RSWM: Participation in CITI Global Textile Conclave
Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) has completed 60 years of its service to the industry and nation in the year 2018. To celebrate this important occasion, CITI organized “CITI Global Textiles Conclave 2018” on 27th & 28th November 2018 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The theme of the event is “Disruptions and Innovations for Sustainable Growth”. During this two-day long event, interactions with global T&C businessmen, buyer-seller meet, exhibitions, award function, launch of special publication and reports covering the entire journey of the CITI and T&C industry was showcased.
The Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, inaugurated CITI’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations – Global Textiles Conclave 2018 (CITI GTC 2018) on 27th November 2018, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani also graced the occasion with her presence and delivered the Keynote Address in the Inaugural Session of the conclave.
During the conclave, Shri Shekhar Agarwal, Vice-Chairman, RSWM Ltd. received an Industry Pioneer Award by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu which is a great achievement for the company.
In a session during the conclave, Shri B.M. Sharma, Jt. Managing Director, RSWM Ltd. participated as a Panelist and discussed on “Improving profitability of India’s Textiles and Apparel Industry”. He gave his valuable & worthy suggestions on the topic.
RSWM: Won Golden Peacock Award
RSWM Limited has been felicitated with Special Commendation for ‘Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance’ for the year 2018, by Awards Jury under the Chairmanship of Justice (Dr.) Arijit Pasayat, former Judge, Supreme Court of India. Golden Peacock Awards, instituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD), India in 1991, are now regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence worldwide and no other Business Award today receives the kind of recognition and adulation among peers, which Golden Peacock does. The Special Commendation Certificate is presented to RSWM Ltd. during Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony held on 25th October, 2018 at Hotel Montcalm, Marble Arch, London, United Kingdom. RSWM Ltd. has added yet another feather in their cap by winning this prestigious Golden Peacock Award.
RSWM: Gold Trophy in TEXPROCIL Annual Export Award 2017-18
The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, popularly known as TEXPROCIL held its Annual Export Awards function at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai on November 03, 2018. Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani was the chief guest and distributed the awards to the proud winners in their respective categories. During Texprocil Annual Export Award for FY 2017-2018, RSWM has won Gold Trophy for the highest exports of “Processed Yarns” under category II. The Gold Trophy was received by Shri KulBhushan, Head-Exports (Melange) by Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani. It was an exciting and unforgettable moment for RSWM family.
LNJ Denim: Silver Plaque in TEXPROCIL Export Award 2017-2018
The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, popularly known as TEXPROCIL has been the international face of cotton textiles from India facilitating exports worldwide. Texprocil has a membership of around 3,000 companies spread across major textile clusters in India. We have won TEXPROCIL Annual Export Award 2017-2018 of Silver Plaque for the Second Highest Exports of 'Denim Fabrics' under Category I. The award was received by Shri Uday Dinkar Rane - Vice President - Marketing from the Honourable Minister of Textiles and the chief guest, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani on 3rd November 2018. This was one of the celebrating and proud movement for LNJ Denim.
Kharigram: QCFI - Best Poem Award
The RSWM Kharigram team participated in NCQC 2018, organized at Gwalior by QCFI India. We won best poem prize at national level on the topic “Igniting Mind for Innovation Through Quality Concepts". Shri Vinod Purohit, CTS Cell presented the poem at the event and Kharigram unit won this poem competition in the second consecutive year. This was a great achievement for RSWM Kharigram unit and everyone was really happy by winning this award back to back for two years.
HEG: Instant Recognition & Appreciation
In creating high performance work place, recognition is a motivating factor that provides employees with increased job satisfaction and encouragement to perform their jobs more effectively. HR-L&D launched “Instant Reward Policy” back in 2013, where any exceptional work/special tasks performed by the employee or a team, is recognized & rewarded on the spot by plant Senior Officials. This Quarter (Oct-Dec 2018) a total of 5 rewards have been disbursed in various activities covered under Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivered by Operations & Maintenance Team. The staff members who has been appreciated were really happy & also being motivated towards working hard and efficiently.
HEG: Long Service Award
A program of Long Service Awards was organized on 13th October, 2018 at HEG Ltd. The key to employee loyalty is recognition, therefore, Long Service Awards are aimed at reinforcing best behaviors and highlighting achievements along with employee appreciation for their efforts. The practice of rewarding employee for their long term contribution to the company is an old one and with this reward the employee feels motivated and put his genuine efforts towards organisational growth.
HEG: Total Employee Involvement Award
Employee Involvement is a workplace approach resulting in the right conditions for all members of an organization to give of their best each day, committed to their organization’s goals and values, motivated to contribute towards organizational success with an enhanced sense of their own well-being.
The Employee Involvement Awards announced for the employees who was involved in different activities like - Quality Circles, SGA and Suggestion. The award function was organized on 19th November 2018 and everyone was really happy with this kind of appreciation.
National Shooting Competition 2018
A National level shooting competition was organised at Thiruvanantapuram, Kerala by National Riffle Association of India in November - December 2018. In the competition there were players from all over the country representing their states. One of the shooter, Miss Shivangi Kanawat from Bhilwara district represented the Rajasthan team along with Jaya Shekhawat from Jaipur and Kirti Rathore from Ajmer. They together achieved a score of 608.2 (Shivangi), 595.3 (Jaya) & 593.7 (Kirti) in the tournament and won Bronze medal in 50 Mtrs (.22) 3 Position Riffle category for Rajasthan State. It was the first medal in Riffle women category for Rajasthan which is a big achievement. Shivangi Kanawat was really happy and thanked her coach and sister as they have put in lot of hard work during her shooting practices for National level.
