GHSS: BRAINIAC SPLASH 2024: A Celebration of Innovation and Heritage

On October 19, 2024, Graphite Higher Secondary School hosted BRAINIAC SPLASH 2024, an Interdisciplinary Innovation Exhibition. Senior students displayed remarkable projects across disciplines like Science, Artificial Intelligence, Commerce, Mathematics, and Sustainable Development Goals. Highlights included Water Rocketry, Solar Energy Devices, Petrol Fraud Detectors, and Corrugated Furniture aligned with SDGs. Esteemed experts, including Mr. Manish Gulati, Executive Director of HEG, evaluated the projects, enriching the experience with insightful feedback.

The Primary Zone presented Legends of Bharat: India’s Inspiring Icons (A to Z), where junior students brought legendary Indian figures to life, celebrating their achievements and virtues. This inspiring segment fostered a sense of pride and cultural connection among students.

The exhibition’s overwhelming success underscored the synergy between students, teachers, and parents, showcasing innovation and heritage in perfect harmony.

GHSS: Exploring the Cosmos - Dome Planetarium Program

On November 8 and 9, 2024, Graphite Higher Secondary School hosted an interactive Dome Planetarium program for students from KG II to Class XII. This innovative initiative aimed to deepen students’ understanding of astronomy and the mysteries of the cosmos.

Using a state-of-the-art portable dome, the program offered an immersive experience, where high-definition visuals brought celestial wonders to life. Students explored planets, moons, stars, and galaxies, enhancing their grasp of space science through engaging presentations.

The program focused on key learning outcomes, enabling students to visualize abstract space concepts, appreciate the vastness and complexity of the universe, and develop critical thinking and scientific inquiry skills. This captivating event not only enriched the students’ knowledge but also ignited their curiosity to explore the wonders of the universe.

LED Fabrication Workshop: Illuminating Minds Through Hands-On Learning

On November 30, 2024, Graphite Higher Secondary School hosted an engaging LED Fabrication Workshop for science students of Classes XI and XII, conducted by experts from SISTECH Bhopal. Professors Mr. Nitin Malviya, Mrs. Smita Verma, and Mr. Yash Kedwe led the session, providing students with practical training in assembling and fabricating LED bulbs.

Students gained hands-on experience in using electronic tools and assembling components like diffusers, lamp bodies, and bulb holders. By the end of the session, they successfully created over 50 low-cost LED bulbs, which were distributed among participants.

The workshop emphasized energy efficiency and conservation, inspiring students to become trainers in their communities. The session not only enhanced their technical skills but also fostered a deeper understanding of sustainable practices. Students praised the workshop as an enriching and practical learning experience.

GHSS: Sporting Achievements: A Triumph of Skill and Determination

The sporting spirit of our students shone brightly during the Ashmita Khelo League Tournament held from 25th to 31st December in Gopalganj, Bihar. Representing Graphite Higher Secondary School with zeal and talent, Jaya Thakur and Mahima Goswami from Class 8 showcased their skills, making the school proud with their participation in this prestigious event; they emerged victorious, securing their place at the state level.

In another remarkable feat, 48 of our students competed in the Division Level Ball Badminton Tournament held at IIT College, Bhopal. The competition saw participation in sub-junior, junior, and senior categories for both boys and girls. An impressive 18 players from our school emerged victorious, securing their place at the state level.

Taking it a step further, 8 of our talented students have been selected to represent the school at the national level. These achievers will compete under the banner of ICUF Ashram, Bhopal, reflecting the grit and determination that define our athletes.

Such commendable achievements not only inspire their peers but also highlight the importance of sports in shaping a balanced and dynamic personality. Congratulations to all our champions for their hard work and dedication!

VKV-Hurda: Participation in Power Grid Painting Competition

Three students were selected at the State Level Power Grid Painting competition, which was held at Jaipur. Amongst them, two students, Aditya Sharma of class VIII and Bhumika Kothari of class IX received consolation prizes and made the vidyalaya proud.

VKV HURDA: SDG Club – SOHA Exhibition

The school organized the SOHA exhibition, where the SOHA Panels (Seeds of HOPE and ACTION) SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) display was organized. In this special exhibition, students presented the 17 SDG goals in detail using SOHA panels, creatively explaining each goal's objectives, importance, ways of implementation and the POWER OF ONE. 

The SOHA exhibition provided a platform for students to explore sustainable development in depth and initiate a positive change to inspire people to live sustainably.

