HO Noida: POSH Training Conducted for Employee Welfare

Prof. (Brig.) Ramesh Chandra conducted a comprehensive POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) training at our Head Office in Noida! This vital training, mandated by the POSH Act, is crucial for fostering a safe and respectful workplace.

Employees gained deep insights into defining sexual harassment, understanding the legal framework, and clear reporting procedures. The sessions also covered our company's policies, all aimed at building a culture of respect and equality. Our Internal Committee members also received exclusive, in-depth training. This initiative reinforces our commitment to preventing harassment, protecting employees, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment for everyone.

RSWM-Kharigram: Training on Ring-frame Breakage

As a part of technical skill enhancement of staff members, training cum awareness session on how to control Ring Frame breakage was organised on April 23, 2025. The Technical Team took this session for all technical officers. They explained about Functioning, Length, Technical faults and their remedies, Naps, etc. During this interaction session, participants also came out on this platform to discuss their queries, technical issues, etc, which were addressed properly.

RSWM-Kharigram: Workshop on Quality Circle

A workshop on Quality Circle (QC) was organised on 16th May at Kharigram. During the training session, Sh Vinod Kumar Purohit - CTSC briefed about QC aspects in running projects at the department/Unit level. He also explained about basics, uses of quality concepts, techniques, and their importance. This program was very useful in terms of higher productivity and cost-saving aspects.

RSWM-Kharigram: HR Department Conducts Awareness Programme on Employee Benefits & Loan Policy

The HR Department of Kharigram conducts time-to-time refresher training for staff members to make them aware and update them about various policy aspects and give clarity as and when required. In this context, an awareness programme on employee benefits & loan policy was conducted on 07th May 2025. A total of 30 staff members benefited from this programme, and they were encouraged to organise such awareness sessions periodically.

RSWM-Kharigram: Training on Emergency Preparedness at Workplace

HR Department organised a safety awareness programme on June 24, 2025, which was presented by Sh Dileep Chourasia, Safety Manager. Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Commercial, and Production departments, staff attended this programme. The topics covered -Fire Fighting, Evacuation Plan, Emergency Exit, Assemble method, etc. He educated all personnel to follow safety rules and how to respond to different emergencies.

RSWM Knits: Information Exchange Session Over Tea

Mr. Arvind Maurya, Business Head of RSWM (Knits), Mordi started a new initiative to increase the business in which at the end of the month all the senior and junior officers have a tea discussion in the meeting hall where all the information related to the plant is discussed and suggestions are given and taken in the interest of the plant.

RSWM-Ringas: Conducted Fire Drill Sessions

Three fire drills had been conducted sequentially on April 25, May 25, and June 25, 2025, on a Dry Drill and Wet Drill basis. During the drills, the various important steps along with their priorities were taught to participants. Also, it was explained how to fight against emergency fire situations.

RSWM-Rishabhdev: Training & Capacity Building

A one-day session on Training and Capacity Building Program was held at Rishabhdev on April 29, 2025.  Asstt. Manager and the above officers participated in the programme. This one-day workshop was enjoyed by all, and very good feedback was received from the participants.  Shri Jagdeep Singh, Regional Director, CBWE, Udaipur, was the faculty.

RSWM-Lodha: CT Skills Development Programme

A motivational programme was successfully conducted by the HR & Training Department at the RSWM Lodha Plant to recognize and encourage the efforts of our workers. During the event, trainee workers who had completed their training period ahead of schedule and were CT(Class Trainee) promoted to the next level (LCT) Semi Skilled before the time frame were felicitated and rewarded with gifts.

The programme was efficiently organized and led by Shri Abhimanyu Singh (HR), Shri Sukhendra Pal Sharma (Training), along with a dedicated team of mentors who played a pivotal role in guiding and training the workers. Their combined efforts contributed significantly to the success of the programme and the development of the workers.

RSWM-Lodha: Induction Training Program for Newly Joined Employees

As per the HR policy, an Induction Training Programme was successfully conducted at RSWM Lodha for newly joined employees. The training was structured into three key modules: HR Training, IT Training, and Safety & Security Training, aiming to provide comprehensive orientation and ensure smooth integration into the organization.

1. HR Training

Conducted by Shri Abhimanyu Singh (Deputy Manager – HR), this session focused on company rules and regulations, along with detailed guidance on the use of the HR Portal for various employee services and self-service options.

2. IT Training

Delivered by the IT Team, this session covered the usage of internal IT Portals, including how to raise indents, access IT services, and follow standard IT protocols for efficient work processes.

3. Safety & Security Training

Led by Shri Kalpesh Pandey (Safety Officer), this session addressed critical safety topics such as Emergency prepared plan, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Near Miss Reporting, Unsafe Acts & Conditions, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The session also included a live demonstration on the operation of firefighting equipment and practical guidance on emergency response procedures. The training was well-received and appreciated by all staff members for its relevance and practical value.

The induction programme provided new employees with essential knowledge, tools, and awareness to begin their journey at RSWM with confidence and clarity.

RSWM Lodha: Awareness Session on Market Complaints

A session was conducted by Shri Sukhadev Babasaheb Vhatkar (General Manager – SQC) and his team at the RSWM Lodha unit to address product quality complaints received from the market. During the session, Shri Naresh Kumar Bahedia (Chief Executive & Business Head – SYB) discussed the issues originating from our end, proposed appropriate solutions, and took necessary actions toward resolving the complaints.

