Heritage-the State has many notable spots that bear testimony to its rich heritage. One such landmark is the magnificent Tawang Monastery which is 113 feet long and 80 feet wide. Built in 17th century, this monastery is inhabited by Buddhist monks belonging to the Mahayana School of Buddhism (Gelukpa sect).
