VKV-Hurda School: Robotic-Coding Competition at Codeavour 5.0

Our team participated in the prestigious coding competition, Codeavour 5.0, hosted by Alpine Convent School in Gurugram. Codeavour 5.0 is renowned for providing a platform for budding programmers to showcase their skills and compete with peers from various schools.

Prior to the event, our team dedicated numerous hours to honing our coding skills and solving challenging problems. We participated in practice sessions, mock competitions, and engaged in collaborative learning to ensure we were well-prepared for the competition.

Despite the stiff competition, the VKV Hurda team demonstrated resilience, creativity, and perseverance throughout the event. We successfully solved several challenging problems, earning recognition from the judges for our innovative approaches and efficient coding solutions.

Participating in Codeavour 5.0 provided the students with invaluable learning experiences. Students gained exposure to real-world coding scenarios, improved time management skills, and learned the importance of effective teamwork and communication in problem-solving.

Our participation in Codeavour 5.0 at Alpine Convent School, Gurugram, was a rewarding experience that allowed us to showcase our coding prowess, learn from our peers, and further fuel our passion for programming.

VKV-Hurda School: Space and Astronomy Camp

In its ongoing dedication to fostering scientific curiosity and exploration, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda organized a remarkable ‘Space and Astronomy Camp' that exemplified its commitment to enriching educational experiences.

The camp was organized on April 12, 2024, by The Bhopal Aryabhatta Foundation. The organization is committed to serving basic science for inculcating scientific temperament among the students. The students were immersed in a journey through the cosmos that left them inspired and awestruck.

The Solar Astronomy Workshop was designed to educate the students about the scientific aspects of the Sun and the hazards of observing it without proper care or protection. The workshop included a theory session followed by a practical demonstration of the various techniques for the observation of celestial bodies. The Telescope aided Sky-view program was conducted in the evening hours: The Astronomical telescopes which were set in the huge open ground of the school revealed the craters of the Moon, Star Clusters, Nebulae, and Planets present in the sky overhead. The students along with their parents were invited to enjoy the unique knowledgeable experience. The aim of the camp was to promote and popularise Astronomy and Basic Sciences in the region.

VKV-Hurda School: Zero-Shadow Day

Students created Gnomotn model to measure the circumference of Earth and when Mangalore observed zero shadow at 12:28 pm, our students noted minimum shadow reading and calculated the circumference of Earth. i.e. 40,000 km and most of the students got nearly perfect values

VKV-Hurda School: Career Counselling and Teacher Training Session

Dr Sunil Tripathi, a renowned career coach and financial mentor is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University and Delhi School of Economics.

The career counseling session conducted by Dr. Shunil Tripathi on the topic of "Informed Choice" provided students with valuable insights and practical guidance to navigate the complex landscape of career decision-making. By empowering students to make informed choices based on self-awareness, research, and careful consideration of their goals and aspirations, the session has equipped them with the tools they need to embark on successful career journeys.

The session conducted by Dr. Shunil Tripathi provided teachers with a comprehensive understanding of key educational policies and frameworks, including the NEP, NCF, NCRF, and NQF. By elucidating the guiding principles, goals, and implications of these documents, Dr. Tripathi has equipped teachers with the knowledge and insights necessary to contribute effectively to the realization of India's educational vision.

VKV-Hurda School: CBSE Capacity Building Program

A Two-day CBSE Capacity Building Program was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda under the guidance of Centre of Excellence CBSE Ajmer.

The Structure of Assessment (Assessment of learning, Assessment for learning and Assessment as learning) was elaborated in detail through various activities and the multiple assessment activities were also discussed and presentations were given by different subject groups.

The CBP on Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Practices was a significant step towards improving educational outcomes. By equipping teachers with effective assessment tools and strategies, a more data-informed, reflective, and collaborative teaching environment was fostered by CBSE Resource Person from Kota and Jaipur.

VKV-Hurda School: Teachers Training Workshop on HPC and NEP

A Two Days Teachers' Training Workshop was held at VKV Hurda on June 24 & 25, 2024 by NCERT Resource Person Dr. Vivek Gupta. The workshop aimed to arm teachers with the latest educational innovations, promising to revolutionize the way they assess and nurture students’ growth.

The workshop focussed on familiarising teachers with PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge National Curriculum Framework (NCF), the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and the Holistic Progress Card (HPC).

