TACC: Participation in Synthetic and Natural Graphite Conference (SNGC) in China
TACC participated in the Synthetic and Natural Graphite Conference (SNGC) organized by ICCSino in China from March 12th to 13th, 2025. Recognized as a leading global platform, ICCSino brings together industry leaders, researchers, and manufacturers to discuss the latest trends shaping the future of energy storage.
The conference reaffirmed the strong and continuing role of graphite-based anodes, especially synthetic graphite, which remains the industry standard for its proven reliability, structural stability, long cycle life, and market maturity. Synthetic graphite’s ability to offer consistent performance without the issues of volume expansion makes it an essential material for electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and electronics.
Emerging developments in silicon-based anodes were also discussed, showcasing their potential for higher energy density, while ongoing research continues to address challenges related to volume expansion and durability through silicon-carbon composites. Meanwhile, phosphorus-carbon anodes were introduced as a futuristic material under early exploration for high-capacity and cost-effective solutions, particularly for next-generation energy storage applications.
The key message from ICCSino emphasized that while new materials like silicon and phosphorus are being developed, synthetic graphite continues to be the backbone of the lithium-ion battery industry and will remain critical in meeting the demands of both current and future technologies.
TACC’s participation reflected its commitment to staying at the forefront of global advancements, strengthening its position in delivering high-quality, reliable anode materials for a sustainable energy future.
