The Accidental Audience
A professor flew to the Middle East, eager to deliver a speech on human rights. He arrived at the venue, stepped onto the podium, and was stunned to find the room utterly empty—save for one man.
Determined to share his important message, the professor gave his full, passionate speech to this sole attendee. Afterward, curious, he approached the man. "Of all the people in the Middle East," he began, "why were you the one person who came to hear about human rights?"
The man immediately corrected him with a polite smile: "I'm sorry, sir, but I'm the next speaker."