VKV-Hurda School: SDG Club Activity: Educate, Empower & Equalize

VKV Hurda students participated at the Youth Speak Forum at IIT New Delhi on April 7, 2024. The forum focused on exploring Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education Gender Equality Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. To convene young minds from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform for them to articulate their perspectives and ideas on pressing global issues that profoundly impact both them and their communities.

VKV-Hurda School: Spic Macay International Conference

Four students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya participated in the 9th International Conference of Spic Macay from May 20 to 26, 2024 under the aegis of IIT Madras.

This program was organized to connect Indian culture and art with the youth. 1300 students from all over the country participated in this week-long program.

In the 7-day programme, the students learned Raga Bhairav ​​under the guidance of famous Agra Gharana singer Ustad Raja Miya and the school’s music teacher Mr. Neeraj Tiwari provided skilled tabla accompaniment along with. Students participated in various art and cultural exchanges.

VKV-Hurda School: Chess Orientation Camp

An introductory Chess-Orientation camp was organized on May 19, 2024, at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda where young (freshers) students (mainly from PREP to 2nd standard) were encouraged to embrace the intricacies of the game.

These budding kids were majorly invited to attend camp. Almost 45 students with their parents attended the camp very enthusiastically. The young kids solved many basic chess exercises successfully which exhilarated their parents and teachers.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Empowering Future Leaders -Scouts and Guides Orientation

“An invaluable step in character training is to make the individuals self-reliant”

The Scouts and Guides orientation program for the children was conducted in collaboration with Hindustan Scouts & Guides at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar. It presented numerous fun and educational activities for the students of Classes 6 to 9 of school where in more than 200 students attended the session and gained knowledge. It was an honour to have the State Training Commissioner of Hindustan Scouts & Guides, Mr. Neeraj Sharma at the school campus who shared his experience as a scout in the group and inspired the students to imbibe the value of service to the community.

The school celebrated International Yoga Day with an enriching session featuring a variety of yoga poses. The program commenced with 'The Sun Salutation' and meditation, filling the school grounds with peaceful chanting and the harmonious energy of mindful breathing, establishing a serene atmosphere for the day.

In addition, students demonstrated 'Ju-Jitsu,' a self-defense martial art, captivating the audience with their dynamic performance.

CBSE HPC Training: Teachers Training workshop on Holistic Progress Card ( HPC)

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar conducted a two-day Teachers' Training Workshop on the "Holistic Progress Card", led by Dr. Priyanka Singh, PARAKH NCERT, with contributions from LNJ Bhilwara Group’s Capt. Jaspreet Kaur and the Narmada Sahodaya School Cluster Khargone. The workshop effectively enhanced participants' skills in student evaluation and educational frameworks, focusing on NCERT's 2023 framework and NEP2020. The engaging sessions and practical activities provided a valuable, enriching experience, culminating in rewards for the participants' efforts. Dr. Priyanka Singh detailed the rubrics of the Holistic Progress Card, emphasizing its various stages and exploring sample HPCs across learning stages. The workshop met its objectives by enhancing participants’ understanding and practical application of the Holistic Progress Card, making it a valuable experience.

ACP ( Awakening Citizen Programme) Session

At Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar, the school and Ramakrishna Mission Delhi collaborated to host an impactful ACP (Awakening Citizen Programme) session titled "How Values Are Assimilated." Led by Ms Sapna Sarkar, coordinator for the Indore region. Ms. Sarkar passionately emphasized the mission's objective of instilling values inspired by Vivekanand and Ramakrishna Paramhans in students. Through personal anecdotes, she underscored the pivotal role of values like honesty and empathy in shaping individuals and society. The interactive dialogue engaged teachers in exploring effective methods of value education, including integrating stories into the curriculum and fostering a culture of recognizing value-driven behavior. Ms. Sarkar emphasized the collective effort needed to nurture values and urged teachers to innovate in their teaching approaches. This session provided a platform for teachers to exchange strategies and experiences, fostering unity and purpose in their shared mission of cultivating virtuous citizens.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Students at IIT Madras

From May 20 to May 26, 2024, Yatharth Kushwaha, Ayushraj Thakur, Jaivica Kushwaha, Monisha Patidar, and Shamlee Gupta in the mentorship of Mr. Rohit Dwivedi from VVV Maral had the privilege of attending the SPIC MACAY 9th International Convention at IIT Madras, Chennai. This event was a week-long immersion into the rich heritage of Indian culture, featuring classical performances and intensive workshops. The convention hosted performances by some of the most esteemed artists in India, including Padma Shri, SNA Awardees, and Padma Bhushan awardees.