VKV Hurda: Participation of Robotics Club at IIT Tech Fest Mumbai

VKV Hurda Robotics Team participated and secured 5th position amongst 101 schools all over India at IIT Mumbai Techfest, presenting their innovative creation, the "Breeze Bot", a mopping robot, integrated with a vacuum cleaner and a display of the Air Quality Index (AQI), garnered significant attention for its practical and cutting-edge design. Students demonstrated the robot's functionality and its innovative features and its potential for real-world applications.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Navratri and Dussehra Celebration

The nine days of Nav Durga represent a sacred journey of transformation, honoring the divine feminine while seeking strength, wisdom, and renewal. Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar commemorated Navratri with fervor, symbolizing the triumph of virtue over vice. The celebration comprised meditation, puja, and aarti, followed by a vibrant garba performance and a captivating Ram Leela drama. Garba workshop for parents was also organised. The festivities culminated in an exuberant open garba, embodying the essence of the festival.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Astronomy Workshop

Aryabhata Foundation conducted an immersive Astronomy Workshop, led by founder Mr. Sanjay Gupta, igniting students' curiosity in celestial wonders. Participants explored concepts like solar eclipses, black holes, and nebulas, and observed the sun through telescopes. A teacher empowerment session equipped educators to address students' queries. VVV Maral management committed to an Astro Science program, by establishing an astronomy club to foster students' fascination with the cosmos.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Exam

Vivekananda Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar has always been renowned for fostering the holistic development of its students. The school emphasizes not only academic excellence but also imparts equal importance to culture and traditions. This is evident from the fact that the highest number of participants in the Indian Culture Knowledge Examination, organized by ShantiKunj Haridwar, were from Maral School.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Donation Drive Campaign by SDG Club Students

The SDG club Students at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar, organized a donation drive themed  "Madad Wali Diwali" to support needy children during the festival. Students were encouraged to donate essential items like stationery materials, packaged food items, diyas, candles, and less polluting firecrackers. This initiative helped to develop a spirit of compassion and community among the students, allowing them to experience the joy of giving during Diwali.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Old-age Home Visit by SDG Club Students

Students from the SDG Club at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar visited the Asha Niketan old age home. During this heartwarming visit, they shared the joy of Diwali by engaging with the residents and spreading happiness. The students led an activity to create decorative door hangings using waste cloth, gave daily grooming kits and provided a delicious lunch.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Climate Mission Event By Swaraj Foundation

The students of Vivekanand Vidya Vihar Maral Sarovar participated in the Climate Mission launch event, marking the start of a 100-day mission to transform a global model city for climate action. The event was graced by Ms. Dia Mirza, Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment Program and SDG's and Prop. Chetan Solanki, Founder of Energy Swaraj. The event inspired students to take climate action and become environmentally conscious.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Seed Bank Initiative by SDG Club

The Seed Bank Project Initiative embarked on a mission to cultivate environmental sustainability, community engagement, and access to nutritious food. By collecting and planting fruit seeds, participants promoted eco-friendly practices, cleaner air, and healthier soil. With a goal of 100 seeds per student, the project fostered community involvement, educational opportunities, and a culture of sustainability, ensuring a greener, healthier future for generations to come.

VVV Maral Sarovar: Outdoor Play and Picnic Children’s Day Celebration

The school picnic (for Nur. To IV) at Rajrajeshwar Temple was a captivating blend of cultural immersion, outdoor excitement, and spiritual enrichment. The outing harmoniously balanced fun and education, broadening their understanding of local traditions and spiritual practices, culminating in joyful games, group dance, and cherished memories.

VKV Rishabhdev: Educational Tour at Banswara

On October 15, 2024, the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, embarked on a memorable educational trip, immersing themselves in the cultural and spiritual heart of Rajasthan. Their itinerary was thoughtfully curated, encompassing visits to significant landmarks like the Devsomnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the culturally rich Beneshawar Dham. The students also gained insights into the teachings of Sai Baba at the Sai Mandir in Banswara, and absorbed local legends at the tranquil Madareshwar Temple. A visit to the Lodha Mill provided a glimpse into the region's textile industry, while discussions on feminine divinity were sparked at the Tripura Sundari Temple. Beyond the educational value, the trip fostered team spirit and strengthened the students' connection to their cultural heritage.

VKV, Rishabhdev: Youth Camp in Nainital

Students of VKV, Rishabhdev attended the Youth Camp held from 13th November to 19th November, 2024. Mountain Echoes at Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi branch organised the (YC-24227) adventure programme at Van Niwas, Nainital. 

A team of 40 students and 4 teachers attended the camp.

The objective was to motivate children to learn real-life experiences. The Prime focus of this programme was to encourage youth into exploring the world beyond tech tools and appreciate nature in its purest form.

The camp was packed with fun and adventure, and practical experience in daily life situations. The camp had a modest beginning with the inaugural address of our camp director, respected Shri Vivek Jhunjhunwala. In the course of 7 days, students participated in various fun-filled adventure activities, which included 5 days Rock Climbing Course including Scrambling, bouldering, Rock Climbing, Rappelling and River Crossing, Trekking on varied terrains, Meditation, Yoga, Morning Exercise and Funny Games, Interactive Sessions, Cultural Talks, etc. The adventure camp activities help the students to build up stamina, courage, and self-confidence. To keep the body flexible and fit, yoga-based keep-fit exercises are carried out every morning throughout the camp. 