RSWM-Lodha: School Visit to Kapaas Unit

RSWM Lodha Plant organized a visit for students from a local government school to provide them with practical exposure and real-life industry experience. During the programme, Shri Abhimanyu Singh briefed the students on the industrial processes, inspired them with motivational insights for their future, and shared key information regarding potential career opportunities in the industry.

Following the session, the students visited our newly established Kapaas Unit, where they observed operations first-hand. The visit concluded with students sharing their valuable feedback and reflections on the experience, expressing the knowledge they gained during the tour

RSWM-Lodha: Conducted 5s Training to reinforce workplace improvement

On 30th May 2025, a training session on 5S Maintenance was conducted at the entire Lodha Unit. The objective of the session was to reinforce the principles of workplace organization and continuous improvement under the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

The training was led by Shri Satyakam Srivastava, General Manager – Open End, whose deep expertise and practical insights added immense value to the session.

All Zone Leaders and Auditors actively participated in the training, ensuring that key personnel are aligned with the company’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, and efficiency through 5S practices.

RSWM-Lodha: Training on Emergency Preparedness, Health, Safety, & Fire Drill

A compulsory training program on Emergency Preparedness, Health and Safety, and Fire Drill was conducted at the Lodha Unit from 08th to 10th May 2025. The session was led by Safety Officer Shri Kalpesh Pandey to strengthen the safety culture and ensure that all employees are well-prepared to respond effectively in case of emergencies.

During the three-day program, Shri Pandey successfully covered all workmen in the unit, educating them on Emergency response procedures, Workplace health and safety protocols, Fire safety measures and evacuation drills, Proper use of firefighting equipment, and Reporting hazards and incidents promptly

The hands-on fire drill and interactive safety demonstrations helped reinforce practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. This training is part of the unit’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe, secure, and compliant workplace for all employees.

RSWM-LNJ Denim: Training on ISO 45001-2018 - HIRA Training

A training session on ISO 45001-2018 HIRA was conducted on April 21, 2025. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp & prayer by Shri Arbind Mishra – Head HR & IR. The one-day training program was provided to our LNJ Denim & Knits employees. A total of 30 employees participated in the program.  It was imparted by Sh. Sushil Sharma from BSI. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about the ISO 45001-2018 HIRA requirement in the plant & how it is working in the plant after implementation.

ISO 45001-2018 HIRA provides a holistic framework for the fair treatment of workers. It was concluded with a written examination & explored the feedback by all participants.  It was a great learning experience for the employee. All the participants were observed to be highly appreciative of the programme.

RSWM Mandapam: Training Program on Fire Safety & Fire Hydrant System

On June 14, 2025, a training program on Fire Safety & use of Fire Hydrant System was held at the Mandapam Unit. The session, led by Mr. Anil Bishnoi, Senior Engineer of Fire & Safety, aimed to clarify the critical role of industrial safety in daily operations and emphasize its importance to all participants.

HEG: Industrial Visits by Students from Reputed Colleges & Universities of Bhopal

Between April and May 2025, HEG Limited hosted students from several institutions, including LNCT University, Global Skills Park, Govt. College Rehti Sehore, and SAGE University, for industrial visits. These visits provided students with valuable exposure to the electrode manufacturing process, offering them a platform to enhance their technical knowledge and prepare for future careers in the industry. By fostering learning and development, HEG Limited is committed to helping students bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application.

RSWM-Ringas: Plant visit by MBA students of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shekhawati University, Sikar

As a part of CSR, a delegation of MBA students with teachers of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shekhawati University, Sikar, visited our Plant on May 17,.2025. The HR team facilitated them and arranged a detailed visit inside the mills, where technical members explained the technology and process.
The students learned about various processes of yarn manufacturing and felt extremely delighted to see the technology and setup.

Maral Sarovar: Workshop on Cyber Security and IT Awareness

A workshop on CyberSecurity and IT Awareness was held at Maral Sarovar on June 28, 2025, for a batch of 20 staff members.  The trainers from the IT department, Mr. Rakesh Patidar and Mr. Murli Purohit, explained various cybersecurity threats and how to safeguard from cyberattacks.

ADHPL: Mega Mock Drill Conducted

ADHPL took part in a mega mock drill conducted by the DDMA on June 06, 2025. The scenario of the mega mock drill was a Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) in the project catchment area on Allain side of the project, resulting in a sudden rise of discharge in Allain stream, causing damage to the establishments in the downstream areas, with a few injured persons in small HEPs located downstream of our project.

In the drill, the effectiveness of the Early Warning System (EWS) installed by ADHPL to alert the stakeholders was checked, and it was found to be effective. A few villagers and employees trapped in the flood waters were rescued and shifted to the temporary relief camp set up in the Mechanical Workshop area of ADHPL.

MPCL: Fire Mock Drill Conducted

MPCL site staff conducted a tier 1 mock drill on June 26, 2025, at the barrage site, which took 45 minutes. The scenario of the mock drill was that the barrage’s pantry was on fire, and all designated components & team members worked perfectly.

MPCL: Mock Drill of Flood and Drowning Rescue

MPCL site staff conducted a tier 1 mock drill on May 10, 2025, at the barrage site involving all plant components to check its emergency preparedness & response planning. The scenario of the mock drill was a person trapped in a reservoir and rescued by the team. All designated components & team members worked perfectly.

MPCL: Conducted Plant Safety Committee Meeting

Safety Committee Meeting of the MPCL site was held on June 28, 2025, at 03:30 p.m. in the conference hall to discuss issues related to the implementation of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment in MPCL, which was chaired by the Plant Head. The Member Secretary welcomed all the participants present at the meeting and started the discussion on agenda points, keeping in view of workers’ involvement.