These shows were a mesmerizing blend of music, dance, and Art & Craft that left the audience in awe. Witnessing such high-caliber performances was an inspirational experience for both the students and the teacher. Throughout the week, the students participated in various workshops led by these distinguished artists. They delved into the intricacies of classical dance forms, learning directly from the masters. This hands-on training not only honed their skills but also deepened their appreciation for the art forms. On the final day, the students had the opportunity to showcase what they had learned. They performed on stage, demonstrating their newly acquired dance techniques with confidence and grace.

This performance was a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the week. The convention concluded with a heritage tour to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The students explored ancient temples dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries AD. The SPIC MACAY 9th International Convention was an enriching experience that left a lasting impact on the participants. The exposure to India's classical arts and heritage was invaluable, providing the students with a deeper understanding and appreciation of their culture. This event has not only enhanced their artistic skills but also fostered a sense of pride in their cultural heritage.

Summer Camp

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar organized a dynamic summer camp fostering the overall development of students, enhancing confidence, independence, social, leadership skills, and physical fitness. Each day began with a health-promoting warm-up. Students engaged in computer gaming activities like hill climbing, puzzles, and shooting, enhancing hand-eye coordination and problem-solving. In a Podcast show renowned podcaster Mr. Viveshwar Dwivedi featured Yatharth Kushwah, India’s youngest resin artist, alongside Nihal Singh and Kyara Gupta, national netball players. Filmmaking insights were shared by filmmaker Mr. Mahesh Engla, while Mr. Manoj Thakkar, VP HR MOL, imparted life lessons. Dr. Ali Hussaini’s personality grooming session emphasized the influence of attire and grooming on character. Chess lessons covered advanced tactics like the pin and the fork. Dance sessions blended hip-hop with Bollywood, and Resin art explorations enriched creativity of the students in Art workshops. The camp concluded with puppet-making and videography skills, showcasing students’ talents and fostering innovative artistry.

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar Embarks on “Empowering Odyssey” Weaving Wellness into Welcome

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar inaugurated the new session with an "Empowerment Odyssey" theme. A contemplative meditation ushered in focused learning, prioritizing student well-being. Warm greetings, thoughtful gifts, and a lively assembly fostered a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Solidifying Commitment for Shared Journey was led by Principal with a significant oath-taking ceremony of students’ dedication to academic excellence and core values. The assembly program, a vibrant tapestry of song performances and faculty dances, echoed dedication to fairness and celebrated the diverse talents within the school community. Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar's meticulously crafted program fostered a positive and inclusive environment. This laid the groundwork for a thriving and enriching academic year, a true "Empowerment Odyssey" for all students to flourish and achieve their full potential.

VKV Rishabhdev: Warm Welcome on first day of New Session

On the very first day of the new session a special assembly was conducted by the students of class X to welcome the students, to set the tone, build community, and communicate important information such as goals, expectations, and upcoming events. It helped to motivate students, align them with the school's values, and foster a sense of belongingness.

VKV Rishabhdev: World Bicycle Day Celebrated

A massive cyclothon/marathon was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, on April 24, 2024, from Rishabhdev's Pagliyaji Garden to the bus stand, in honor of World Earth Day, aimed at environmental conservation. Students from classes 6 to 12 of the school participated in the event. The chief guest of the event was Shri Rajiv Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rishabhdev Circle, and special guests, including Shri Manish Meena, Chairman of Rishabhdev Municipality. The program was presided over by the organization's head, Shri Vijay Shri Yadav.

Program coordinator Rajendra Parihar told that the chief guest, Shri Rajiv Chaudhary, inaugurated the cycling marathon by waving the green flag, starting the rally from Pagliyaji Garden. The main route of the marathon started from Pagliyaji Garden to Senior Secondary School, Gurukul, Mahaveer Nagar, Bapu Bazaar, Patuna Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, and ended at the main bus stand. Along with the rally, students marched step by step, holding placards urging everyone to vote and emphasizing the need to clean the earth and remove plastic pollution.

At the main bus stand, students appealed to all citizens to vote on April 26. They also spread the message of a plastic pollution-free environment. On this occasion, all the teachers of the school actively participated in the program.

VKV Rishabhdev: Yoga Day

Yoga is that medicine that has the power to cure any disease of the Universe, even those which cannot be cured by the prescription of Doctor. Including Yoga in everyday life is one of the healthiest practices people can ever make. It not only makes you physically well but will calm your mind and soul. 