This camp offered a positive and safe environment where children could gain confidence and self-esteem. This camp helped them to understand the importance of time management and discipline in their life. This has been a great learning opportunity and fosters team spirit and mutual understanding among students. The students arrived bubbling with excitement as they headed to participate in such activities for the first time.

The students had a joyful experience. the camp concluded with unforgettable memories.

VKV Rishabhdev: Annual Exhibition ‘Prayas Season 1'

On December 7th, 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya students illuminated their pursuit of knowledge, proudly showcasing their achievements at the "Prayas Season-1" exhibition. The event, opened by Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Bhatt and other esteemed guests, served as a testament to the students' collaborative spirit and competitive drive. VKVians, acting as torchbearers of discovery, presented innovative models rooted in scientific principles and aligned with Sustainable Development Goals, demonstrating a profound awareness of global issues. Beyond scientific ingenuity, the exhibition highlighted diverse talents through art, craft, and IT displays. Notably, students presented models of world wonders and Indian monuments, seamlessly integrating history, mathematics, and science, while emphasizing the critical message of preserving cultural heritage for future generations. The rich array of creative artwork further underscored the students' multifaceted abilities, making the exhibition a stimulating and enriching learning experience for all involved.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Training Program for Students on Energy Conservation Week

From December 7th to 14th, RSWM Rishabhdev Unit (LNJ Group) orchestrated a vibrant Energy Conservation Week, engaging students from classes 5 to 10 in a vital dialogue on energy efficiency and sustainability. A central element was a comprehensive training program for approximately 400 students, designed to demystify energy conservation.

The program featured a detailed presentation on energy forms and electricity generation, practical energy-saving tips applicable to daily life, and compelling demonstrations showcasing the differences between traditional and energy-efficient appliances, such as old versus high-efficiency fans and tube lights versus LEDs, alongside an LDR-based street light control system.

The enthusiastic participation of the students underscored the program's effectiveness. Complementing the training, a drawing and poster competition drew 170 students, who creatively expressed their understanding of energy conservation. Cash prizes and consolation awards recognized their efforts. A lively action song on energy conservation, performed by Class 4 students, further amplified the event's message. In conclusion, the week successfully cultivated awareness and inspired students to embrace energy-efficient practices, laying the groundwork for a more sustainable future.

VKV Rishabhdev: Achievement in Archery

We are delighted to announce that Rohini Damor, a student of Class IX, has brought laurels to our school by achieving the "First Position" in the team event at the 24th Tribal National Game Archery 2024, held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Rohini participated in the Under-14 category and showcased exemplary skill, focus, and determination to secure this prestigious accomplishment. Her remarkable performance has made her family, school and peers immensely proud.

VKV Hurda: Achievements in Sports

Four students were selected for the Air Weapons Shooting National Trials and amongst them one student, Sanjeet Choudhary of class VIII has been selected to participate at the National Shooting Competition U-14 (Shooting) at Bhopal in January month.

Aardhya Upadhyay participated in Bhilwara Rated Tournament and increased 82 Rating points and received Rs.35000/ with Trophy. Alokik Maheshwari and Jigyasa Vaishnav will be participating at National Level.

VKV Hurda: SDG Club Activities

Under the SDG Club, various activities were organized to make the students aware of the importance of SDG for the better future. Activities were focused on various SDG Goals, emphasizing the Power of One, Mental Health, Meditation and Seed Bank Activity for Zero Hunger.

VKV Hurda: “Eduspectrum” – All Subject Exhibition

On November 14, 2024, Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya in Hurda held the "Eduspectrum" exhibition, showcasing projects in science, commerce, robotics, and arts. The event commenced with Vedic chants and a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The Chief Guest, Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Superintendent of Police from Bhilwara, graced the event and observed the various exhibits presented by the students.

Students exhibited a wide array of projects, models, and working demonstrations. Models included innovations like drones, eco-coolers, wastewater management solutions, biogas production systems, earthquake indicators, and solar irrigation setups, and environmental conservation.

The exhibition was a significant event that showcased the knowledge, skills, and innovation of students.

VKV Hurda: Annual Award Ceremony Function

A grand awards ceremony was organized at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda on 19 October 2024 to honour the students as well as their parents for their outstanding achievements in academic and co-scholastic activities for the session 2022-23 and 2023-24.

VKV Hurda: Children’s Fair

A grand and colorful fair was organized on November 15, 2024. The main objective of this fair was to expose the students to various aspects of life through cultural, educational and social activities in which students, teachers and the local community participated with great enthusiasm.

The fair made the students understand the importance of working together and provided them a great opportunity to showcase their talents. Thus, the fair was not only a cultural event but also an important step in the all-round development of the students.

VKV Hurda: Grandparents Day Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hurda, celebrated Grandparents' Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The event, organized for students from Nursery to Class 2, was graced by the esteemed presence of chief guests, grandparents of our students.

The young students presented delightful performances, including vibrant dances and melodious songs, which captivated the audience and brought smiles to their grandparents' faces. Each performance reflected the students’ love and respect for their grandparents.
