada Marina Boulevard is a must-do: watch multi-million-dollar yachts floating on the majestic Red Sea before settling down in one of the upscale cafés, bars or pubs of the Marina.

Aswan - This is one of the most relaxing Egypt holiday destinations in the Southern part. In ancient Egypt, it was called Swenette and housed the stone quarries that supplied material to build the famous pyramids. However, Aswan is now known for its brbreathtakingiews of the desert dunes and the Nile River. The Elephantine Islands are the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend. The colorful Nubian villages in the center of the island are offbeat Egyptian tourist attractions and make for a great evening stroll.

Karnak Temple - The Karnark Temple in Luxor is one of the most famous places to visit in Egypt. The temple complex is the most astonishing tourist spot and includes the Karnark Open Air Museum. The temple houses three other famous temples within its premises – the Temple of Khons, the Great Temple of Amun and the Festival Temple of Tuthmosis III.