VKV Rishabhdev: Youth Speak Forum at IIT Delhi

Twenty students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev participated in the IIT Delhi's Event Youth Speak Forum. The event at IIT Delhi facilitated engaging discussions on global SDG issues and youth empowerment. Subsequently, the students embarked on a tour of Delhi, exploring historical monuments like the Qutub Minar and science museums such as the National Science Centre. The visit provided an enriching blend of academic discourse and cultural exploration, fostering holistic learning experiences for the students.

VKV Rishabhdev: Excellence Award 2024

Excellence Award-2024' was conferred upon the School by the Honourable Education Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Madan Dilawar Ji, at the Rami Royal Resort Udaipur. This prestigious recognition highlights the school's commitment to educational excellence and innovation. 

VKV Rishabhdev: AAGAZ-2024 (Summer Camp)

The seven-day summer camp [from May 18 to May 25] at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, commenced today, May 18, 2024. A total of 262 children participated in the event. The inauguration of the summer camp was done by nursery students who lit the lamp and cut the ribbon. The camp began with a poetry recitation aimed at welcoming and encouraging all the students. It was stated that the purpose of the summer camp is to bring out the hidden talents of the children. All the teachers were enthusiastic about the start of the camp. The camp included various unique activities such as Creative Corner, Science Spectacles, Talent Spotlight, Ninja Warriors, Aqua Adventures, and Field Frolics, which included cricket, football, and badminton, along with music, art, skating, and self-defense activities. On the first day, the students enthusiastically gained basic knowledge of all the activities.

GHHS: Spreading Joy with Blessings Bags

From April 15 to April 20, 2024, our school undertook the noble initiative of preparing and donating Blessings Bags to underprivileged children. Students enthusiastically collected stationery, food items, toys, and clothes, which they then assembled into handcrafted paper bags. This heartwarming project not only fostered a sense of community but also imparted valuable lessons in generosity and sustainability. Each bag, filled with essentials and love, profoundly impacted the recipients' lives, while instilling gratitude and empathy in our students.

Graphite HS School: Cultural Immersion at SPIC MACAY Convention

Five students from classes VI to IX, accompanied by a teacher, attended the SPIC MACAY 9th International Convention at IIT Madras from May 18 to 27, 2024. They learned about Indian classical music and dance from esteemed maestros, discovering instruments like the dilruba and mridanga. They were captivated by performances of traditional arts such as Koodiyattam and Purulia Chau. This enriching experience deepened their appreciation for India’s cultural heritage.

Graphite HS School: Triumph at Karate Federation Championship

On May 25 and 26, 2024, six students from classes VII to X participated in the 22nd World Traditional Shotokan Karate Federation Championship in Nasik, Maharashtra. Their dedication and hard work paid off as they secured 2 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

Notably, two students have been selected to represent our school in the upcoming International Karate Championship, showcasing their exceptional talent and determination.

Graphite HS School: Exploring the Science of Food

On June 15, 2024, our students attended a workshop at the Regional Science Centre Bhopal on the topic "Unveiling the science behind What keeps us healthy - acidic vs. basic foods!" Through interactive activities and experiments, they learned about the pH scale and how different foods affect our bodies. This fun and informative experience sparked their curiosity about nutrition and health.

Graphite HS School: Celebrating International Music Day

On June 22, 2024, our school organized a Solo Singing Competition themed "LOKRAAG" to celebrate International Music Day. Talented vocalists from the junior and senior categories performed folk songs from various Indian states. Renowned Nimadi folk singer, Mrs. Seema Tare, graced the event as the special guest judge. The competition showcased our students' passion and skill in folk music, making it a memorable and inspiring celebration of India's rich musical heritage.

Graphite HS School: Artistic Triumph in Swachhta Pakhwada

During the Swachhta Pakhwada celebrations, our students participated in a painting competition organized by the Regional Science Centre (RSC), Bhopal on World Art Day. The theme was 'Swachh Bharat Samriddh Bharat,' focusing on preserving our environment. Soumya Jhod from Class III C emerged victorious, winning first prize on April 19, 2024, and third prize on June 5, 2024, on World Environment Day. This recognition highlights our students' dedication to environmental conservation through art.

Graphite HS School: Celebrating International Yoga Day

On June 21, 2024, our school celebrated International Yoga Day with the Isha Foundation's "Yoga for Wellbeing" module. Two batches of students from classes VIII, IX, and XI participated in sessions that promoted mindfulness, flexibility, and overall well-being. The event, guided by experienced instructors, was a great success, fostering a sense of health and mindfulness among our students. Special thanks to our yoga instructors and all the volunteers who ensured the program's smooth execution.
